Not sure about the idea that he’s not ineligible to run … he meets all 3 requirements under the Constitution: he’s at least 35 years old; he’s a natural born citizen; and he’s lived in the United States for at least 14 years.
The naturalization process that his parents went through had nothing to do with his being a natural born citizen … he was, at the very least, an anchor baby … which made him a citizen at birth no matter his parents’ status.

I am assuming (correct me if I am wrong) that he was born in the US but before his parents were made naturalized citizens. Were his parents in the US illegally? Or did they enter legally and were thus “subject to the laws thereof”? If they were here illegally, then a good argument could be made that he was not automatically a natural born citizen. If here legally when he was born, then why wouldn’t he be a citizen?

I disagree. Many nations are these days, especially in the west, but that wasn’t always the case. There are still countries that still have integrity in leadership and / or the backbone to deal with the blackmailers and the blackmailed to give them the justice they deserve.
It wasn’t too long ago integrity meant something in the usA, and we protected our national security by expecting some sort of integrity in elected and non elected positions, and even the “chosen ones” were viewed as a likely potential national security threat, and many times proved that they were.
