I have been living the last quote for over 20 years. I used to ask my clients which they would rather have, a million dollars or a million hammers. Not once did I get the hammers as a response. I would then point out that a cheap hammer is about $20 meaning that they would turn down $20 million in value that would increase with inflation for a (depreciating in inflationary times) $1 million fiat trash. Fiat is only a standardization of barter that you must exchange for something that will hold it’s value (a tool).
It is true, most people can’t see the forest through the trees.
