I GUESS WE’LL JUST HAVE TO PAY RAYTHEON ANOTHER $200M AND SEND MORE

All going according to plan. Your tax dollars pay our arms dealers billions to build weapons to send to Ukraine. Our arms dealers funnel millions to the politicians in DC as payola and Ukraine gives 10% to the big guy. Russia immediately obliterates all the high tech arms and the process starts over again. Meanwhile, the national debt grows at $4 billion per day. What could go wrong.

Russia Says It Took Out US-Supplied Patriot Missile In Hypersonic Strike On Kiev

Russia’s military may have taken out a US-supplied Patriot anti-air battery in Ukraine, which if true would be a very significant first since the advanced Raytheon-made defense weapon was deployed there.

This came as Ukrainian officials have cited an exceptionally dense attack on Kyiv overnight, which included cruise missiles and drones, and even allegedly Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. Ukraine was hit by at least 18 missiles and nine drones were sent, with media reports saying some six ballistic missiles (including Kinzhal) were launched. But the Ukrainians are claiming that most or all of them were intercepted.

Overnight major attack on Ukrainian capital, via Reuters.

Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv city military administration, described the barrage as “exceptional in its density, with the maximum number of missiles in the shortest time possible,” but that “the vast majority of enemy targets in Kyiv’s airspace were detected and destroyed.” Ukraine is now saying it successfully intercepted multiple hypersonic missiles. A previous claim to have intercepted a hypersonic from days ago was met with widespread skepticism among independent pundits.

The Russian Defense Ministry (MoD) has previously dismissed the Ukrainian claims of hypersonic intercepts as “wishful thinking.”

But the Russian side is celebrating a big victory of its own on Tuesday, saying it landed a precision strike a Patriot air defense system in the Ukrainian capital. The US-supplied systems only arrived last month, and just recently entered operation.

The MoD said in its latest press briefing that its attacks destroyed “Ukrainian troops positions and places of storage of munitions, weapons and military hardware delivered from Western nations.”

Russia’s RT followed by stating the following:

A precision strike by a Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missile has destroyed a Patriot air defense system in Kiev, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported on Tuesday. The Ukrainian government previously claimed that Kinzhal missiles had been intercepted by the US-made weapons platform.

The Russian military did not provide further details about the strike, which was the first time Moscow claimed to have hit the long-range system supplied to Ukraine by its Western backers.

Currently there’s speculation over whether a widely circulating video confirms the destruction of a Patriot battery amid the conflicting Russian and Ukrainian claims.

Geopolitical analysis blog Moon of Alabama says the reports of a destroyed Patriot system are accurate:

This is factual:

Patriot Missiles Won’t Save Ukraine – National Interest – May 9, 2023

Patriot systems are limited to pinpoint defense of major assets and are designed to operate in tandem with air defenses engaging targets at higher and lower altitudes. Without these additions, Patriot will have too many threats to engage and the result will either be porous coverage that doesn’t protect its defended assets, or coverage that quickly subsides when Patriot runs out of interceptors. Moreover, Patriot systems are themselves vulnerable. Operating a Patriot radar system gives away its location, making it an open target for Russian attacks. This means that Patriot is not a one-stop-shop for defending Ukraine’s military assets or its people.

Those facts were proven last night

Commenting on the video of the purported Russian direct hit on the Patriot battery, Kim Dotcom wrote on Twitter, “30 US Patriot PAC-3 MSE launch at a cost of $5 million per missile. That’s $150 million gone within 2 mins. At the end the Patriot launch platforms were destroyed by Russian missiles. Why would any military still want to buy Patriot after this failure?

For these reasons, the Pentagon is unlikely to confirm the event even if true, given it consistently and almost exclusively backs the narrative advanced by Ukraine’s defense ministry. For example, last Thursday US defense officials announced confirmation of Ukraine’s claims that its military intercepted an inbound Russian hypersonic missile utilizing the Patriot system. That was the first time of the war that the Ukrainian side claimed to have accomplished the feat. The Kremlin has rejected this narrative, saying its hypersonic missiles have yet to be defeated.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are still claiming they shot down six entire Kinzhal hypersonic missiles in a single night, which seems dubious given the projectiles travel at multiple times to the speed of sound and have been touted since their development as “impossible” to defend against.

This Fabian Hoffmann idiot lives in Oslo. These fucking stupid Europeons believe American bullshit. They watched too many Hollywood movies. They are the ones always talking about NATO as this powerful “alliance”, when it’s 95% just the US military run by ‘tards like Rainbow Milley, Lloyd Austin, Ben Hodges and a few lesbian generals leading an army of trannies and assorted jagoffs.

This is the best mage of Rainbow Milley I can find. Google has scrubbed the better ones.

That always bothered me, even when I was a card carrying zogbot: the theater that NATO is anything but the USA.

The only thing members of the “coalition of the willing” did in Iraq was have adventures for practical experience. They contributed fuckall to any stated or unstated mission goals. I did get to see some smoking hot Lithuanian chicks perform a rock concert, because I got delayed rejoining my unit from a side mission. I also learned Macedonia is still a country, because I saw their flag on a FOB.

The missiles are 4 million each, and the system costs 1.1 billion and has 90 technicians operating it…that’s 1.25 billion and unknown casualties, all in a 2 minute period….

That is a more satisfying account. People should seriously prepare for the worst, and I don’t think hoarding food and guns and ammos will help at all.

Once the battery is up and operational most of the personnel can go away. We only had to man the TOC with an Officer and NCO who rotated out on shifts. There only a couple of people who rotated shifts to keep the gen sets fueled and rotated in out of service.

In fact, once the parameters are set the TOC does not have to be manned. it is a set and go operation other than the gen sets.

Somewhere around 1988 I had orders to ETS back stateside from Amberg FRG and the 3/2 ACR to Fort Bliss where I was to join the some unit of the 3rd ACR. I ended up being transferred once at Fort Bliss to a startup Patriot unit E 3/43. I spent many days and nights on various Airforce bases set up at the end of runways so that pilots could learn to approach the runway without being taken down.

The Airforce has a regular training operation called operation “Red Flag”. During my two years with my unit I spent many months rotating to the side of a mountain near Tonapah Nevada and often found myself with just three other people on site. Two to work shifts to fuel the gen sets and two to guard the remote site. No officer and maybe an NCO.

Now this is when the Patriot was just an anti aircraft system. Not anti missile which came later.

At the time the pilots had to squak a certain ident, fly a certain vector and speed and maybe something else. If not then they would be signaled that a missle was incoming. All in training though.

I saw all kinds of aircraft flying out there in the desert which some haven’t even been heard of before. Let me explain how far out I was on a rocky road up on that mountain. We can stand out there and see our food and fuel convoy on the highway. It would take them and hour to turn off the highway and reach our site. We could see for miles and miles.

The coolest thing ever is to be able to see pairs of F-111 flying supersonic through the valley to fly against our system. The best though is when they fly from behind us at NOE. We would see aircraft had just flown over and then get the blast. Awesome.

Oh, yes. There were a couple of UFO too.

That was informative, but I’m interested in who allows the missiles to be launched, there has to be some sort of command structure, especially in war conditions.
I’ve seen batteries of these pass the house before, maybe three trucks of the actual missiles along with all the other trucks and support vehicles, and with the humvees with the fifty calibers and wreckers and box trucks the convoy is about a quarter mile long if not longer. There has to be a Colonel or Captain in that mix somewhere.
Came home from work one day and at the end of the road where I turn was a box truck from one part of a convoy that had caught on fire and there were all the trucks from the local fire dept out there with everyone standing around like business as usual. Guess that is why they send along this huge wrecker.

The only doubt about the Patriot being useless is whether or not all the powers are lying about their weapons systems capabilities. Since that is such a short term strategy, I have just been waiting for such a show of the Patriot system’s impotence and here it is. Anti-missile defense is the equivalent to plate armor after gun powder, for the foreseeable future (except for obsolete tech, which most countries possess).

Don’t sweat it. Taxation serves only as a pressure relief valve of sorts, the function of which is to reduce inflation. The government creates all the funds that it requires by magic. So, none of your tax dollars were actually wasted.

I think we all have to come to the realization that taxation is just an inflation dampener, if we think about it.

The inflation reduction theory of taxation is a convenient “benefit” at best, secondary to the real purpose which is to affirm the necessity of ever-present State monitoring and control of the financial system – and that little put-option of State violence and asset capture fedgove maintains in the fine print of the sacred scrolls of Our Democracy.

The threatpoint of the IRS, backed by the extra-constitutional blanket power to turn a citizen into a non-citizen, if you will.

That we might come to see taxation as a necessary part of the monetary system to dampen inflation, caused by an illegitimate power over our money supply, is a rather crafty bit of end-run on the american homo-economicus.

But again, the Economy is who we are and so we must keep the GDP god pleased with tribute of taxation and mexican dreamer anchor-genuises or she will turn us into rayciss redneck extremicstsist.

Which gets you uninvited to your sisters-in-law’s BBQ with the beautiful people on the right side of history. Which is, apparently, worse than any fate.
