I worked at J & L Steel in Cleveland in ’71 or ’72 in the 84″ hot strip mill. The coils of steel coming off that line were still about 1100º F … and one of the guys got pinned between 2 of them when one of them rolled into him. You could hear him scream the full 5,000′ length of that building … he was still alive when the ambulance took him away … he died before getting to the ER.
