I agree with Rand Paul’s viewpoints on almost everything and then he has to get on the “life begins at conception” bullshit and he loses me.
Seems that modern day conservatives always have to pander to the “Bible-Thumpers” to get votes. But why is it they always want to force the Woman to bring the baby to term but that’s where their interest ends; no help for you to actually RAISE that child they were so hell-bent on you having!

When is “life begins at conception” a hard concept to get? The question is not when life begins but if you or society at large have the right to terminate that life at some point. If you or society have that right then it is a matter of where this point begins and ends and that is the slippery slope have been on for some time. Have you noticed how the beginning and ending point change depending on who you ask, “relatively speaking”, of course. 🙂 Legally declaring that “life” begins at 3 months (or whatever) is subjective, talking about when the individual or society has the right/power to kill clarifies and focuses the conversation.

Rand Paul will affect no real change. He is one of them. When in our lifetimes has anyone made truly meaningful change that is reasonable, sustainable, responsible and Constitutional in regard to freedom, liberty, responsibility, justice and the best interests of productive people? Never, none, nada, zip, zero.
The only way to speak truth to power and make it matter is with rifles, gallows and guillotines.
