Turkey hates the Kurds. Turkey is on our side. ISIS has been fighting the Kurds on the Turkish border. We hate ISIS. Turkey is sending their tanks into Syria to fight whom? I’m so confused. Can someone tell me who to root for? They all look alike. Just point out the moderate Muslims that I’m supposed to root for. That should be easy. Right?
Turkey is boosting its military on the Syrian border as ISIS advances. Police tear-gassed a crowded checkpoint in an attempt to clear it and enhance security as the situation becomes more confused and dangerous. Over a dozen Turkish tanks lined up across the frontier from the Syrian town of Kobani where battles have raged for weeks between ISIS militants and Kurdish militiamen.
Since we’re against Assad, the Peshmerga, ISIS and Al Nusra, we’ve thrown all of our support behind whoever’s left. It’s some dude named Jeff who runs a pizza joint outside of Damascus.
Iska
You always crack me up. Comic relief is necessary in this fucked up world.
Cheer for the Devil. Your side will always win.
Iska,
Thank you for clearing that up. I am throwing all of my moderate support behind Jeff. GO JEFF!!
I’m taking ISIS on the road in Kurdistan -6 1/2 points .
I’ll take the Kurds and 4. Stand with Rand and BC-LR to all
I’ll take ISIS plus 4 cruise missiles and the UK minus 2 heads.
I’ll take “Fake enemies to enrich the Military-Industrial complex” for $500, Alex.
“A million dead Armenians for $100, Alex.”
Fuck Turkey.

After weeks of sustained air strikes in Iraq, Islamic State fighters have reportedly hit Baghdad’s international zone with mortars on Monday.
The so-called “Green Zone” is in the heart of the city and lies along the Tigris River. The U.S. Embassy is located there, along with several Iraqi government buildings.
CNN’s Ben Wedemen, reporting from Baghdad, said several mortar rounds landed in the Green Zone late Monday. Officials with U.S. Central Command did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Defense One. Several news outlets said the Islamic State is now operating in Abu Ghraib, a city just west of Baghdad and only a few miles from the Baghdad International Airport, where U.S. troops are positioned. It’s possible the mortar attacks were launched from Abu Ghraib, based on the proximity of its location. Pro-Shiite militias are also operating in the area.
