Woody Harrelson hosted Saturday Night Live and used his opening monologue to criticize Big Pharma's response to COVID-19:
"The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in… https://t.co/3elrFv53GW pic.twitter.com/i0PfNrlcGd

SNL hasn’t been funny since the 90’s.
MC, kindly revisit the Pick Up a Shovel thread. Updated.
The 70’s and 80’s were the best years, IMHO.
Remember the prescription arthritis pills with the adult-proof cap, called “Tryopenin”?
And the floorwax which doubled as a whipped dessert topping?
And the oven cleaner ad sold with cartoonish sexual overtones?
It was largely clever and imaginative satire, four and a half decades ago.
Don’t forget the bass o matic!
The original ‘Not Ready For Prime Time Players’ … minus Chevy Chase …
The last time it was funny is when Eddie Murphy paid them a visit.
A little late but better than never.bruce “OBEY THE PHARMA” springsteen is very pissed now.
Good. Never liked him either.
Good morning!
Mornin Scrutinizer
No news to any non snl loving, Trump hating, acela corridor douchebag. But since it’s promoted on a third rate comedy show, guess it’s news.
And this…
Never been a fan of Bill Maher, but he is an old fashioned liberal, not a radical progressive like we see throughout the country these days. Woody sounds like he is wasted.
I agree. Woody really is a bit of a nut job. You probably know to that his father was in jail on 1st degree murder.
Woody is the nut job huh? There’s a reason he has never been allowed to be a big star in Hollyweird.
God, Have mercy on me. I agree with Woody Harrelson.
It’s a bit of a shock to the system, ain’t it?
I’m not surprised Woody took this stance at all.
If it’s on TV, and especially as prominent as the SNL opening monologue, then it has been approved by the highest places.
They hope to gain something from the admission at this point in time, probably to give the illusion of honesty (“see, we admit that we made a good natured mistake. No evildoing here.”)
Every episode of SNL has two shows, one recorded in front of an audience in the afternoon, the second that evening. The first is recorded so that if anything goes wrong on the second show, it can be patched in. The show is recorded live, not broadcast that way.
Remember a few months ago when Ye was wrecking the narrative? And SNL dragged Dave Chappelle out to deflect attention away by saying some relatively benign things? There was this brief spate of outrage from the usual suspects, but remember me telling you that it was deliberate and the tell ould be whether or not Chappelle kept his multi-million dollar deal with Netflix? remember what happened a week after that SNL monologue?
Yes, those are the sounds of crickets and tumbleweeds, your imagination is not playing tricks.
Good catch, Svarga.
Comedy is often used to soften hard truths for public consumption, from court jesters to political cartoons. I am guessing the boardroom plan was for the nation to have a good belly laugh, forget all about it, and move on. Instead we got silence..
Let’s see if he has a career come Monday.
Or succumbs during a surgery like Joan Rivers after she outed Big Mike Obammy as a man.
Tis a start, how about the path to justice, fuck it,revenge for the victims!
Awesome!
I haven’t watched SNL since the 70s liked the samurai delicatessen and other Belushi stuff .
Woody knows how it works as his Dad was CIA, and confessed to being one of JFK’s shooters. That’s how he bought Woody’s career. Hollywood has a lot of CIA family.
Music biz, too:
WEIRD SCENES INSIDE THE CANYON: LAUREL CANYON, COVERT OPS & THE DARK HEART OF THE HIPPIE DREAM, by DAVID McGOWAN

Everything’s a psyop.
You got it. That’s what I was referring to.
Thanks, I’ve been meaning to take a look before I got a hardcopy.
You can also access this without having to download a .pdf on the late Dave McGowan’s website (which is moderated by one of his surviving daughters):
SNL died with Belushi. And as for Woody, phuck him, his whole career was part of the pay off to his dad for whacking JFK, (“We can’t do much for.you, so if you keep your mouth shut we’ll make sure your kid does OK”, kinda thing) and I’m sorry, but I still can’t get past that.
Yeah, but that’s just the trade rags. Wait until the Big Boys @ Network put their boot on his face. I don’t think this is quite over.
Woody might end up like he did in No Country For Old Men.
The silence of the crowd goes to show the complete indoctrination of the younger generation.
It is a little odd that the Boomers raged against the brainwashed older masses in their youth, and are now raging against the brainwashed youth, in their old age… Never saw that one coming….
Well isn’t that nice after they spent two years abusing us and hoodwinked 70% of the population into taking the death dart. How convenient. They’re hoping you forget….don’t.
