I used the lyrics from this song in one of my early Fourth Turning articles back in 2009. Five For Fighting is just one dude – John Ondrasik, a fanatic hockey fan. One of John Ondrasik’s friends read the article and sent it to John. He emailed me and told me the article really connected with him and he’d like to meet me. He lives in Los Angeles and told me to let him know the next time I got to LA and we’d get some coffee. I haven’t been to LA since 2003, so we never got a chance to meet.
I was reminded of this song this morning as Avalon kept playing it over and over for my youngest son, who turned 15 today.
