I see no evidence whatsoever that God gives a damn about America … or, at a minimum, that he cares more for America than, say, Russia. Why would he?? As such, I have ZERO confidence that prayer works. It’s a waste of air and sounds like clanging cymbals.
CONCLUSION: A powerless people, a demonic government, and a vacant God? Yeah, I’d say that America is beyond saving. IOW, we’re fucked six ways to Sunday.

Is It Too Late For Us?

My wife, Peggy, died almost a year ago following a very long, $2 million dollar, six year battle with cancer. We prayed for her healing nonstop and tried every form of treatment known to mankind. In the end, neither the snake oil, nor the prayers turned out as we’d hoped. She slowly continued dying to the life she held onto so desperately.
Perhaps three to four months prior we realized that God, for whatever reason in His infinite wisdom, was not going to heal her. The pain and sickness from both the cancer and the treatment, and all of the side effects, became so horrible and excruciating, so unbearable, that I actually began to pray that the Lord would take her. I hated myself for doing that, but I wanted her suffering to be over. She was pure Irish and she died, fittingly, early in the morning on St. Patrick’s Day.
It’s taken me all of this time to realize I actually did the right thing. But it felt so wrong at the time. Praying for someone to die? I felt so unfaithful. Yet, had we continued to pray and work for physical healing, we would have faced worse pain and increased suffering. Why? Because the season of healing for her on this Earth had passed and we both knew it. So, we pretty much nixed the stuff from the snake oil salesmen in mid-December.
I’ve wondered if this is the same situation we face today in America? Could it be that the season has also passed for America’s healing? Could it be that it’s time to ask our Heavenly Father in all His mercy to end this facade we once knew as America? It’s just a question.
In the end, my wife was a mere shadow of what she once was. She had become skinny, weak, nauseous, mentally unstable, pain-ridden and incontinent, 24/7. Today, I see America in the same shape. We are not even a facsimile of what we once were, having been eaten away by a ravaging cancer of corruption. Only those who do more than just watch the nightly news on the main stream media truly see what is going on behind this present tragedy, and can see that America is on life-support and about to flatline. My wife and I made a pact that when it got that bad one of us would pull the plug for the other. We did so. Not long after, a great nephew was born. Life begins again.
Having been immersed as a political consultant for 30 years, I’ve been involved with many great legislators and warriors WORKING and PRAYING all that time trying to save this good ship Lollipop that Little Miss Shirley Temple used to sing about — back when it wasn’t listing and taking on water. Meanwhile, most of those around us, so-called Christian patriots and pastors, did very little, other than ignore it. Overtime, I’ve learned that most people — not all, but most — who would get angry at this question I’m asking here — are the same people who never got off their thumbs and did much of anything to help save this country anyway — except words of prayer. Is prayer enough? Or, do we include anything with that prayer? Like, putting our money where our mouths are.
We have mistakenly believed that America is too big to fail. We have mistakenly believed that because of America’s blessed beginnings from those days at Plymouth plantation that God would always protect us no matter how corrupt we became. We understand that everything else in our lives needs our personal effort, such as, work, marriage, and family, but somewhere along the line we bought into this notion that how this nation turns out is strictly up to the Lord.
Sorry, but it does not work like that.
Things have now gone so horribly bad, become so utterly and profoundly corrupt — just like what happened to my wife’s body — that, as with her, we are far beyond any reasonable expectation of healing. That’s where I see America today. We are literally living on life support in the cancer ward. And no longer can we blame it on the Republicans or the Democrats, or Joe Biden, or the Bushes, Obama, or Trump. It is not their fault. It is my fault. It is your fault.
Does my saying so offend?
I, too, have never cared much for Chicken Littles who run around saying the sky is falling. But I strongly fear that it’s now too late for this once great America. We are now reaping what we have sown for at least four generations. Yet we pray that God will, by some miracle, send a hoard of angels down and clean up this mess — a mess for which we, and we alone, are quite responsible.
Doesn’t the Lord love America? Yes, I am sure He does. But He loved other countries and civilizations that went under. Did He have a purpose for America. Yes, but He seeks a people that will represent that purpose. And wasn’t that purpose to establish His kingdom on Earth — as it is in Heaven? I could be wrong, but, over time I seriously doubt the Father cares what chunk of land on which that happens. The America that was meant to be is no more. In my view, as with my wife, the season has passed.
Almost everyone I talk to in and out of the church today tells me that they have quit watching the news at night because it’s so depressing. Really? But isn’t what we see happening around us on the news a call to action? I’ve found that in most cases, those who are depressed over our present dilemma never did very much to help the situation anyway. Like Chatty Cathy dolls, they pull their own string over and over again to remind us that we are simply living in the end times. Therefore, what can I do about it anyway? The Jesus bus is just around the corner, soon to show up and take all good Americans out of here. So, let someone else worry about it.
Then there are the great revivals that all good preachers love to cite. Revivals are important when they truly change lives. But, as cynical as I’ve become, I’ve often felt that too often revivals have been man-made, rather than of God. I truly hope the ones we are hearing about now are God made. Revivals, as Marie Curie once stated, are for the …improvement of man in order to improve the world. Other than that, they become just another place to pass the collection plate.
If you’re taking this personally, and the question I’m proposing makes you angry, then you need to ask yourself just what it is that you did to prevent America from getting like this? What sacrifice did you make to keep the present filth out of your children’s elementary schools, other than turning off the TV news and ignoring it all together? What treatments and efforts did you take part in to remove the cancer that is killing America? Did you pray? What did you do to accompany that prayer? We are free to get as angry as we want about what is going on around us, but until we fall down on our faces and join in a revival that is real; one that actually changes our own attitudes and turns into action, then we have no right to be angry.
I believe the season for America’s healing has passed. Yes, I hope I am wrong, but I desperately fear that this time I am not. The evil cancer that rages throughout our nation’s body at this time in history, is unlike any before. Yes, I do believe God is capable of stopping it and healing this nation. But He first must get our attention, so that He can use us to accomplish that task. I hate to think what it might take to get our attention.
Other than Grace, which was the only real free gift of God, everything else requires our earnest participation. Am I telling you to stop praying? Not at all. Pray harder. But this time put something with that prayer, otherwise save your breath.
Good news. God will not be denied. Because more important than America’s survival, is the establishment of His kingdom on earth. We could very well be dead as a nation, but God will raise up another people in another country, in another time — like happened one time in America — and continue to build his kingdom on earth.
And it may just happen right where you are now standing.

TR, you’re quoting James, and to those who he ministered to, yes, faith without works is dead. This is where a tremendous amount of confusion enters the picture. We need to know to whom was James speaking, as context is everything.
James 1:1 KJB… “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.”
Christians today are not members of any of the tribes of Israel. These are the people who need to “endure to the end in order to be saved”. They, remnant Israel, the “little flock” have a task that is as of yet not completed; the “great commission” in Mat 28. The Hebrew epistles are written to Hebrew believers and are yet future occurrences.
Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles (us) literally instructs us NOT to work. If works were involved in our salvation, God would owe us something and God owes us absolutely nothing.
Romans 4:3-5 KJB… “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. We don’t earn forgiveness. We don’t deserve it. We deserve damnation. That is what makes the grace of God so “amazing”; we don’t deserve His favor, yet He offers it anyway.
Dispensational Bible study is mandatory. It removes all confusion. If we simply believe the words as written, the scales fall from the eyes and the whole of scripture is opened to one’s clear understanding. Most people unfortunately will read James 1:1 and dismiss it outright, or believe that we have somehow taken Israel’s place.

Both are correct in so doing, even though the contents and conditions of the promises are different. In the first, God asks nothing of Abraham. In the second he must act upon that faith.
Thus to Paul it is faith without works and to James, faith without works is dead. We have two distinct groups of people with two very different sets of promises.
The Hebrews are Gods earthly people. To them does an earthly kingdom come. We are Gods heavenly people. We go to be with the Lord in the heavenly places! Israel is the mechanism by which God redeems the earth via Christ. The body of Christ is the mechanism by which God redeems the heavens back to Himself via Christ. Christ is the foundation of both the earthly and the heavenly programs, as both the heavens and the earth are sin spoiled, both require redemption.

A2: If you’d asked me that question as recently as five years ago I could have told you, but as I noted at the time, it would require doing things that would not be done, for no other reason than it would be hard.

I used to run around with the most amazing fighters you could imagine. NOTHING was going to stop them. Well…it happened. Things happened. Reality sunk in. And they gave up. That was a huge gut punch to see everyone slowly giving up. Now we’re all separated and have moved on. It sucks.
Now, my focus is on family….especially my parents. We all get together with extended relatives once a week and cook, eat, play, and discuss. We have plans for when SHTF, but it won’t be pretty. We discuss our plans weekly and everyone knows their job.
As much as everything sucks, my focus has turned towards my family instead of things I can’t control. And I’m grateful for that because they are the most amazing people and I know they won’t be around forever. I’m truly blessed to have my family…as crazy as they are.
I have fought the fight for many years. I had a mayor threaten to punch me out, a sheriff’s office investigate where paper was purchased that was used for a newsletter exposing school corruption, and an almost endless series of traffic stops and ticketing in an attempt to silence my questioning of suspicious financial activity by the county administrator.
Along the way I found that most people knew and believed that their local officials were corrupt but chose no to do anything as it would inconvenience them and possibly interfere with their daily routine of a seemingly comfortable life.
I have come to the conclusion that if one wants the general public involved in changing the political landscape the first thing that needs to be done would be to disable all broadcasts of professional sports and end lotteries and legal gambling. Take away the public’s pacifier first and make sure that it is broken beyond repair. Tall order, yes. Necessary first step.
The way to get people involved is to make the pain local and personal. What happens in Washington DC or Oregon or California is of no consequence to anyone who doesn’t live there. Few are capable of understanding what the Fed Rate’s effect has on their lives, fewer still understand what the NIH, the CDC, the FCC, the FDA, the CIA, FBI or any of the other letter agencies do or the impact that they can have on one’s daily life.
What can be done? Simple. Act at the local level. Now. Take control of the county election commissioner(s) office and the beginning of the solution comes to hand. Make sure that the local DA is a Constitutional Conservative. See to it that any elected judge is a Constitutional Conservative. Follow the soros playbook to America’s advantage. The fight at the local level can still be won and must be won before there is any hope of state change or national change.
If anyone thinks that there can be a change in the national political landscape without local change, they need to rethink how that would work. Voting in state and national elections is pointless unless the people counting the votes are Patriots. If the internet was jammed/blocked/destroyed for 48 to 72 hours before and during all vote counting facilities, the count would come out closer to the truth.
The only way to save the patient at this point short of getting everyone involved across the country is to see it die. A total breakdown of every aspect of this country is the only thing that would have the effect of forcing people to act. I think that we are headed to a total failure of this America as we knew it. What the new America will look like will depend on who survives the Armageddon.

Is it too late to save America? Yes, and it has ALWAYS been too late to save America.
America is not now and has never been a static thing, an unchanging entity, defined by absolute parameters. When my son was growing up, I did my best to instill him with ethics and honor — but once he left home and went out on his own, it was too late for me to retain him as a child. I “could not save him” because he was no longer mine to save. As it turned out he chose and acted wisely; I am grateful. If by “is it too late to save America” you mean, “can we return to the America of 1776, or 1789, or 1913, or even 1960” then NO, we can never go back. America HAS changed, IS changing, and WILL CONTINUE to change. The real question should be “Inasmuch as nations and people change, what can we still do to create the best future for our descendants?”
Very few of us have national influence. For MOST of us, the answer will be to do the best we can to influence our family, our friends, our local community. If I had to pick just ONE change of habit, it would be this. It has become far too comfortable to keep our mouth shut. If traditions are failing, a lot of the reason is that those of us who still revere tradition have been too quiet. No one wants to be called a racist, a homophobe, a Hitler, or whatever insults are current. We need to speak out and say whatever is TRUE, regardless of how we are attacked for it. We need thicker skins. We need less compromise and more righteous anger. When insulted we need to tell the idiots to go F**k OFF, and keep speaking out. The new tyrants are not winning because they have better ideas. They are winning because no one shouts the truth louder than their lies.
It is too late to “save America”, regardless of what you think America used to be. It is NOT too late to steer our nation into what it might become.

A couple of points: (1) each of us has our individual karmic account to clear — and we will not return to The Creator until that account is cleared; (2) as a holy man once said we should pray only to live in God’s Will …
Praying for anything doesn’t engage us in trying to ascertain and follow God’s Will … it merely seeks something for OUR benefit … sort of in a selfish way, too.
As for those ‘Christians’ — there are so many kinds of ‘Christians’ … and, as with all other organized religions, the ‘fundamentalist’ ones are often the most distant from the Truth or from The Creator. Fundamentalist Christians — a.k.a., Christian zionists, are part of what has brought some of the problems upon US as a Nation by pursuing an angry people whose vision of God is antithetical from the Truth of God … and it’s also entangled the US in a foreign relationship that has always been detrimental to US (since the Balfour Declaration that got US into WW1). The murders we’ve committed due to the twisted relationship known as ‘our friend and ally’ hasn’t helped one bit, either …
A spiritual teacher I’ve heard tells us that we must make our best efforts in all that we do and leave the results up to the Lord — i.e., He will give us the outcome that’s best for us … and that has always made sense to me.
We must always face and move towards the Light … and, as that spiritual teacher has also said, our every act takes us either towards The Creator or away from The Creator — and it’s impossible to return to The Creator if we constantly move away from Him.

I am going on 70 years old and have seen some hard times but not anywhere near what my parents and grandparents experienced. They were hardworking tough people who persevered and thrived. I learned the value of education and hard work from their examples.
I think there are way too many people who are just plain lazy and complacent, living off the government.
WHEN the wheels fall off the economy, I expect there to be civil unrest, looting, and food riots. Most of the lazy will be gone within a few months, perhaps the people who remain will have enough fortitude and common sense to put it all back together.
All you can do is pray, prep, and hope. Surround yourself with hard people, reinforce hard principles, and accumulate hard assets.
