Nietzsche referred to the will to power as “the primitive motive force out of which all other motives have been derived.” And the State is where this motive force becomes, in his words, “unmorality organized.” Indeed.
Angelo Codevilla may not have coined the term “ruling class”, but no one before or since has given the term more substance, or profiled America’s current ruling class with a level of insight to match.
We’re seeing in real time what happens when a ruling class becomes consumed with the will to power: organized, unrestrained, unmorality in its purest form. In case we somehow come out the other side, I hope some future Nietzsche or Codevilla is taking notes.

People act on what they believe, hence the metaphysical influences upon the political and economic forces within this particular Turning. And each sequential turning on this continent has amplified in proportion with advancements in science.
But, in the digital age, science, belief, politics, and economics are being coalesced on a global scale, and in the form of Scientism (just as predicted decades ago by philosophers such as C.S. Lewis and Augusto Del Noce).
People either act according to transcendent objective truth… or… secular/historical materialism.
I ran out of time in April to post an article but I did get a small update posted on my blog yesterday. Upon the persistent mentions by the commenter “m” here on TBP, I am reading Del Noce’s “Crisis of Modernity” and it is fascinating.
Del Noce predicted the violence, too. In a chapter entitled “The Technocratic Society”, he referenced Marx and Nietzsche and their view of values as “reflections of given historical situations” so that values exist solely in the “movement of history” which makes values subject to birth and death. On the same page (140), Del Noce references modern “mass media” and “groups” who “control and direct the flow of information” and “the semi-educated” man who “does not know that he does not know”.
How can people wake up when they don’t know they’re asleep? Perhaps they will awaken in the (to use Admin’s term) cascade of forthcoming consequences, but, by then, the noose will already be wrapped too tightly around their necks they won’t escape, ya know?
Perhaps many will awaken given that conditions are even more dramatic than they’ve been for the past at least three years. I suspect they’ll be awaken by just another scapegoat for why their lives/society is in chaos and collapsing…like should the PetroDollar rapidly decline, maybe it is the GOPeeeeeee’s failure to sufficiently raise the debt ceiling.
Climate change, bruh….it caused the two party system of DDD sucking vermin to destroy our dollar.

I am of the opinion that large changes are almost impossible without violence. To that extent, bring it on. Because we need to break this particular cycle.

…when vague labels (“ruling class” “elite” ) are personified with names, faces, cultural theosophy, and their crimes against humanity, such that those in high places have no rest from fear and the lowest in the street grants them no peace.
