WHY ARE THEY HUNGRY?

When I see statistics like this, I wonder why? Why don’t they have agriculture? Why don’t they have a functioning economy? Do they lack natural resources? Do they lack the intelligence to succeed? Are they run by dictators who abscond with all the wealth?

Charity will never work. They need a functioning economy that leads to investment, which leads to wealth creation, which will lead to an alleviation of hunger.

Burundi, Eritrea and Timor-Leste scored worst in the 2014 Global Hunger Index. The index, compiled by the International Food Policy Research Institute measures hunger-related problems in a society. The GHI score is the unweighted average of three indicators: The percentage of the population that is undernourished, the percentage of under 5 year-olds that are underweight and the under-5 mortality rate. In Burundi for example, 67.3% of the population is undernourished, 29.1% of children under five are underweight and the under-five mortality rate is 10.4%. That sums up to 106.8% and the GHI score is 106.8 divided by three: 35.6.

WHITE PEOPLE invaded all those countries at some point, subdued them, raped their women, and stole their resources. Especially that nasty fellow, George Washington. He started all this.

It all has to do with culture and intelligence. So that’s why they have what they have. I don’t feel sorry for them. My main concern is that the gubmint tries to import them into the US. Too damn many kids, no initiative to better themselves – hell they could farm the way it was done in the 1800’s and they’d be better off.

It doesn’t help that their countries are run by Kleptocrats and crazy dictators.

PS Take a look at Puerto Rico – the labor participation rate has always been around 40%. They just don’t care to work. Another marginal country looking for a bailout.

Tribalism keeps them in poverty.

Please note, the following conjecture is arm chair, and not to be taken seriously:

Historically tribalism was only overcome through nationalism, or genocide, frequently both.

Modern theorists like to imagine that their is a peaceful way for these areas to rise up to first world levels, but humanity really isn’t all that peaceful. Revenge killings and genuine tribal hatred stirs deep in these people.

Sick as it sounds, they probably need to go through the steps the rest of us did on our way to being modern. Tribalism->Feudalism->Nationalism/Dictatorship->Nationalism/Democracy

You can replace “Dictatorship” with “Monarchy” for some cases, for example the UK.

The problem these countries face is that the bleeding hearts of the world will never sit back and watch this progression. They will bleed the advanced countries dry* trying to force the world to fit their mold, trying to cram hundreds of years worth of political advancements down the throats of people with 1st century ideals and 20th century weapons.

Good fuckin’ luck with that.

In answer to your questions, just ask yourself “What is the common denominator?”

Never said the answer would be nice. Or the problem fixable. I just said you’d get an answer.

@Billy: “just ask yourself “What is the common denominator?”

The lowest common denominator = country filled with porch monkeys – except they don’t even have a porch, or a sofa!

@Chemist: ” trying to cram hundreds of years worth of political advancements down the throats of people with 1st century ideals and 20th century weapons”

1st century? Hell the Egyptians did better than this in 3000 BC.

@ Chemist

Tribalism? Really?

Explain Haiti then. The French freed every slave on Haiti at the same time. In an overwhelming fit of gratitude, the negroes prompty slaughtered and genocided every white person on the island out of existence… except some white women. They were spared if they agreed to breed themselves out of existence… That was 200+ years ago.

Haiti, under French control, run by the French, was the jewel of the Caribbean. The Haitians got a complete, going concern in one shot. It’s not like they didn’t know how to work and maintain it – they had been doing the grunt labor for years. All they had to do was maintain it…

Now look at it. A shithole even before the Erfquake hit. Billions in cash and logistics poured in. Still a shithole.

As far as the other African’t nations on the list? Well, I wouldn’t trust any of them with scrubbing shitters for a living, they’re that fucking dumb. And knowing how stupid, backwards, corrupt and superstitious these people are, we actually expect them to feed themselves? You know, plan ahead, grow crops, animal husbandry, etc?

Feeding swarms of sub-60-IQ retards only gets you even greater swarms of sub-60-IQ retards…

These are the same retarded fuckers who steal gasoline by torchlight…

Seriously. They knock a hole in a gas pipeline at night, and swarms of locals show up with buckets and shit to steal the gasoline pouring out…

Until some ultra-stupid fucker shows up with a lit torch so they can better see what they’re doing…

I am not making any of this up… hundreds are killed – immolated – every year doing this shit.

Yeah. They really are that fucking stupid…

Story related to me awhile back…

Bunch of do-gooder libtarded whites fly to African’t with the intention of “uplifting” dems po ole kneegrows. They brought with them breed stock so the locals could breed their own animals. Also seeds, so they could grow crops. They brought hand tools – nothing fancy, shovels, hoes, rakes, shit like that so they could farm. They brought well-digging equipment so to provide the locals with a good source of potable water. More…

They gave the animals to the African locals, dug them a well, showed them how to plant crops, taught them about animal husbandry, how to milk goats, etc..

Feeling all smug and self-satisfied, away the libtards flew.

One year later, they came back to check on how their new friends were doing.

The African’ts had eaten all the seed corn. They had killed their breed stock and eaten them, too. They had sold all the tools and equipment off and were using their well as an open pit latrine. Dysentery was rampant, and they were starving to death… again…

These people are incapable of understanding you should not shit in your only fresh water supply. They are baffled by things like a drugstore thermometer. And the OP is asking “why are they hungry?”….

They fail so hard, even Spiderman facepalmed…

It’s not only Africans. Many of our new arrivals through Mexico are baffled by indoor plumbing and the operation of a turlet. They can’t read(English or Spanish), can’t write, are disease-ridden, lazy, third-world assholes. Yet our “president” proclaims that these children are our onliest hope for da future. Africa matters, Haiti matters, South Americans matter but rock-solid Americans of whatever race and ethnic background are shit in the road.

I have only known a few African born (real African) folks and they were surprisingly bright and spoke the kings English to perfection. One was my client and her two children, a wonderful person who spoke four languages and taught French in a snobby private school. She was not the grasshut African that you would equate with being African. Perhaps the people in the chart should reclassify themselves as African-American an apply for an EBT card. UNCLE SUGAR won’t turn them down…we feed the world.

Timor-Leste is in SE Asia and populated by Roman Catholic practicing Polynesians. It was a typical shitty Portuguese colony.

Indonesia invaded, destroyed the infrastructure and occupied the country A conflict which lasted 25 years.

@Billy – Still tribalism imo. They went from being slaves to being their own people. Even with the example of the French to strive towards* they ended up at the tribal level.

*say what you want about the French, they are still better off than most of the continent of Africa.

From what I’ve seen there are common denominators and you‘ll see them in both rich and poor countries.

The Poor are less well educated. Those in a society that value and obtain an education rise above the others.

The poor less educated produce more children than the more educated who are busy being productive, working to make a living. Go to the poorest sections of any country and you’ll be struck by the large numbers of children.

Also the poor start having children at a far younger age than the more educated and more wealthy in any society. It’s very common for a young girl that has no plan or drive to improve her condition will look to “love and affection” for gratification and comfort in an otherwise miserable life. Once burdened with caring for children, then working to make a living becomes many times harder.

The poor don’t think about the future, their entire focus in on surviving or gratification today. They have no concept of the purpose of saving. Their thought process is something like “why save to spend tomorrow when I can spend it today?” “Spend tomorrow, spend today, what’s the difference?” There are people in the US that think this way and yes they are poor.

I hired a couple fresh off the boat Vietnamese once. We noticed dirt footprints on the toilet seats. Come to find out, the dumb bastards did not know how to use a crapper – they would stand on the seat to shit. They also did not know to flush the toilet paper after use.

It was all they knew. It was disgusting to say the least. Tens of thousands of Americans died “protecting” those bastards. Isn’t that special?

One company I worked at had a large manufacturing building next to the engineering building where I worked. I rarely went into the mfg. Bldg., but one time I was there and went into the men’s room. What a shock! Plastered all over the walls were these pictorial instructions on how to use and how NOT to use the toilets. And the ‘how not to pictures’ showed a person with their feet on top of the toilet seat in a squatting position. I just turned around and went back to my building.

And yes the workers were predominantly Vietnamese.

Calling a cultural spade a cultural spade is NOT racism. Not all cultures were created equal and not all imported cultures are a good fit with the pre-existing cultures already in place. Just ask the Native Americans.

We are allowed to desire and agree upon cultural norms – to want to see those norms exemplified and promoted in our communities – without it becoming a racial issue.

Google up the phrase “weaponized anthropology” and see the “divide and conquer” taken to new heights.

I do believe that many Americans actually believed that European, middle class values – the prevailing culture once we destroyed the indigenous ones – would be adopted across the board and they are are now struggling with what is in essence a “ghetto culture” – an antithesis of middle class.

I am fortunate to work with a large group of middle class Americans who happen to be black. Don’t think for a minute they are not extremely conflicted and struggling with what is going on in their communities. IMO, they are keenly aware that the “generosity” of guilt is wearing out fast and they are looking around close to home and are not at all happy with what they see.

My two cents.

Largely correct. Major factor in black Africa. And it can get ugly very quickly. Just ask the Hutus and Tutsis of Rwanda. Or the Ibos of Nigeria.

Usually they’ve been able to feed themselves quite well and do so without the backbreaking labor of agricultural societies. But, then gov. (meaning the corrupt dictator) sells the land their ancestors have not moved from in centuries and then are forced to move onto degraded land left over from previous resource extraction.

On the other hand, the population of Africa is growing rapidly, even in areas the pharmaceutical companies say have been devastated by AIDS for 20+ years. “AIDS” in Africa means the same communicable diseases that have killed off your ancestors in Africa for generations (TB, malaria, etc.). Better to send super expensive “life saving” AIDS drugs manufactured by American companies than address the problems with far less money through sanitation, basic medical care, etc.
