Not caring about anything except survival helps pass time in a war zone, but seconds are all you would have with just your big, fat wallet and a Cash is King plan.
In a war zone, a day’s worth of beans, bullets, clean water and a tarp are priceless; you won’t go far without them. Having them puts you on everyone’s donor list unless their survival depends on yours.

Ok I see. Well, I think I have done some pretty unstable things myself here. But it is all part of growing. And I won’t speak for others but I have family members who have a hard time expressing themselves especially if they feel ganged up on. So I understand. I can be like that too. So I see where you are coming from, me personally, I fully understand him. We are in very complex times and it can be a lot to handle. Especially when we are all being played by the powers that be from dusk till dawn. BL and others have really helped me even if I kicked and screamed all the way. I will forever be grateful for the patience and the positivity they had to “negatively” pound into me. They found what worked for me. Try to practice the positive change you have mentioned you wish to be, and try to keep an open mind. Like I said I’m glad some people didn’t throw the towel in on me. Thanks for hanging on and your explanation. I think HSF sees it somewhat like me. We are all here for each other because out there nobody is.

Charities are all scams. When you have the CEO’s of these charities making millions and year and top executives living high on the hog you are not donating to poor people. If you want to help the poor donate to your local food pantry.
Like the local food bank here. Probably half of the people lining up for food have jobs. Enabling the ones frequenting the food banks is also not a good idea, even IF they are street people. Theres no incentive for them to even want to change their behaviours. They get free food, free money to buy more drugs and repeat the cycle until the drugs or exposure kills them. They are then immediately replaced by another addict, courtesy of the usausa govt.
And they all pick up their free food in 40 k SUVs and weigh 500 lbs .

Must be nice to sit on such a high horse and be able to look down on those less fortunate than you. What’s it like to be so arrogant and so condemnatory and cavalier? Many of those who frequent the food bank are elderly and sick and not really making it on SS. Then there are those who work but have a hard time making ends meet and then there are those who are completely down on their luck, unemployed and living hand to mouth.
Arrogant assholes like you, shooting off your mouth are a dime a dozen. Why don’t you go and actually volunteer in a food bank and see where and how the food that gets in there comes from. Most of the food is expired or near the sell-by date and much would end up in a dumpster were it not donated to food banks.
Then there is the inflation which brings in six dollar a carton eggs along with other costs. Factor in rent, car payments, gas, utilities and all the rest and you discover how many people are barely getting by. To begrude them the stale bread and soon-to-expire milk only proves that you are an arrogant and ignorant asshole.

There are always some like that, but here in the boondocks where I live, they are VERY rare. People here are still mostly ashamed to ask for food. My wife and I (and our church) support LOCAL food programs; screw the big charities, give local or not at all. Most of the food bank people are young families with a single, low income wage earner. Eggs at $4 and bread at $3.50 make it hard to feed the kids and still make the truck payment. And if the truck is gone, the job is gone…
