MOSCOW, June 5. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces failed to achieve success in a large-scale offensive on five front sectors in the south Donetsk area, official spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said.
“The adversary launched a large-scale offensive from the morning of June 4 on five sectors of the front in the south Donetsk area by bringing into action 23rd and 31st mechanized brigades from strategic reserves of the Ukrainian armed forces with support from other military units and teams,” the spokesman said. “The adversary’s objective was to break through our defense on the most vulnerable front sector, in its opinion. The enemy failed to perform its tasks and had no success,” Konashenkov noted.
The adversary used six mechanized battalions and two tank battalions, the defense ministry’s spokesman informed. “As a result of skilled and sophisticated action of the Battlegroup East, the Ukrainian armed forces lost more than 250 persons, sixteen tanks, three mechanized infantry combat vehicles and 21 combat armored vehicles,” Konashenkov stressed.
He particularly noted that Chief of General Staff Army General Valery Gerasimov was at one of frontline command posts in this area.

As an officer in the US military, certain tests are laid before you: Do you worship Mammon, or the one true God? If the answer is the latter, say goodbye to your career. Now, that is not explicit, but it is the gist of it. In the latter days of the Iraq war V2, I saw good officers and good NCOs pushed out left and right until only the fearful remained.
Fearful of what? Making a life without the guarantees of a military paycheck and pension and healthcare. I am not boasting. I read this in the early morning from Russian news. Other stories from State Dept officials have hinted the promised Great Counter-Offensive that would deliver the satan spawn of Ukraine from Russia was going to happen in the early part of June.
Well here it is. Stopped cold in its tracts. Now, I do not consider Russia the good guys here, they are just the better guys. Both are under the thumb of Jewish heretics who serve their father Satan. So both are willing to slaughter endless Christians at their sacrificial alters of Mammon. But note that the Russians have been sending convicts, Muslims, and others to do as much of the dying as they can, so I think Putin really does have at least a soft spot for Christians, if he is not truly one himself.
The game of thrones is beyond my ken, so maybe Putin merely keeps the Jews at bay rather than bowing to their evil machinations as is so clearly the case here in the so called West.
