I work with Mfg plants to help them improve. Believe it or not one of the hardest jobs is to get people to change (unlearn old and learn new) after doing the same for 20 to 30 years.
Several times I encounter ‘leaders’ who just can’t change, very sad.

I read three of Tofflers’s lofty books starting with ‘Future Shock’ young and hungry for peering into the future while my mold was forming and hardening. Over my head at the time but intriguing.
When I found Peter Drucker I knew I had found a more practical mentor whose insights and wisdom I could adapt and actually use in my corporate career.
But when I wanted to lean my one man independent ladder against my own wall and I read ‘Good to Great’ as an independent Subject Matter Expert (consultant) I used it as a true north compass road map for 15 years leading to a successful retirement. The single most useful business book I had ever read.

Unlearning is a tough class.
The author tries to tell US that ‘unlearning’ is hard to come by … and, yet, over the past 15+ years, more than 2/3 of the US adult population ‘unlearned’ what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are about … and how they apply to US and the Individual Freedom and Liberty we (used to) enjoy … willingly sacrificing not only their fellow men and women and children to the various government tyrants willing to kill US if they have to or can … but also villifying their fellow men and women and children for deciding to not go along with the dangerous and ignorand masses that would persecute them to the death if possible.
