Muck’s Minute #32

This is the First and Last time you’ll hear about Electoral Voting Cycles from Old Muck!

This voting season would not be complete (or maybe better!) without Ol’ Muck’s nickel tossed into the ring.  So hold your noses, get a barf bag handy, a shot of Old Crock over ice on the end table next to you and here we go.

One must remember that the elections this November are not JUST about the President although to hear the media that’s the only thing that matters..  Wrong-oh!  Don’t forget the Supervisor of Elections, Sheriff, Tax Collector, State Legislature Senate and Representatives, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Country Commission Seats,  School Board Members Circuit and District State Judges (who can do an untold amount of local damage if they care too!) and all the dozens of smaller worker bees hopping to hop upon the State or Federal gravy train

First of all, this is not the first (nor will it be the last – short a financial or fiscal collapse or War far beyond what I expect to happen) where there was no one worth a good dammit-it-all-to-hell person to vote for the head of this country.  It’s happened – depending upon which historian you believe – at least a half dozen times over the past 240 some years of this magnificent country’s existence and probably more.

There are assholes of all colors, beliefs, agendas, crony groups, varied tints of greed and personal agendas, shifting cliques of political, tribal, racial, religious and all of varying degrees of their pursuit of power viewed through foggy lenses of ethical filtering.  The ethical filtering reaches from zip-squat to somewhere less than that.

Now and then along comes a LEADER – human, none the less, who puts his pants on one leg at a time, excretes several times a day (if he watches his diet and liquid intake), but this almost unique man has the capability to be a Statesman. He can work with others, compromise with individuals or groups (which, of course means no one is really happy about the outcome but something does get done!), speaks in a tone of voice that can be understood, holds a position that the United States of America and its’ people are the most important things to consider when pondering Presidential or Congressional elections and in evaluating the people trying to get elected try as hard as possible to select those who fit the bill.  This hasn’t happened successfully since Ronald Reagan and he didn’t do a super job of it.  It’s amazing how screwed up things have gotten in a mere 70 years (since Ike held the job).

(And YES! Just as a Fourth Turning is about to bite us all on the ass).

This election cycle is the same as all cycles before it with two exceptions. There have been election cycles just as dirty, just as ugly, meaningless and slimy as this one. Maybe a few even worse.  But not one of them has the combination of absolute immorality, stupidity and insanity coupled with the economic farce, fiscal idiocy and geopolitical minefields that this one has. (Remember, this is only my personal opinion).

There is no Presidential candidate to vote for and no Congress animals to vote for either.

There are several hundreds of trillion dollars of debt which will bankrupt the U.S.A. within the next 4-8 years (i.e. within the possible term(s) of those next “elected”) that is mathematically impossible to avoid.

I will not bore you all to tears in detailing how we go where we are – most people who have read the alt-media, TBP et-al for three to ten years already know exactly how we got here.

I won’t bore you all to tears suggesting piss-ant ways we “can do something” to fix it.  It can’t be fixed.  Malthus was right in the end except he was worried about food to feed the ever growing masses of his day.  But Malthus had plenty of trees to cut down, water wheels to provide burgeoning light industry and the lack of insight into what a monster civilization was about to bloom in such a short time.

We, instead,  will deal with monetary non-policy,  fiscal insanity, resource exhaustion of many Earthly resources necessary to our current way of life and way too many rats in the box (i.e. us) which, in the end, will bring about Malthus’ world only bigger, bloodier and likely to be permanent – somewhat extended by any technology that rushes into the gap to save us for a while.

An off-shoot thought!  Why do you think the European Union is slipping and sliding not so slowly into chaos?  Immigrants? Sure, but why are there so many immigrants? Simply because life in their home countries have become intolerable between failure of currencies, war, terrorism, and Religious conflict and outright death that fleeing seems to be the only answer.

It appears that where ever there is religious conflict, there is war, terror, death and destruction. Extreme belief and views on religion and goes hand in hand with death and destruction.  It becomes more sensible to make a life or death attempt to flee elsewhere where hopefully the immigrant can be left alone to simply live in peace.  This is step one of Malthus’s tale under a religious cover. Most bad things in this world (both personal and national) originate from two things: Religion and Debt.  (But I stray from my subject.)

In this country, another  extremely dangerous political problem likely insoluble is that for years and years, Congress critters, now a club of two fracturing parties with a handful of thinkers scattered throughout both sides, have, year after year abdicated their responsibility to run the country (HAH! You thought the job of running the country belonged to the President???  WRONG! )

The job of running the country is supposedly up to Congress, who represents the people of the country, communicates with them, gives the Executive Branch it’s marching orders and properly funds these projects to get them done. The Executive Branch (President + 1000’s of minions tucked here and there – maybe 100 would do the job) to try unsuccessfully to keep it all straight — well their job is to see to it that Congress’s instructions are carried out within time and on budget.  If Congress doesn’t approve how the Executive Branch is using the money or applying the funds to get a job done, that Congress merely de-funds that part of the project until agreement can be met on doing the job the way Congress wanted within limits of what the Executive can do (it’ called compromise – remember?)

But Congress has, as years have gone by, just abdicated responsibility to the Executive Branch to do the whole shebang with predictable results.  Now the Executive Branch writes Executive orders which acts as laws and ignores laws passed by Congress as it pleases.

This makes the Executive Branch of the Government (remember, under the Constitution there are three INDEPENDENT branches of government: Judicial, Legislative and Executive each with its’ own duties and obligations.

The Executive Branch is turning into a Dictatorship with the cooperation of both Legislative and Judicial Branches of government.

THIS MUST STOP..  NOW..  Or we will indeed find ourselves living under a dictator, call it what you will.

So vote for whoever you want for President – it won’t make a bit of difference in the outcome.

BUT : VOTE for Congressmen and Congresswomen with guts to take the country’s buttons and levers back from the Executive and tell the Executive what to do instead of vice versa.

End

Thanks, Muck.

But sorry to tell, those Congresscritter leaders do not exist, either. The Repubs hold the purse strings, for instance, and have yet to balance the budget. They could do it tonight if they wanted. Nope.

No leaders.

Muck, this just isn’t true. We have a great candidate, with a nice chance of actually getting some good things done for the country. How am I wrong? Most of the things that need fixing can be fixed with laws already on the books. No more congressional action needed. I think you are very confused politically. And you hate christianity. Christianity is a belief system. The best one mankind has ever created. Nothing more. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Sounds great to me. No wonder you’re confused. At this point, there are only two options, like it or not. Choose wisely. It does matter. You don’t see leadership in Donald Trump? The political discourse of the present is almost entirely of his making. The wall, no amnesty, no more muslims, no TPP, renegotiate NAFTA, cut the trade deficit, prosecute hillary, get us out of the middle east, law and order in the cities, get america working again. To disagree with any or all of that is fine. But to claim that leadership doesn’t exist in his case, ridiculous. Your opinions would mean more if you were paying attention. This is happening. You’re in for a shock on November 8th

Ridiculous and naive assessment since Islam means submission. You can wish the crocodile to leave you alone all you want but it would still rather eat you.

Of course they could do it tonight if they wanted. Believe me, they WANT to, but they want to do it without any pain! It is like, everything that’s painful, you avoid. Not anymore complicated than that.

So, if it is going to be painful and it can’t be avoided because there isn’t any more road to kick the can down, then make sure someone else deals with the pain and not US your elected leaders. I guess that means YOU’RE the someone else!

The reason Europe has immigrants is one) because they were created by Obama and Clinton, and two) Europe opened their borders to them.

Monetary insanity will soon be joined by fiscal insanity. It doesn’t matter who is the next president on this. Congress will legislate authority for the Fed to directly monetize new deficit spending. The reps you just voted for will vote for this.

This will happen when the next economic slow down is sufficient enough to use as an excuse. Deficits will be a trillion a year and will run for several years. This may create boom times for asset owners. Heck, I will buy houses if the mortgage interest rate is negative. I will buy a lot of them.

Does the abdicated responsibility by the legislative branch amount to an admission that the problems facing the U.S. can’t be fixed? After years of kicking the can down the road with no call for accounting by their constituency neither they nor the American public have cajones to face the harsh realities of the austerity it would take to right the ship.
The deck chairs will float peacefully to the surface as our elected masters commandeer the only lifeboat and row off into the sunset. “So long, Suckers!”

Part of being a a real man is seeing the negative and the positive, the good and the bad side of things. Looking at thing realistically. You can’t plan an effective life with a Mary Poppins’ attitude. It feels good for a while until reality makes it’s ugly appearance. But then, that’s what Rationalization is all about, to make you feel better when you missed the blatant signposts screaming at you that somethings amiss .

I’m a glass, half empty, kinda guy. It’s not much fun, but it certainly has its advantages.
One of which is, not being bamboozled by bunch of weasel eyed politicians.

P.S. I can plan from reality, delusions are a ‘hall of mirrors’.

Delusion–“Psychiatry. a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact(s)”.
OR
Delusion–Democrats holding a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact(s)! haha! Sorry I couldn’t resist. It seemed so appropriate.

Most bad things in the world originate from religion and debt says Muck. Debt I understand but religion.
Everything you take for granted like Western Civilization comes from religion . Without Christ no Christianity , without Christianity no Western Civilization.
All the biggest mass murderers known to history were motivated by secular atheistic ideologies .Muck you have disappointed me with your sloppy thinking.

“Western civilization? 2 world wars and other wars too numerous to list. Not quite an oxymoron but close.”

Thats just the icing on the cake of the genocide of the heathen. Dont matter how good you are, you will burn in hell for eternity if you don’t believe Jesus could but just chooses not to show himself or say anything. But no matter how bad you are you can convert any time and join your silent savior on the clouds. Until then you take his silence for approval of anything you want to do and treat nonbelievers as non human. Greatest system known to man for sure.

If Trump is elected at least I will have a degree of some of the things I believe in expressed in government.

Something I haven’t had for a long, long time.

IMO, something is better than nothing,

@Muck,
Thank you for your analysis.
To your main point…the House and the Senate are supposed to be
the ones “running the country” with the prez. as figure head
speaking for and supporting their decisions.
We don’t have that. We have instead permanent positions within
the House and Senate, and the same corrupt people are re-elected
term after term after term. Many seem like idiots to us. Vile faces
spouting the same self-interested rhetoric becoming parodies of
themselves. Think Nancy P., Chuck S., and (former) Barney Frank.
Their “votes” seem tailored to promote their personal interests,
and the interests of contributors to their campaign funds. They
are blatant about it, exempting themselves from the laws they
promote for their constituents, and coincidentally they grow rich
and richer over their endless tenure. Their ever growing staff and bureaucracies, and armies of bureaucrats, spend their time
making things miserable for the common man. Plus, en mass
they craft “regulations” and “policies” that hamper and punish the common person. Business owners would have many examples
to share about that. Further, they get in our faces about trying
to control our lives. Absurd “legislation” regarding marriage, and
bathrooms for example. They sponsor blatant theft v. asset seizures, or shall we say highway robbery. Actually, their offenses
by far outnumber anything of value they accomplish. If I were
queen for the day, I would use a power washer to push the whole
lot out of DC, including all the agencies and their army of misery
makers and make workers. We need to get the festering apples
out of the barrel, which at this stage, are most of them. The barrel
contains a slimy stinky mass.

“It will be a win for the voters – not the pundits, not the journalists, not the lobbyists, not the global special interests funding my opponent’s campaign.”

“But to achieve this New American Future, we must break free from the bitter failures of the past – and reject the same insiders telling us the same old lies.”

“The inner cities of our country have been run by the Democratic Party for 50 years. Their policies have produced only poverty, joblessness, failing schools, and broken homes.”

“By contrast, the one thing every item in Hillary Clinton’s agenda has in common is that it takes jobs and opportunities from African-American workers. Her support for open borders. Her fierce opposition to school choice. Her plan to massively raise taxes on small businesses. Her opposition to American energy. And her record of giving our jobs away to other countries.

America must reject the bigotry of Hillary Clinton who sees communities of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future.

Hillary Clinton would rather provide a job to a refugee from overseas than to give that job to unemployed African-American youth in cities like Detroit who have become refugees in their own country.”

“Hillary Clinton is a throwback to an ugly past where politicians preyed on our poorest citizens while selling them out for personal gain.”

“Michigan lost more than 1 in 4 of its manufacturing jobs since NAFTA. As you know, NAFTA was signed by President Bill Clinton. It was supported by Hillary Clinton. Right here, in this community, you’ve lost 1 in 7 manufacturing jobs since Bill Clinton put China into the World Trade Organization – another Hillary Clinton-backed deal. Detroit lost more than 1 in 3 manufacturing jobs following the NAFTA and WTO agreements supported by my opponent.

No industry has been hurt more by Hillary Clinton’s policies than the car industry. It’s been a total disaster.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, before NAFTA went into effect, there were 285,000 auto workers in Michigan. Today, that number is only 160,000.”

“Her failed decisions as Secretary of State unleashed ISIS onto the world.”

These are all quotes from jsut one single Trump speech. So my question is why are all these people still parroting the same old line that we dont have anyone worth voting for? What the hell do you want from a candidate?

The Deep State is running the government command and control economy and society. There is no chance that one candidate or several, no matter how dedicated, can turn America around. Like the Titanic the USA will sink. History teaches us this – Roman Empire, Spanish Empire, German Reich,Soviet Union, etc. they all collapse because no one can turn them around.
