I’ve given some thought to how I would advise Trump today. Two words: Be Likeable.
Most Americans are too goddamned stoopid, or have much much too short of an attention span to be bothered with policy details. And you know what the Greatest Sin is in America these days? Being boring.
If at the end of the speech people’s take away is “Hey, he ain’t so bad. I like that guy.” — then Donald will have the election all sewn up.
Now, you might say, “Well, all Hillary needs to do is the same thing.”. Sure, and the only thing keeping frogs from flying are a pair of wings. You see, Hillary CAN’T be likeable to a vast majority of Americans. There isn’t an ounce of femininity, softness, humor, beauty, gentleness, calmness, class, or graciousness about her. She is ugly, old, withered, and angry. There is no record of anyone ever meeting Hillary and walking away saying, “Hey, I like her!”. None. Trust me on that.
So, Donald be like this guy!! You know the REAL reason why so many people liked Ronald Reagan? Because he was likeable!

Why the heck should I care any more than I did the other however many days it’s been going on? I haven’t paid it any more attention than I do any other reality show. That is to say none, as I don’t own a television set and haven’t even seen anything on one for a number of years now. I haven’t seen or heard a single annoying campaign ad or the like, thankfully, either.
Seriously, I think people are giving this horrible show (speaking of the entire campaign from both wings of the same bird) way too much attention. Turn off the tube, get out and enjoy your day. Do not legitimize this nonsense.
That said, I really feel like I’m shouting into the wind. People just don’t seem to be able to distance themselves from the matrix.
Sometimes people are out during the day; sometimes it is volunteer work that is hot, humid, sweaty and exhausting. And being older makes it that much more difficult.
So, it is then a pleasure to sit down and watch special events on the tube (rare occasions), like 2nite.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Trump would be a great president and I hope it happens. I’m with FM though and fear for his safety if he gets too far. Besides that, just look at the before and after pics of our recent presidents and you can see the results of unbelievable stress.
Trump is constantly accused of being a selfish asshole and I see him behaving as anything but that. My comment was intended to get people to come to that conclusion by showing what a truly selfish asshole would do. He could afford to have Taylor Swift sing bedtime lullabies to him every night while Elton John tickles his nipples with a dodo feather. Instead he is choosing to take on the 535 shysters we need to sort out next and if he survives through his inauguration, we need to have his back on this every election cycle.

I don’t know if you’re faint of heart or not. We have hens as well, and my wife is definitely not a country girl. At her direction, I constructed a Lexan box with a hinged lid into which we can pipe helium or argon. When one of our hens gets terminally ill, we put her in the box and turn on the gas.
