ALERT: Legislation Details: Senate to Ban Hundreds of Semiautomatic Rifles, Handguns, Shotguns, Magazines; Includes Fingerprint Registration Requirements

Mac Slavo and Ed Thomas December 27th, 2012 www.SHTFplan.com

For anyone who may have thought Senator Feinstein and her colleagues in Congress were bluffing about coming firearms legislation that would restrict the sale, transfer and possession of certain firearms, think again.

A summary of the proposed legislation has been made available, and it’s a whopper.

Among outright banning 120 ‘assault’ related firearms (such as AR-15′s and AK-47′s), the bill will also target any weapon that utilizes a “detachable magazine,” as well as any magazine with a capacity of over ten rounds, which would include semi-automatic handguns and shotguns.

Moreover, if you already own a firearm or modification that ends up on the ban list, you will be required under Federal law to register that gun, complete with a background check, fingerprinting and local law enforcement verification.

Those who have recently purchased firearms that would fall under the ban may soon find Federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) at their door looking to confiscate ‘illegal’ weapons or engage in home searches for illegal accessories like ‘high capacity’ magazines (over 10 rounds), flash suppressors, pistol grips, and bullet buttons (a feature designed to circumvent ‘fixed’ magazine laws in states like California).

The following is a summary of the proposed Assault Weapons Legislation:

Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:

  • 120 specifically-named firearms
  • Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one military characteristic
  • Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds

Strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and various state bans by:

  • Moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test
  • Eliminating the easy-to-remove bayonet mounts and flash suppressors from the characteristics test
  • Banning firearms with “thumbhole stocks” and “bullet buttons” to address attempts to “work around” prior bans
  • Bans large-capacity ammunition feeding devices capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.

Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by:

  • Grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment
  • Exempting over 900 specifically-named weapons used for hunting or sporting purposes and
  • Exempting antique, manually-operated, and permanently disabled weapons

Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:

  • Background check of owner and any transferee;
  • Type and serial number of the firearm;
  • Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
  • Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
  • Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration

Video via The Daily Sheeple

Ammunition, namely the purchase of bulk ammunition, has not been mentioned in the legislation summary. However, previous reports indicate that the purchase of large amounts of ammunition through the internet and directly from dealers may also be in Congress’ sights.

Are Americans prepared to give up their guns?

In Los Angeles, where millions of residents depend on government support to feed their families and receive healthcare, hundreds of cars lined up for hours for a local buy-back program that promised to exchange guns for $100 grocery gift cards. Thousands of handguns, rifles, and antique firearms were turned in – for food.

The lock-down is coming and it’s going to start when Congress reconvenes on January 3, 2013.

Many Americans, who have no concept of why the Second Amendment exists in the first place, will accept it without protest.

Ed Thomas of www.TheDailySheeple.com contributed to this report.

Thought we would have more time to prepare. Do these idiots realize that there are 130 MILLION of us? OK sure only 2% are going to care. That is still a lot of armed resistance.

Sure would like to see some States chime in on this. We need just one State like Texas to say ” Not going to happen in our republic “

I live in a country with very restrictive gun laws and a gov very similar to that of the US: so-called “progressive” assholes, self-righteous and corrupt, who secretly do the bidding of the banking oligarchs who fund the UN and all the other crap. I live in a rural area that in many ways (thank God!) is like living in a separate country. The police chief explained to me that yes, it would be a complicated and time-consuming and expensive process to get one of the few permitted firearms and then ammunition for it. “I don’t know,” he said. “Lots of people have illegal guns. Say you had one: well, if you had a problem with a robber, well, you kill him, drag the corpse over to the irrigation ditch on the other side of your fence, call us up and tell us you heard shots, just ditch the illegal gun, I mean, something like that could happen, but of course you wouldn’t do that.” I assured him that certainly I would not, because even if I were that sort of person, it would be hard for me to get ammo. “Oh, you couldn’t, not without a permit. You’d have to buy it from Mario up at the plaza, if the gossip about him is true. We’ve never checked.” I thanked him for the chat, pondered, and somehow I feel safer now than I would if I had a legal firearm, duly registered. I can use pretty strong language when upset!

Well this is what Feinstein wants but what she gets is going to be up to us.

First of all I will not comply with this law. I register my cars not because I think it is any business of the government what kind of cars I choose to own but because I do have to drive them on the public roads and without a license plate and registration I can be arrested. If that what the US government has in mind for me if I choose to keep a firearm IN MY HOME for my own use and protection? Are they going to turn me into a criminal? Send a bunch of BATF public servants to murder me like they did the Branch Davidians over some trivial violation of a gun law? I bought my rifle years ago and I haven’t modified it or done anything to it. It was a legal weapon then I have committed no crime with it and I’d just as soon not have the US government know what and how many firearms I have. Its none of their goddamned business.

We are going to have to mobilize to stop this. Get voter registration forms and make sure every person you know is registered to vote. Fill them out and turn them into the registrar of voters. Photocopy them and send the copy to your Senator and Congressmans office. FAX IT so they see it.

Now that I think a little more about it, I hope they do pass this sort of bullshit decree. They’ll have absolutely nowhere to hide with this one.

It’s not like they will have finally decided to crack down on drug traffickers or border smugglers, no, they will be out in costume murdering people that have MADE into criminals by an arbitrary stack of paper signifying a backroom, late night fuckfest between the MIC’s and PICs’ (Military & Prison Industrial Complexes, respectively), and a gaggle of knock kneed useless pieces of shit calling themselves Public Servants. 14. studs mackenzie says:

I Christopher Parrett, as an American, as a military veteran, and as a father, pledge the following:

I Pledge to never disarm, and in particular, to never surrender my
military pattern, semi-automatic rifles (and full capacity magazines,
parts, and ammunition that go with them), regardless of what
illegitimate action is taken by Congress, the President, or the courts.

I also pledge to pass on those
military pattern rifles to my children and my children’s children, as
well as the full capacity magazines, parts, and ammunition to needed to
use them, regardless of what illegitimate action is taken by Congress,
the President, or the courts. As Founding Father Tench Coxe said, while
attempting to allay the fears of critics of the proposed Constitution:

The powers of the sword are in the hands of the yeomanry of America
from sixteen to sixty. The militia of these free commonwealths,
entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible
army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? Are they
not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man
    against his own bosom?

Congress have no power to disarm
the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the
soldier, are the birth-right of an American… [T]he unlimited power of
the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state
governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands
of the people. – Tench Coxe, Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.

And that “power of the sword” – those “terrible implements of the
soldier,” includes the people’s battle rifles and carbines – their M1As,
their FN-LARs, their HK 91s, their Grandfathers’ M1 Garand, their AK
47s, their ARs and M4s, etc. – all of the weapons listed as being
targeted for Feinstein’s new and improved “Assault Weapons Ban.”

The whole point of the Second Amendment is to preserve the military
capacity of the American people – to preserve the ability of the people,
who are the militia, to provide for their own security as individuals,
as neighborhoods, towns, counties, and states, during any emergency,
man-made or natural; to preserve the military capacity of the American
people to resist tyranny and violations of their rights by oath breakers
within government; and to preserve the military capacity of the people
to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and
domestic, including those oath breaking domestic enemies within
government. It is not about hunting, and at its core, the Second
Amendment is not really even about self-defense against private
criminals. It is about self-defense against public criminals – against
tyrants, usurpers, and foreign invaders. (and that is the whole point of
the crucial upcoming film, Molon Labe).

    Above all other
firearms currently available to the American citizen, modern military
pattern, semi-automatic rifles provide that military capacity.
Protecting the keeping and bearing of such arms of military utility is
the heart and soul of the Second Amendment. Thus, any attempt to ban
their possession, sale, purchase, or transfer, is an attempt to disarm
    the American people.

Nor will I surrender my accurate, scoped,
bolt action rifles, which are also great force multipliers of military
utility in the roles of sniper and marksman. Invaders, tyrants and
usurpers fear the sniper and marksman for good reason, and millions of
American hunters have the well practiced field-craft and marksmanship
skills to serve in those rolls most effectively. We must preserve their
means of doing so, including preserving our .50 caliber sniper rifles,
our .338 Lapua’s, our .300 Win Mags, and other powerful, long-range
    capable calibers.

Nor will I surrender my semi-automatic
pistols with full capacity magazines, which provide me with the capacity
to effectively defend against close range, sudden attack.

    I
will not disarm, regardless of what law is passed by the oath breakers
in Congress, or signed into law by the oath breaker in the White House,
and I WILL pass on to my children every terrible implement of the
    soldier currently in my possession.

    Further, I will ask my
children to also pledge to never surrender those family arms and
equipment, regardless of what illegitimate, Bill of Rights violating law
is passed by the oath breakers in Washington DC, and regardless of
whatever any oath breaking judge may rule.

    Further, I pledge to
refuse compliance with any and all laws that attempt to strip me and my
children of those arms, the full capacity magazines needed to load and
fire them, or the parts and ammunition needed to keep them firing. I
will use nullification, civil disobedience, and active resistance
against all such laws. I will nullify, disobey, and resist as an
individual, and I will work with my neighbors to nullify, disobey, and
resist as towns, counties, and states. We will not disarm, we will not
    comply, and we will resist.
Further, I pledge to refuse to vote for,
and to actively work to purge from office any elected official, of any
party, who violates their oath of office by supporting, endorsing, or
voting for any law, action, or decree that attempts to disarm me, my
children, or my children’s children of any of the above noted arms. I
pledge to root the oath breakers out, in a scorched earth policy. I will
not buy into the “lesser of two evils” con game, and regardless of what
party an oath breaking politician is in, and regardless of the outcome
of elections, that oath breaker will not get my vote, ever again, once
they betray my trust and violate their oath by voting for an assault
weapons ban or any other attempt to curtail my right to bear arms.

Finally, I pledge to defend myself, my neighbors, my town, county, and
state, against any attempt to forcibly disarm them pursuant to any
“assault weapons ban” or any other illegitimate “law” passed by oath
breakers within Congress, or pursuant to any illegitimate order, action,
or decree by the oath breaker within the White House. We will not
disarm. We will resist. And if given no other choice but to fight or to
submit to abject tyranny, we will fight, just as our forefathers in the
American Revolution fought against the tyrants, usurpers, and oath
    breakers of their day.

If we are presented with the “choice” of
submission to tyranny or fighting in defense of our natural rights, we
will fight, as our forefathers fought, when the British Empire attempted
to disarm them and confiscate the military pattern arms, ammunition,
and supplies of their time. We will make the same choice as Patrick
Henry made, when he rejected “peace” purchased at the price of chains
and slavery, and said “I know not what course others may take, but as
for me, give me liberty, or give me death!” I too choose liberty or
    death.

I hereby reaffirm my oath to defend the Constitution
against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and pledge my life, my
fortune, and my sacred honor in defense of the principles of liberty
enunciated in our Declaration of Independence, for which our forefathers
spilled their blood. We will not let the Republic fall without a fight.

studs mackenzie has it right: The time for debating, cajoling, arguing, compromising, voting and in general trying to do the right way is ending. It is time to make a choice about what life is about. If it is about just staying alive, do anything and everything you are told to do, including betraying your family and country to the monsters growing among us.

If your life is about standing up, standing tall and saying “This much and no further”, decide NOW. The time to settle this in your mind is NOW, to bring what you have built of your character into the spotlight and say “I will not go quietly, I will not surrender to criminals, I will not live on my knees.”

We are all going to die, we are all going to leave the world. When we leave, will our last thoughts be that we lived up to the very highest principals we have, or that we sold out for a few more weeks/months/years, begging for the chance to live when those we begged from should have been removed without mercy.

They are CRIMINALS. Do you beg from criminals or do you stand up against criminals? How much more evidence do we need of their treason? How many more histories do we have to read to understand we are standing on the principals of the FOUNDERS of this country.

If we have to bring it all down around our heads like Sampson, so be it. I would rather live peacefully with my neighbors, regardless of creed or color. But if I have to go to war to prevent them from seizing my property, my security and my freedom, go to war I will.

I am not alone. There are millions, millions thinking about this now. Do not give up hope, do not shrink in fear. Think of how you will make them fear you soon. Prepare.

That is how our government is trying to kill the second amendment. One tiny law at a time in each state mandated by the presidential administration. When collectively viewed all the parts of the puzzle will eventually fall into place and we will lose if we sit by and watch. The tree huggers teach us to watch without interference. Here is an interesting factoid: almost sixty percent of gun homicides are committed by blacks, or six times more than their relative share. If they were eliminated from the calcs, the US gun murder rate would look a lot more like that of other developed nations.

Here is another thought – instead of banning guns from the entire population, why not just ban blacks from owning them. Ten per cent of the population would be affected and you would get sixty percent of the benefit.

Do you think Joe Ghettodweller would hand in his guns? Do you think that this sixty percent will be affected by gun laws at all?

Fucking politicians do not have any idea about what the problems really are. A lawless ten per cent of the society is causing huge problems. How about they address that, and leave the majority – the law abiding citizens- alone? But I guess that would be racist.

Interesting milestone reported today, Chicago’s 500th murder of the year. And Chicago has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation.

I’m not going to say it did not happen but can someone point me to some legitimate stories (case studies would be nice) about the military or LEO going door to door and confiscating guns? A cursory search of Google tells me this narrative is much like the twin towers being brought down in a controlled demolition. I’ve read several stories from people who sounded like they needed to be disarmed. Unfortunately, many stories seem tied to Alex Jones and other whack jobs out there.

FWIW, I was on an extended vacation when Katrina hit. I saw almost no news coverage of the aftermath, at least not in real time. I had already been through a major hurricane myself and to be honest, if you survive the initial storm unhurt, surviving the aftermath is not terribly difficult.

So how about it? Got any legitimate stories that you verified yourself? First hand accounts not tied to Alex Jones? Case studies citing sources etc? If they exist, they are few and far between from what I can tell. Convince me. Make me a believer.

this isn’t confirmed first hand and the video compilation does have some Alex Jones segment after the footage but I just received this video from a friend of the wifey and it shows local news footage of some of the confiscation done during and immediately after Katrina.

go to the link below and watch the video, the katrina stuff starts right 8 mins 34 secs.

Maybe you should just quit following Alex Jones and get a real job.

Is Reason a trustworthy site? I remember various news stories but no links so I started a search.

“During the weeks after Hurricane Katrina, the government of New Orleans devolved from its traditional status as an elective kleptocracy into something far more dangerous: an “anarcho-tyranny” that refused to protect the public from criminals while preventing people from protecting themselves. On the orders of New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, the New Orleans Police Department, the National Guard, the Oklahoma National Guard, and the U.S. Marshals Service began breaking into homes at gunpoint, confiscating lawfully owned firearms, and evicting the residents. “No one is allowed to be armed,” said P. Edwin Compass III, the superintendent of police. “We’re going to take all the guns.”"

    on pg 3

“The good gun-owning citizens of New Orleans and the surrounding areas should have been thanked for helping to save some of their city after Mayor Nagin, incoherent and weeping, had fled. Yet instead these citizens were victimized by a new round of home invasions and looting, these government-organized, for the purpose of firearms confiscation.”

    and

“After Katrina struck, we saw an awful truth in New Orleans: There is no shortage of police officers and National Guardsmen who will illegally threaten peaceful citizens at gunpoint and confiscate their firearms. We also saw some noble truths: that citizens with firearms will defend law and order even when the government fails.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_government_response_to_Hurricane_Katrina

“Controversy arose over a September 8 city-wide order by New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass to local police, U.S. Army National Guard soldiers, and Deputy U.S. Marshals to confiscate all civilian-held firearms. “No one will be able to be armed,” Compass said. “Guns will be taken. Only law enforcement will be allowed to have guns.” Seizures were carried out without warrant, and in some cases with excessive force; one instance captured on film involved 58 year old New Orleans resident Patricia Konie. Konie stayed behind, in her well provisioned home, and had an old revolver for protection. A group of police entered the house, and when she refused to surrender her revolver, she was tackled and it was removed by force. Konie’s shoulder was fractured, and she was taken into police custody for failing to surrender her firearm.[79][80] Even U.S. Army National Guard soldiers, armed with M16 assault rifles, were used for house to house searches, seizing firearms and attempting to get those remaining in the city to leave.”
