GENEVA, RUSSIA — President Joe Biden has announced to the world that talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin have been a massive success.

“We had a real breakthrough, me and ol’ Putin,” said Biden triumphantly. “I stared him down and said, ‘Look pal, here’s the deal: You get whatever you want, but my son WILL get a cushy job over on the Russian pipeline.’”

All Is Hype for the Biden-Putin Summit

All Is Hype for the Biden-Putin Summit

For the G7 meeting — of the heads of government of seven of the world’s 10 largest economies — and the gatherings this week of NATO and the European Union in Brussels appear designed more to send messages than to portend action. What are those messages?

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce.

Karl Marx’s comment came to mind as President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Boris Johnson sought to equate their tete-a-tete at the G7 confab in Cornwall, England, to the Atlantic Charter conference of 80 years ago.

Those were historic days, to which these days cannot compare.

Putin Denies “Never-Ending Farcical” Cyberattack Claims, Calls NATO Obsolete “Cold War Relic”

On Monday NBC released its full sit-down interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was initially previewed Friday, just days before Wednesday’s much anticipated bilateral summit with President Joe Biden. It was the first interview Putin has given to a US network in nearly three years.

It’s becoming farcical,” Putin questioned, adding, “We have been accused of all kinds of things, election interference, cyberattacks and so on and so forth, and not once, not one time, did they bother to produce any kind of evidence or proof.” Biden is expected to press his Russian counterpart during Wednesday’s summit.

The Coming Biden/Putin Train-Wreck Summit

Guest Post by Ron Paul

I have my doubts whether the Putin-Biden summit in Geneva will take place later this month, but even if somehow it is pulled off, recent Biden Administration blunders mean the chance anything of substance will be achieved is virtually nil.

The Biden Administration was supposed to signal a return of the “adults” to the room. No more bully Trump telling NATO it’s useless, ripping up international climate treaties, and threatening to remove troops from the Middle East and beyond. US foreign policy would again flourish under the steady, practiced hands of the experts.
