He was about to be ousted by his own party as Speaker, so he resigned first. Pussy!!! I can’t take another one of his blubbering performances as he whimpers about his decades of serving the vested corporate interests who have made him rich. He is a traitor to the American people. This wolf in sheep’s clothing is a corrupt, lowlife, scum sucking parasite on the asshole of America. And those are his best traits.
How long before he takes a $3 million per year position with Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan?
The combination of another debt limit fight, the defunding of Planned Parenthood, and prospect of another government shutdown tearing his party apart, the GOP just suffered its latest major blow, when news hit that House speaker John Boehner, just 24 hours after getting a visit by none other than the Pope, is folding one last time:
- BOEHNER TO RESIGN FROM CONGRESS, GIVE UP HOUSE SEAT IN OCT: NYT
Speaker John A. Boehner will resign from Congress and give up his House seat at the end of October, according to aides in his office.Mr. Boehner was under extreme pressure from the right wing of his conference over whether or not to defund Planned Parenthood in a bill to keep the government open.
Good fucking riddance.
Great day for america
And that’s a perfect eulogy, jim. Nice work

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Three in four Americans (75%) last year perceived corruption as widespread in the country’s government. This figure is up from two in three in 2007 (67%) and 2009 (66%).
These figures are higher than some might expect, and while the lack of improvement is somewhat disconcerting, the positive takeaway is that Americans still feel fairly free to criticize their government. This is not the case in some parts of the world. Questions about corruption are so sensitive in some countries that even if Gallup is allowed to ask them, the results may reflect residents’ reluctance to disparage their government. This is particularly true in countries where media freedom is restricted.
This is why it is most appropriate to look at perceptions of corruption through such lenses as the Freedom House’s Press Freedom rankings. Ratings vary among countries with a “free press,” including the U.S., and range from a high of 90% in Lithuania to a low of 14% in Sweden. The U.S. does not make the top 10 list, but notably, it is not far from it.
poster child for Kleenex!
These are the top companies who bribed Boehner for favors over his illustrious career. His big payoff will come now when his is hired by one them and gets cushy Board positions on 5 others. His annual income is about to soar.

While Im certainly glad to be rid of the weeping cheeto, this isn’t really a reason to celebrate- he will just be replaced by another corporate whore and we will continue the descent into fascism. The spice must flow.
And don’t cry for the weeping cheeto, he has his golden parachute pension and will no doubt get a nice “payback” job with a lobby firm or law firm for his “service” to his owners.
Fuck You crybaby. Ironically, not one American will shed a tear at his departure. Go suck diseased donkey dick, Mr. Boner.
Gator is right. Nothing will change except his salary will increase 10x. Also expect a book to be brokered by the CFR apparatchik which will make him $millions despite only selling 10 copies.
Great day for the U.S., and there is Hope that someone other than a crony will take his slot.
Great FUCKING day.
His job is done….Mission Accomplished! As just another cog in the wheel of ‘Murika’s enslavement he now goes to his sweet, sweet reward…..mansions, fancy cars, piles of money, little boys to bugger, punch bowls full of cocaine, and total immunity from any law.
Oh shit, he already has all that. Now what does he get?
One down…534 to go.
One can hope. 🙂
McConnel has to go next.
…a corrupt , lowlife ,scum sucking PARASITE …..that sums him up pretty good. I am so glad he will be gone.
Weeper Of The House Compilation
I’ll give Boehner partial credit for one thing: he adhered to the “Hastert Rule” on Rubio’s “Gang of Eight” open-borders amnesty bill from 2013, refusing to let it come to the floor. I’m sure Boehner WANTED to pass it, but he knew that if he did, he’d lose his speakership immediately. So it’s not like he hung tough out of principle. He was forced to do the right thing by the more conservative members of his own caucus.
Good point iska. Thank you JB. now don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out
Good fucking riddance. AGREED
he should do as john profumo did when he left british government in disgrace, clean the toilets and go to confession daily. the pope spoke to his conscience and his is hardly clear. tears won’t get you into heaven anymore. repent you self serving jerk.
Blubbering, sobbing alcoholic liability should’ve been ousted long ago.
Which spineless, gutless, nutless criminal gets to replace him?
But Admin, didn’t you and your neocon ilk vote this guy into office? Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Westcoaster
This RINO agrees with most of your asinine positions. You’ve lost a true Democrat ally. I don’t live in Ohio, so I didn’t have a say in electing weepy boner.
I have a feeling he’s bailing out before the shit hits the fan. Doesn’t want to be part of the tar and feathers party which will be had pretty soon now..
MA
As i watched some of the Popes speech, I pointed out to the wife about how Boehner looked like a drunk. Good to hear he is leaving. To bad we can’t get rid of more of the idiots in Washington.
Time to cash in at a private company for all his service to the american (corporate) people.
Admin: Correction, I haven’t lost ANYTHING! Now if the GOP would clean out the rest of the chicken coop I might pay more attention. Does anyone else see a connection between the timing of this shithead’s resignation and Yellen’s almost faint? Could be the currents are running underground and a “Bad Moon” is set to be rising. Equinoxes are powerful times.
@MuckAbout…..”I have a feeling he’s bailing out before the shit hits the fan”.
Oh man, I hope you’re right. I want the shit to hit the fan so bad I can taste it.
Wait a minute…that didn’t sound too good.
In any event, I would like you to be prophetic on this. Is anyone else “important” bailing out?
“Boehner is despised by the younger, more conservative members of the House Republican Conference. They are repelled by his personal behavior. He is louche, alcoholic, lazy, and without any commitment to any principle. Boehner has already tried to buy the members with campaign contributions and committee assignments, which he has already promised to potentially difficult members. His hold is insecure. He is not [Newt] Gingrich, the natural leader of a ‘revolution,’ riding the crest into power. He is careworn and threadbare, banal and hollow, holding nobody’s enduring loyalty.” – Sidney Blumenthal in a private email to Hillary Clinton
“We’ve never had anyone else willing to go on record about it. We have heard this from multiple sources on the Republican side that if you don’t get to Boehner by 7, 8 o’clock at night that he is hammered. I just know that he is beyond drunk…..This guy is sick. And as an alcoholic I know how difficult it is, but it’s interesting that everyone still rallies around him. …My concern has always been if the guy’s a raging alcoholic, how much danger does that put the United States of America in…a guy that you can’t trust is sober?” – Glenn Beck
Boehner Resigns After Meeting Pope
Posted on September 25, 2015 by Martin Armstrong
Our sources were spot on. John Boehner resigned, but only after meeting the Pope. This was the deal cut behind the curtain: Boehner would resign rather than face a revolution against his tactics. Boehner demanded his way or the highway and eliminated any Republican who supported the Tea Party or Ron Paul. I explained that he had been ruthless, vindictive, and dictatorial. His resignation demonstrates the shift that is taking place with this turning point on the Economic Confidence Model. Chalk one up for the opposition and good riddance to a very nasty country club Republican who was intent on maintaining Washington in opposition of the people.
