Okay, I’ll bite. If true, this means that close to 95% of the people who fell for the Covid pandemic narrative are no longer worried about dying? Or killing their grandmother? Do they no longer trust the science? I don’t get it. Either they know it was all a lie and they’re too cowardly to admit it, or they think it’s no longer a threat. Or is it something else? Maybe they’ve heard the stories, about, you know, (looks furtively left and right), died suddenly.
I suppose it might be an intentional lie, maybe people are still lining up for the newest booster like they did in the old days when the word Covid sent people into paroxysms of fear, but what would be the purpose? On their best day they never got past 80% jabbed and that was at the height of the mania. Now they can’t get 1/10th that number.

NEW YORK (AP) — A month after federal officials recommended new versions of COVID-19 vaccines, 7% of U.S. adults and 2% of children have gotten a shot.
One expert called the rates “abysmal.”
The numbers, presented Thursday at a meeting held by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, come from a national survey of thousands of Americans, conducted two weeks ago.
The data also indicated that nearly 40% of adults said they probably or definitely will not get the shot. A similar percentage of parents said they did not plan to vaccinate their children.
n the late summer, government health officials made the nation’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign more like the annual flu campaign.
Officials approved updated shots that have a single target, an omicron descendant named XBB.1.5. They replaced vaccines that targeted the original coronavirus strain and a much earlier omicron version. Last month, the CDC recommended the new shots for everyone 6 months and older.
The government also transitioned to a commercialized system that relied on the health-care industry — not the government — to handle the distribution of the shots. Many people who immediately went for shots said pharmacies or doctors didn’t have them.
Americans have been urged to get different iterations of the vaccines for more than 2 and 1/2 years. This year, COVID-19 deaths and hospitalizations fell to lower levels than seen in the previous three years.
Cases remain low compared with the pandemic’s early months. Even so, health officials say about 18,000 hospitalization and 1,200 deaths are still being reported each week.
One expert at the meeting, Dr. Camille Kotton of Harvard Medical School, called the numbers “abysmal” and said part of the problem may be patient confusion. She urged stepped-up public education efforts.
Dr. David Kimberlin, of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, also expressed dismay.
“The recommendations are not being heard,” he said.

It is my belief that for many of those people, it wasn’t about being scared of a hoax virus at all. It was about politics and tribal mentality. People were divided very early on during the Covid hoax. One side (mostly Liberals and many Conservatives) were willing to obey every ridiculous order and mandate, no matter how much it hurt them personally and financially. The other side (skeptics, critical thinkers) disobeyed the mandates because they didn’t trust the government to tell them the truth, and because they could see what a hoax it was through simple observation.
The people that would yell at you in the store for not wearing a mask, or who would wish you dead for not hiding in your house, were just acting on the orders of their government and media overlords. People in the media were calling the non-conformists “domestic terrorists”, and were saying that they were a danger to society. It was divide and conquer in the extreme, and it’s the government’s oldest trick.
There were millions of people who absolutely loved the Covid hoax, and who couldn’t get enough of the drama. They got off on being a government enforcer, and believed that their unquestioning loyalty and compliance made them better people.
What you say is just a variation of the ‘I was just doing my job’ argument that the Nuremberg trials overturned … and, yet, it’s an epidemic in its own right within the public.

I don’t think many people are changing their mind/teams at this point, but the “rules” keep changing and people who have already taken five of these “annual” shots in three years think they are “up to date”. When they line up for their useless flu shots they’ll agree to get both.
I think they need to portray low uptake because there are so many positive tests (people who are taking the shot also seem to still love the testing). This allows them to blame the 93% of people who aren’t “up to date” for the failure of the product.
While I appreciate that opinion it simply doesn’t make sense.
Being up to date is not a matter of personal preference, it is a determination of the experts, a result of the science, a prevention of severe illness and possibly death, a prophylactic for grandmothers. That was the narrative.
No one who got the shots the first time through ever allowed those who demured such an excuse.
You either agree with the science or you are a science denier.

I have seen several sheep from early 40s to late 70s getting their clot shots at Publix and Walgreen’s while wearing their masks much to my derision while wearing my Muppet Show Professor Bunsen and Beaker shirt that says “Because Science.” I bought three of those shirts 7 years ago when my wife found them and good god were they prescient.

My mother inlaw took the first 3-4 shots. About 6 months ago she said she and her sister (her sister is a nurse and put tons of pressure on the whole family including my wife and I to take the shots) are going to “skip this shot” and wait. LMFAO

I ran the meat birds for 16 weeks. We use open pasture and close them up at night so 1/2 of their feed is grass/seed/insect based so it takes about twice as long for them to get up to full weight, between 10-14 pounds.
