Putin Targeted In “Terrorist” Assassination Attempt By Drones: Kremlin

Via ZeroHedge

The Kremlin says two drones were sent by Ukraine in an overnight attack on Moscow and on government buildings which it sees as an attempt to assassinate President Vladimir Putin.

A Kremlin press statement called it a “planned terrorist attack” against Putin directly, and says Russia has a right to respond “where and when it deems necessary”.

Getty Images

The president was not injured in the attempted attack and is said to be safe and carrying on his regular work schedule after the drones were “downed” – according to the Kremlin statement, as cited in RIA.

Further the statement emphasized there was no material damage to the president’s offices from falling debris after Russian defenses disabled the inbound UAVs.

“The aircraft were downed using electronic warfare measures and caused no casualties or damage, it said in a statement,” Russian state media RT reports. “Moscow considers the incident an act of terrorism,” and details further:

The incident occurred late on Tuesday night, and both unmanned aircraft fell on the grounds of the Kremlin in Moscow, according to the president’s office. His schedule was not affected.

The statement from the Russian presidency’s office emphasized: “We consider this a preplanned terrorist action and an attempt against the Russian president.” It happened “ahead of Victory Day and the parade on May 9, when foreign guests plan to be present.” The statement detailed, “Two unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin. As a result of timely actions taken by the military and special services using radar warfare systems, the devices were disabled.”

Initial videos from the attack are being widely circulated, strongly suggesting the accuracy of the Kremlin statements of a nighttime attack on central government buildings in Moscow; however, they do appear to show a direct strike of at least one of the drones on a building:

Fire can be seen atop the roof of one of the iconic buildings of the Moscow Kremlin complex…

The Russian presidential spokesman followed-up with this message after the initial Kremlin press release:

As a result of this terrorist act, the President of the Russian Federation was not injured. His work schedule has not changed, it continues as usual,” the message said.

Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov explained that the head of state was not in the Kremlin during what he described as a Ukrainian UAV attack on Tuesday night. He noted that President Putin is currently working from his residence near Moscow.

All of this makes a downed Ukrainian drone incident outside Moscow from last week much more interesting in hindsight, which we covered here: Kremlin Rejects German Media’s ‘Putin Drone Assassination’ Report. It will also be interesting to see whether Russia points the finger at the United States and West for its longtime intelligence support to Kiev, as we reviewed in December based on this statement: We Are Not “Enabling” Or “Encouraging” Ukraine To Strike Within Russia: White House.

Zelenski better start sleeping in the subways.
The most boring “war” ever, might get interesting now.
Still don’t understand why Putin won’t send in the Migs or heavy bombers.
Is he afraid of Ukraine Air Defense systems?

Sending in bombers to turn the cities into gravel pits is a murikan thing.

Pootie stated in the beginning that he didn’t want to harm the people, just the regime. So far, he’s been arterial bleeding the ukies and nato cultists heavily. Its a war of attrition, and when the body of your enemy is in its final spasms and has nothing to harm you with, THEN you merely walk in and take over that house.

The key is patience which is whats frustrating nato and murika. Thats why nato and murika are constantly baiting the ruskies into a murikan style warfare, so they can propagandize it into a full on global conflict. imo.

Auntie Dearest.

This mediocrity approaches the Exalted Throne with trepidation and utmost grovelment, forehead to ground.

Even though the Ukes hate Russia/Russians, it was the Soviets, not the Russians per se, that inflicted the Holodomor. Putin feels fraternal kinship for his fellow Slavs in Ukr, realizing there might still be centuries to go in World History.

Also Putin is being very careful to show restraint, keeping the I’s and T’s dotted and crossed respecting the letter and spirit of international law/norms. When he strikes, no legal/moral fault will be found to levy against him.

Surely the people of Ukraine are growing weary of their installed faggot “leader” throwing their sons, and some daughters too, into his self enriching meat grinder.

I take my departure from the throne in subservient obsequiesness with all due fear for my head’s connection to the rest of me.

Your points are well considered, PSBindy. However, waging a war of attrition grind- on a border is not reflecting well on the leadership, the general staff or the operational units.

Bold moves by the Stavka are indicated before more drone strikes, derailment of trains and other acts of assymetrical warfare make a good offense moot.

And no grovelling, comrades against the B3RG*, that’s only for mask&vaxxtards.

It -would- be nice if Vlad red-misting a green shirted zio puppet and entourage would end this latest neocon adventure in theft and murder. But all parties know that it would be forgotten a month later as replacement figureheads are plentiful.

Perhaps even Xi has requested a slow-walk so that PLA can get a few last bugs worked out of their armada sinking munitions. They are next up for agreement incapable, PNAC savagery.

Thx for the reply Auntie.

I must first say that sometimes my attempt at humor does not translate well in writing. No snark whatsoever was intended. Be assured I indeed hold you in high esteem as I do all the wimminfolk who post here on the Platform that burns but does not consume.

Now as for the war of attrition, there is only one side being abraded by any practical measurement. Putin is getting stronger, better positioned every day while Zelfag/Biden/NATO get weaker.

With this new drone attack on the Kremlin (and I know not if it was a false flag or as presented) Putin further buttresses his position as the adult on the world stage. When his forbearance is exhausted (meaning the time is right) he can clear the chessboard in a week or less.

It will be interesting to see if he has a warning surprise for NATO capitals when he moves. Much of the world supports Russia. It’s dawns early light on a truly new world order without the Davos/WEF boys and girls calling the shots. Probably be good for us aware Americans too.

“We” (i.e. the US) did this.
So, I think that maybe Zelensky made an untoward comment about Vicky Nuland’s weight, or something like that.
He got on the wrong side of somebody in Foggy Bottom and a decision was made that he’s not necessary anymore.
Either way, he’s not going to be among the living for much longer.

Machiavelli in The Prince (see early posting right here on TBP) wrote that “the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge.”
“When you strike at a king, you must kill him.”

That supposed attack on Putin was a joke as in false flag. First they had a high rez video camera pointed right at the dome of the Kremlin (a huge building). You see two small drones, barely the size of a model RC plane. One explodes in a small puff of flame feet above the dome. Another explodes dropping some flaming debris on the dome. No damage done. I expect some naive Russians will fall for that cheesy bit of propaganda. I doubt that Putin was even in the building.

Yeah, I’m sure the Ukies have hundreds of drones which can fly 400 miles distance and at the same time carry more than a few pounds explosive payload. They are just too timid to use them.

This may be a move on Zelenski. Someone may want Zelenski out, so they pull this when he is out of town. If Russia retaliates, great… if not, they can whack Zelenski and blame it on the Russians. Neither the US or the hard line Nazi’s are real happy with Zelenski right now, so they may be thinking it is time for a new puppet… Then they blame everything on Zelenski, and offer Russia a peace deal.

Not that the West will have thought it through, but if NATO get their ass handed to them, what then?

The West is playing a dangerous game. Once they are shown to be substandard to the Russian equipment, which seems the case, Russia will be selling a ton of equipment to people who have scores to settle with the US and NATO.

The USA is no match for a near peer rival. They believe their own lies about the effectiveness of their arms and plan based on these delusions.

Russia, China, Iran etc. have noticed.

The next two decades are going just suck more and more for the US as they fall into impotent irrelevance.
