John Cleese says political correctness has gone too far, especially on America’s college campuses, where he will no longer go to perform. As BigThink reports, the very essence of his trade — comedy — is criticism and that not infrequently means hurt feelings. But protecting everyone from negative emotion all the time is not only impractical (one can’t control the feelings of another), but also improper in a free society.
Cleese, having worked with psychiatrist Robin Skynner, says there may even be something more sinister behind the insistence to be always be politically correct.
“If you start to say we mustn’t, we mustn’t criticize or offend them then humor is gone. With humor goes a sense of proportion. And then as far as I’m concerned you’re living in 1984.”

It’s like pressing down on a very strong coil spring, eventually the force compressing it grows weak and the coil spring springs forth to its true size again and all at once, often destroying everything near it in the process.
Best stay out of its way when it does, massive violence in the form of interpersonal, interracial, civil, and international warfare is the usual outcome when it happens.

Those who propose Political Correctness not only want to control your speech, they want to control how you THINK. Reason enough to inflict the death penalty for those who would be tyrants (and that’s another clue, with PC everyone can be a tyrant: you can try to shut down your enemies, neighbors, even friends (if you still have any) by claiming what they are saying is Just Not Allowed.

His line about humor and the sense of proportion is spot on, go to Bloomberg or other site and notice that the leftist big government types are invariably humorless jerks. Probably not a lot of fun to be with.
This idiot has been bashing Christianity for 30 years with very little blow back .Now he’s dealing with people who have given themselves over to Marxism. Communist are not tolerate folks. The essence of Marxism is hatred .The old order including Him must be destroyed in their ideology.
These people never think about what will replace Christianity once it has been banned from society or in this case the university.Now these fools are not sure what to do .
