Did you see the most recent Indiana Jones this summer? It’s crazy how well they de-aged Harrison Ford in the movie.

The entire point of them is to take that hero worship and desire for greatness and shut it off onto a side rail line so it becomes harmless and wasted, otherwise young White men might look back at their own racial heritage and their own racial heroes and desire to emulate them. So what you’re saying is that the timing of my birth sucks. You have more faith in continuity than I do, but some sort of underwhelming counter movement will probably happen in the next 50 years. The counter movements of the past did not get the job done in the long run, and that which you know makes that something you know. A more intelligent approach with generational continuity is needed. They have no challenge on the long-time horizon.

I got sensory overload just watching this “trailer.” If there were to be a series like this it would be morally damaging to viewers.
It is worthwhile to try to turn away young people from garbage like this and present them alternatives like James Fennimore Cooper’s “Leather Stocking Tales” and other classics. Books are better by far in developing young minds but it is hard to get past the flash and excitement of the senses they get from these violent, glamorous productions.
