GOOGLE THINKS I’M A HARMLESS BUNNY

They’ll rue the day they underestimated me. I will haunt them and taunt them and make their lives miserable.

Because I don’t give a shit. I’m a honey badger.

Q: How can Google install a Google cookie in my browser when I never use Google? This has nothing to do with Startpage. A Google cookie called ‘PREF’ can be set when you use Firefox or Chrome as your browser, regardless of whether you visit google.com or any other site. There is a technical reason why this happens. More information can be found here. One way to prevent this is to disable or limit the use of cookies. This is something Startpage recommends from a privacy perspective. For Firefox, go to ‘Preferences’ -> ‘Privacy’, for Chrome, go to ‘Options’ -> ‘Under the Hood’, and disable the cookies.

I got that from: https://startpage.com/eng/protect-privacy.html , may be of some iterest for Firefox users.

Firefox/Tools/Options/Privacy

Under History check Firefox will “use custom settings for history”

check “Accept cookies from sites”

below that “Accept third party cookies””Always””

below that “Keep until: “”Ask me every time””

You will have to manage all cookies. Pay attention to what you block. If you block something you really want, you will have to click the “Exceptions” tab and unblock it.

You can keep a lot of scum out of your computer. If you lock out google, you won’t be able to access gmail or other google shit. I’ve seen google locked out and trying to use google earth resulted in a blue screen stop error.

It’s interesting to see who wants access to your computer. You might recall my TBP/doj post.

I am the thumb down-er on Bob`s post. Even the blamed IE9 blocks third party cookies, and I quote:
“that do not have a compact privacy policy. ” Also blocked are the third party cookies that, quote again: “save info to contact you without your explicit consent”
And the best of it, IE9 blocks: “first party cookies that save info that can be used to contact you without your expicit consent”.
And it`s easy to achive that: under the IE9-tools tab, click: Internet options and then there the “privacy” tab. Drag the slider to the “medium-high” tab.

Then, some of you may like to go to IE9-tools-safety-Tracking Protection and choose to block content by hand, not automaticaly. It`s some work required there (mouse clicks) but well worth it.
And you will see why you have to Hate Google.
Peace.

An epic world-class EXPOSE’ of google will guarantee you a place in heaven. It will be google’s version of “A Day Of Infamy”.

There are PRECIOUS FEW good articles on “the evils of google”, and no great ones. Check for yourself by searching for “is google evil”. (Don’t use google, though!!)

There are two half-way decent ones …. but they sugar coat their words. Just not enough vitriol. I’m sure you will take care of that.

1)

Is Google Evil?

2) http://www.wired.com/business/2012/06/opinion-google-is-evil/

.
In fact, if you search for “is google evil” ……… most of the returned results will be in regards to google’s own informal motto —– “Don’t Be Evil,” HOW FUCKING IRONIC IS THAT?? I definitely believe the title of your upcoming evisceration must include the words “google” and “evil” …. a guarantee that millions of people worldwide will have access to it easily and quickly.

FUCK YOU GOOGLEFUKS!!!

They also probably know your bank account PIN and credit card information, which they undoubtedly will use against you or give to the authorities if you do anything that the State decides to investigate you for. And Google also sells what they know about you to marketing companies.

Oh, and did you know that many companies now use Google Analytics to track internal communications? Seriously… one of my clients knows how many people (and who) opened a given email message from the CEO. They know how many clicked a link to watch a corporate video. They also can tell how many minutes of that video you watched. All brought to you by Google Analytics.

Thanks for asking. But, in those rare events I actually have something of interest to say you always have carte blanche to use it, with or without attribution … however it best flows in your article.

I can’t wait for it. But take your time and do it right. Nail those fuckers!! I know you will.

EXCELLENT TITLE … especially the “Do no evil google” part … turning their words against them. Brilliant.

If you are using Firefox go download Ghostery and it will give you a whole list of shit that is going on and give you several options for disabling much of Google’s bullshit. It is on just about every page you visit and the options to control it via Ghostery are very simple and and easy to use.

I couldn’t help but think of Monty Python when I watched this… little levity for another never-ending-winter day.
