Good grief. Is this Leonard Cohen Appreciation Week? I damn near fell asleep listening to that song. Here, this oldie ought to wake you up and set your toes a tappin’. Note the conservative dress used by the band. Heh.
So an almost atheist jew writes a beautiful song about boning and people think it’s a religious song. I need to check with bb on this, but I think God may turn out to be pissed.

I know Leonard Cohen wrote this song but there is an artist out there that does a version of this song so beautiful that it sends shivers down my spine every time I listen to it. Check out Jeff Buckley’s version.

@TC… Jeff Buckley’s version is the first I ever heard. I agree it is wonderful, but KD Lang’s tribute a few years ago was powerful. Especially considering I can’t stand to watch her.
However, my favorite is this one:

Why would anyone bookmark a link to this? Well, so I can share another lovely version of the song complete with piano. I bought the sheet music to see if I can manage this for our Hootenany we are planning this fall to celebrate being in the suburbs of the sticks with everything we need in place.

Well, I read the signs wrong. 11/11/17 appears to be a line of what should have been, or could have been, strong towers.

We decided, by the way, to hold our celebration in a private way. We have too many bloodsucking leeches swimming in the local sewers. It is time to cull the chaff.
I guess I am about ready. A bit skeered. I haven’t fought a battle in a while, but I know how it is done.
