That pic reminds me, be sure to make your congress critters support the Hearing Protection Act.

Something that actually makes sense and that may make it into law under Trump.

Anyone know of a real crime committed using a “silencer” at all or particularly one dependent on the use of one?

I can’t think of any. It serves no purpose in preventing violent crime of any kind.

For those unfamiliar with it: http://www.guns.com/2016/02/11/hearing-protection-act-gains-both-attention-and-sponsors/

“You Don’t Need 30 Rounds To Hunt”
Depends. What are we hunting?

I commemorated National Ammo Day, November 19, with a purchase of two 30-round magazines and 1,000 rounds of .223.

What’s in your gun safe?

What is in your gun safe/lock closet? The one thing you do not want to see in your safe/lock closet ect. is the ceiling of said spot, you can see the ceiling, you do not have enuff ammo! When is the last time you heard someone mention,”You know,I have too much ammo”?

I know a guy that had 40,000 rounds stored in several calibers till a very fast moving forest fire forced and emergency evacuation and he lost it all along with most of his guns, some of which were non replaceable NFA weapons..

IMO, what you actually need is as much as you can carry with you in a fast getaway and a little on hand for target practice that you replace as you need to.

That depends on what yer huntin’ and whether it can shoot back! Better to have more fire power and not need it than need it and not have enough.

Not against guns at all, in fact I own some but its interesting that, in recent times, dictatorships have been toppled not by citizens with firearms but with huge crowds in public squares. In Ukraine, in Egypt, in the USSR. China was the exception.

A national army is reluctant to shoot unarmed citizens but if they come under fire you cross a threshold that leads to civil war.

Yep,but China/Russia/Cambodia and many other countries disarmed their people before commiting democide, probably over 200 million killed by democide in the 20th century.Peaceful protest a great thing and am all for it.Being a disarmed citizen while the govt. is armed to the teeth has not worked out well for millions,am all against that.

Militia-minded folk don’t like to be told dictatorships were toppled by military forces. Heck George Washington probably put the “well-regulated” in the 2A as he found militias unreliable during the Revolutionary War.
