Ukraine remains in focus although Russia has carried out its largest-ever attacks against Ukraine’s energy grid, it’s still officially fighting a Special Military Operation that voluntarily limits its military actions instead of an all-out war according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov

The Kremlin’s Unprecedented Description of the Ukraine Conflict as a “War & What It Means.”  This should be seen as the Kremlin’s clearest signal yet that, “It will respond to the scenario of a conventional Western intervention by striking those opposing forces in line with the international laws governing this form of conflict”, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the ‘Argumenti I Fakty’ newspaper that “We are at war. Yes, it began as a special military operation, but as soon as this group was formed there, when the collective West became a participant on the side of Ukraine, for us it already became a war.” This is unprecedented because national security legislation prohibits the use of the word “war”, which is regarded as a mischaracterisation of how Russia is conducting what it refers to as a ‘Special Military Operation’ (SMO).

 

The distinction is important, regardless of whatever Western commentators claim, since a special operation is a voluntarily limited military action whereas a war is only restricted by the international laws governing it (and only then if they’re abided by or externally enforced).

 

Additionally, fighting what’s legally designated by the state as a war instead of a special operation pressures the authorities to respond accordingly to the West’s participation in this conflict, thus heightening the risk of escalation.  Peskov’s rhetorical shift came as France prepares to conventionally intervene in the NATO-Russian proxy war in Ukraine, which German Chancellor Olaf Scholz inadvertently revealed is already an undeclared but limited hot one that’s thus far remained manageable due to each side abiding by unofficial “rules”.

By formalising and then expanding the presence of French troops in the battlespace, however, President Emmanuel Macron risks exacerbating the NATO-Russian security dilemma to uncontrollable proportions. Peskov’s unprecedented description of the Ukrainian conflict as a “war” should therefore be seen as the Kremlin’s clearest signal yet that it’ll respond to the scenario of a conventional Western intervention by striking those opposing forces in line with the international laws governing this form of conflict. The reason behind publicly conveying this intent is to prompt France and other states like the UK, Poland, and the Baltic States that might also be contemplating a conventional intervention to rethink their plans.

Their decision-makers and societies now know how Russia would respond to this provocation, and that could lead to an uncontrollable cycle of escalations that culminate in WW3 by miscalculation. To be clear, Russia would have the legal and moral right to strike those opposing forces that enter the battlespace, so the responsibility for setting this dangerous sequence of events into motion rests entirely on the West’s shoulders.

The only reason why that bloc is considering this is that it fears the possibly impending Russian breakthrough, which the Ukrainian Intelligence Committee recently warned might materialise by this summer, could deal them a strategic defeat that discredits their politicians at home and abroad. They hyped the world up to expect Russia’s strategic defeat during last summer’s counteroffensive, but that manoeuvre failed, thus reshaping the conflict’s dynamics by placing Kyiv back on the defensive.

Instead of accepting a full strategic defeat, some in the West now want to “escalate to de-escalate” by launching a conventional intervention that would either pre-empt a Russian breakthrough or immediately respond to it, which could then enable them to influence the endgame.

In particular, they want to preserve their envisaged “sphere of influence” in Ukraine via its asymmetrical partition between NATO and Russia, not to mention reduce the size of Moscow’s hoped-for buffer zone in that country.

The Kremlin wants to deter them from doing so, which explains its spokesman’s unprecedented rhetorical shift that came amidst the largest-ever attack against Ukraine’s energy grid, with these intertwined diplomatic-military moves signalling what would happen to NATO troops if they get involved.

Maintaining their undeclared but limited hot war is much more manageable than Russia being forced to respond to a conventional NATO intervention that it rightly fears could be the start of a larger invasion.

The international laws governing war would therefore be applied to stop this threat in its tracks, with the consequence that the West is pressured to retaliate in at least a tit-for-tat fashion so as not to “lose face” at home and abroad, especially after its uniformed soldiers are killed.

Although Russia has carried out its largest-ever attacks against Ukraine’s energy grid, it’s still officially fighting a special operation that voluntarily limits its military actions instead of an all-out war according to Peskov.

He clarified shortly after his interview was released that “This is a special operation de jure, but de facto for us, it turned into a war after the collective West increasingly increased the level of its involvement in the conflict.” This served to show that Russia continues to restrain itself, which is meant to prevent its opponents from commencing a conventional intervention on the false pretext that Russia has supposedly already removed all such restraints after Peskov described the conflict as a “war”.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed shock at how Macron’s rhetoric catalysed this latest “spiral of war” as he phrased it, which “seemed absurd and unthinkable just two months ago.” In his words, he doesn’t have the influence required to stop it or help them manage this latest escalation. The Pope and/or India are the only players with the ability to mediate between the warring parties to that end due to their neutral reputations and the trust that they enjoy from all sides.

China is also neutral just like those two, but it’s not trusted by the West, whose American leader is already preparing to “Pivot (back) to Asia” to contain the People’s Republic when the Ukrainian Conflict inevitably ends. It therefore falls on the Pope and/or India to diplomatically intervene, if the warring parties agree, to which they appear somewhat receptive when it comes to the second after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Presidents Putin and Zelensky the other week.

Furthermore, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba is expected to visit India sometime next week on the first such trip by one of his country’s top officials since the special operation began, and this could help India get the diplomatic ball rolling if the political will exists on Kyiv’s side to do so. Peace talks might not resume anytime soon, but Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar could still position himself as a possible mediator between the West/Ukraine and Russia.

He’s one of the world’s most experienced diplomats so he’ll certainly be able to handle this task if requested, in which case his involvement could help manage this latest escalation by helping the warring parties get a clearer idea of each side’s red lines and how they’ll react in various scenarios. The importance of doing so is to decrease the risk of WW3 by miscalculation if a NATO member or group thereof conventionally intervenes in Ukraine after the warning that Russia has conveyed.

Returning to Peskov’s rhetorical shift, the best that it could therefore do is prompt the West to back off from its plans, after which the warring parties could rely on Indian mediation to manage this latest phase of their security dilemma.

If the West misinterprets his words as a “bluff” and still goes through with what Macron talked about, especially without India mediating to share each side’s red lines and how they’ll react in various scenarios, then the risk of WW3 by miscalculation will be higher than ever. Sources

MOB RULE IN LONDON – It’s been hard to watch the effects of forced diversity, multiculturalism, and mass immigration on the tiny island of Great Britain, the most densely populated nation in Europe.  In Britain today, every day feels like an episode of “Survivor” as people, who are crammed in like sardines, have been made to fear just about everything for the last four years and fear kills, as any psychologist will tell you!

Recently, protests against the Gaza genocide have exposed the fragility of the British culture and nation as a whole which is on the verge of capsizing from the oppressive weight of mass immigration and cultural divides.

Well-known British YouTuber Paul Joseph Watson has been covering events in London, addressing ‘Fishy’ Rishi’s remarks that his country is descending into “mob rule” and that the situation is grave. Mob Rule versus Survival of the West: Why Americans should be watching Britain.  

Another British YouTuber who’s been exposing the ongoing cancel culture wars is Katie Hopkins. In a video titled, “How cancel culture (evisceration) REALLY works,” Ms. Hopkins outlines what she believes is “currently being done to GB News by those that want to see it done away with.” She also claims that “Ofcom is the weapon wielded in a war of attrition against GB News.”

And she should know.  The controversial celebrity, journalist, and comedian has done her share of shocking the public and angering many over these last many years, but she’s also become quite the conservative hero.

THOUGHT FOR WEEK – Is the BBC’s description of Anglo/Saxons fair?

According to a BBC staffer, who is paid with BBC license tax money collected from British taxpayers, ‘white people’ are a “barbaric bloodthirsty rapacious murderous genocidal thieving parasitical deviant breed” who disturb the natural order of the planet.”

 

The only thing wrong about this description of ‘white people’ is that I think she is referring to Anglo/Saxons.  I am a ‘white person’ but I am of Viking heritage and therefore have fought these Anglo/Saxon pugilists for centuries.

“Ms. Queva’s posts were made under the name of Dawn Las Quevas-Allen on Facebook, but it has the same profile picture as her regular profile, and trade magazine ‘Deadline’ reports that her identity has been confirmed,” reports the Telegraph.

Via Modernity: Queva’s comments are made all the more remarkable by a story highlighted earlier in the week.  BBC staff are being ordered not to hire anyone who refuses to embrace ‘diversity’ indoctrination, meaning candidates who are “dismissive” of diversity and inclusion are not being considered for roles at the British broadcaster.

GEOPOLITICS – 2024 – NATO TROOPS ARE ON THE GROUND IN UKRAINE

In only a couple of weeks, American and German leaks placed US troops in Ukraine, Germany placed France and Britain in Ukraine, the British confirmed they were in Ukraine, Poland confirmed that NATO troops were in Ukraine, and France suggested that, if they were not, perhaps they should be. What is the motivation behind this sudden chorus of confessions?  There are at least four, and probably more, speculative possibilities:

  • The least scary is, recognising that the West has lost the war in Ukraine, NATO is trying to establish the case that they did everything they could: even putting troops on the ground.
  • The second is that the leaks and revelations are meant to pressure the United States and some European countries to send more financial aid and weapons packages to Ukraine
  • The third is that the West is trying to create a perception in Russia of strategic ambiguity
  • The scariest possibility is that the West is serious, both about NATO troops already being in Ukraine, and about the possibility of sending more not being ruled out.

This is a dangerous and difficult-to-calculate risk. How many troops could be sent before triggering a Russian response?  Hopefully, the United States, Germany, and others, including Spain, Greece, and Slovakia are sincere in their insistence that no (more?) NATO troops will be sent to Ukraine.  Sources

THE TRAGEDY OF GAZA IS BEING PERPETUATED BY BRITAIN’S BLOB

This month has repeatedly shown how HMG, which bears massive historical responsibility for the present-day situation of the Palestinians, has been working hard to conceal its complicity in the Gaza genocide.  After revealing that Israeli military planes have been landing in Britain since October 7, Declassified’s chief investigator Matt Kennard exposed how the government is refusing to disclose what these jets were carrying on board.

 

Matt also showed that HMG is refusing to say if Israeli bombers have been using Britain’s base on Cyprus, following reports that Israel’s F-35s have access to RAF Akrotiri. It could not get more serious than this: Israel is potentially using a British colonial outpost to facilitate war crimes in Gaza, and the Brits don’t know about it.

In another disturbing case, Matt wrote about how HMG is refusing to rule out whether Israel bombed a British medical facility in Gaza with UK-supplied weaponry. Four British doctors, alongside medical staff and a bodyguard, were injured in the attack. Richard Burgon MP has now called for the government to launch an investigation into the matter, and 135 MPs plus some Lords have called on the government to suspend arms sales to Israel.

One of the British ministers, obscuring the government’s role in this genocide, is Andrew Mitchell.  Declassified’s editor, Mark Curtis, published a detailed profile of Mitchell, noting how he has consistently defended and apologised for Israel’s war on Gaza. And what is Labour Party leader Keir Starmer’s role in all of this?

We asked the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for Starmer’s emails from when, as Director of Public Prosecutions, he blocked the arrest of former Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni over alleged war crimes. The CPS sent back several heavily redacted files, raising serious questions about Starmer’s part in shielding an Israeli official from prosecution under universal jurisdiction legislation. It is precisely this kind of immunity that has emboldened Israeli officials to carry out further war crimes in recent months.  Source

G77 plus China: Majority Rule Will Come.  Representing 80% of the world’s population, the Group of 77 plus the People’s Republic of China, held its summit in Havana, Cuba in mid-September last year.  The increasing exploitation of the working class and oppressed peoples inside the imperialist Western countries has prompted strikes and mass rebellions.

To maintain the pseudo-capitalist system in Western Europe and North America, the repressive apparatus of governments must rely on the security forces and legislative structures that provide legal cover for the continuing expropriation of wealth from the majority of the populace.

Over the years, in France, Britain, and the USA, millions of workers engaged in industrial actions and protests aimed at regaining their lost income and overall living standards sacrificed to the financial institutions, service, and production facilities since the 2008-9 Great Recession.

These important alliances, such as BRICS and the G77+China, are indicating that the African continent will take its proper leading role in the struggle against Western hegemony.  Neo-colonialism is the modern-day system of imperialist domination throughout Africa and other geopolitical regions of the Global South. INFLATION MONITOR

Almost everyone agrees Britain needs to build more houses, but this has been a perennial problem for decades.  A string of governments have pledged to increase supply but, as usual, they failed. They haven’t come close to delivering the 340,000 new homes needed every year.  An oligopoly of property developers, self-interested NIMBYs, and overly restrictive planning regulations, allows only a trickle of new houses onto the market. Artificially constrained supply helps keep prices high, exasperating young people excluded from owning a home.

 

Meanwhile, the housing market is bouncing back as the latest Halifax house price index shows prices 2.5% higher than a year ago, but that means house prices are still falling in real terms.  These researchers have gone so far as to say the housing crisis is the root cause behind most of the problems plaguing developed economies, including low productivity growth, inequality, and falling fertility rates: The housing theory of everything.  Either way, high house prices remain a national obsession, the biggest asset class, and an Achilles heel.

SURVIVAL MONITOR –  What Happens When There’s Nobody Left to Save Us?

Passively waiting for central powers to “save us” from their excesses is not a solution.  So says CHS – “It’s no exaggeration to say that our way of life depends on somebody somewhere saving us from the excesses that are the bedrock of our way of life. What excesses, you ask? There are none.”

This is true in one sense: all the excesses have been normalised by previous “saves”: whenever the bedrock excesses threaten to collapse under their own weight, central banks rush in to save us from the excesses they created in the first place.  Make no mistake, time is short to get away from dependency on our toxic global financial system which has to fail in the end IMHO.  I will be offering a guide on how to do this next Saturday in Part 2.

I have a good friend from Bulgaria that was at one time looking to emigrate to canukistan. It was during an upcoming election here that he asked if I would send the party plaforms of the ndp, liberals and conservative parties.

The response I got back was that the ndp’s platform was nearly word for word of the communist party platform in Bulgaria. The liberals was merely a tossed word salad of the same and the conservative was a watered down version.

So I was told that the govt wanted $10K per head because he and his wife were professionals and that we were fast tracking towards everything they fled. So they would not emigrate by jumping out of the pan and into the fire. And, they recently moved back to Bulgaria for more freedom.

Also well wishes and told to enjoy the full version of communist rule, soon to be fully installed.

The terrorist attacks amounted to a act of war against Russia. Russia is a very law oriented government, and unlike the US and Europe, follows its own laws.
Russia has declared that war now exists between Russia, and Ukraine, but that does not mean it is going to change the slow grinding tactics that have been working so well for it so far.
This war is not just against Ukraine, but against the entire Collective West, and the actions of the Collective West are bringing themselves down to a much larger extent that anything Russia is doing. The longer Putin can drag this war out, the more damage the Collective West does to itself.
Europe is bankrupting itself, by deceiving itself into believing it can have a functioning economy without cheap energy. The US is bankrupting itself by believing it can print ever increasing amounts of money, debase its currency, and use that money to finance war and international corruption.
Israel now sees its financial and military supporters are imploding, and believes time is growing short for it to fulfil its insane religious prophesy of ruling the world by bringing on Armageddon.
Many people over think the fall of Rome. They go into great detail about all the things Rome did to facilitate its downfall, when it all boiled down one thing. The fact that in the end, Rome was led by leaders who were insane.
Today, the Collective West has the exact same problem. Only with nuclear weapons…..

The Anglo-Saxons are Teutons (Germanic) by tribe but the Scandinavians are pure Nordic – very different. “According to Rosenberg, the Nordic race had evolved in a now-lost landmass off the coast of Europe (perhaps the mythical Atlantis), migrated through northern Europe, and expanded further south to Iran and India where it founded the Aryan cultures of Zoroastrianism and Hinduism.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_Age

Just out of curiosity, why would the old English remember Beowulf if they weren’t linked to Scandinavians?

Yes, the English were invaded by the Danes and our North East coast remained dominated by the Danelaw, and of course, we intermixed, but our genes remained our heritage as is always the case.
