Ben predicts here a 7.0 earthquake or above will hit earth a couple days before the earthquake hit Taiwan. It was caused by the massive Coronal hole facing earth at the time. My wife is still in Taiwan, and she was very shook up, and she will be coming home a week or two early.
If we look at the Dutchsinse maps with the red arrows of earthquake energy flow along the plate under North America , as it moves up the Appalachians it follows very close to the path of the projected solar eclipse. No idea if that means something or not. He just concluded a live update on the NJ quake and stated this energy should move Northeast to Newfoundland , Greenland and out to sea. He suggests the next East coast action will be in South Carolina in next 7-8 days.

Someone on the twits said it was shallow, which could mean it was not a naturally occurring quake. Just sayin….😉

I note that the eclipse hasn’t happened, so it can’t be cause. There is no difference in gravitational effect today then for any other time the moon has been at this point in its cycle. Other than the visual spectacle there is nothing special about the moon passing in front of the sun instead of just to one side of it, which is what it does for most of the Earth during an eclipse anyway.
If you live in Brazil and didn’t watch the news you’d never know there was an eclipse, because, ya know, there wouldn’t be one.

Easy answer , YES !
Sun & moon movements create combined or opposing forces increasing gravitational forces on the earths tectonic plates add to that an increasing tidal activity of oceans 3/4 of the earths surface !
That’s a lot of weight affected by the forces exerted !
Earthquakes and volcanic action and extreme high or low tides are all possible !

In the end if no serious issues take place the worry warts will breath a sigh of relief !
