Reich said he’s worried that Trump will set back the ‘Regressive’ Movement for decades.

Why is he worried – that would be the best outcome for America.

After 8 min’s, I couldn’t take listening to those two Alzheimer patients any longer.

I pay some attention to both these guys. Reich is using the “Supreme court nominee” card as his out for backing Hiliary; might make sense, but my feeling right now is we need wholesale change that only Trump could bring. So long as he’s honest with the voters, which might be too much to ask.

Westy,

For years the left spouted off that Republicans were using “wedge issues” like abortion & gay marriage to stop people from voting based upon “real issues”. Of course, I would dispute that one’s material comfort is the only real issue. The left has actually been using those “wedge issues”. They get you focused on social issues and then slide the corporatist globalism right under your nose. As a progressive, what’s your biggest fear about the Supreme Court? That they would undo their recent gay marriage decision? 1) not gonna happen (stare decisis) and 2) Most states would legalize gay marriage immediately anyway. Same thing with abortion. The court has had multiple bites at that apple since 1973. They’re not changing their minds, but even if they did, how many states would actually outlaw abortion? Probably none. Maybe South Dakota or Oklahoma. Europe never had a “Roe v Wade” court decision. They legalized abortion legislatively. So don’t worry – no matter who’s appointed to the court, you’ll have all of the gay marriage & abortions you could ever want.

On stare decisis, two entities in the justice system which are not bound by that pernicious doctrine are the Supreme Court and the petit jury. The Supremes pretend to be bound by it when it suits their purpose and judges routinely propagandize jury members with the lie that the jury is bound by it.

That’s why USSC and other Federal court appointments are so important, and the Elected officials that appoint and approve them even more important.

@Iska: While I appreciate the tutorial, what I said was REICH is using the Supreme court nomination meme as reason for voting in Hiliary. I didn’t say it was my concern as I’m voting for Trump if he is still alive & breathing on Nov 8.

The majority of Bernie voters will vote for Hillary since they are about as sincere in their professed “anti establishment” beliefs as Bernie was when he endorsed Hillary.

A few will sit it out and a few will vote for Trump and some for third parties (which usually only attract conservative voters in any number) but I don’t see it being a significant enough number of them to make a real difference in the outcome of the election.

IMO, of course. I could be wrong. It should become evident one way or the other over the next month or so.

Simple and plain–any Sanders supporter who votes for Hillary is a blatant hypocrite. She is the ULTIMATE establishment candidate.
Between the Wall Street and Bankers full blown support and the neo-con military industrial complex support, how can any true “anti-establishment” or self described “anarchist” or “liberal” ever vote for the Hildebeast?
