Thank god for the doughnut eaters who arrived 30 minutes later to put the cuffs on them. Most mainstream media outlets barely mention that it was a gun owning citizen who captured these ruthless pieces of shit.
Hero homeowner holds escaped Georgia inmates at gunpoint until arrests
A Tennessee homeowner held two escaped inmates wanted in the killing of two prison guards at gunpoint Thursday until authorities arrived and made the arrests.
Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Bill Miller said late Thursday that the homeowner caught Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose trying to steal his vehicle.
Miller says the escaped Georgia inmates had crashed a car while being chased by law enforcement and fled on foot into woods along Interstate 24 near the rural community of Christiana.

Miller says something alerted the homeowner that people were outside his home and he saw the men trying to steal his vehicle. The trooper says the homeowner held the two at gunpoint with a neighbor he called until the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department could get there to arrest them.
Rowe and Dubose are accused of killing two guards on a prison transfer bus early Tuesday. Authorities had offered a $130,000 reward for information leading to their arrests.
Authorities say Rowe and Dubose overpowered and killed Sgt. Christopher Monica and Sgt. Curtis Billue early Tuesday on a bus that should have been secured as it carried 33 inmates between prisons southeast of Atlanta.
Authorities had offered a $130,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the fugitives, whom Sills had called “dangerous beyond description.”
The search had involved law enforcement officers all over Georgia, as well as the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Gov. Nathan Deal released a statement, “Rest assured, justice will be served. My sincere thanks to our local, state and federal law enforcement officers who assisted in the manhunt. Because of their tireless efforts, the public is safe.”
I gotta believe that facial tats are gonna totally eff up one’s bid for anonymity.
“Authorities had offered a $130,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the fugitives, whom Sills had called “dangerous beyond description.””
So, who the fuck is Sills?
“Gov. Nathan Deal released a statement, “Rest assured, justice will be served. My sincere thanks to our local, state and federal law enforcement officers who assisted in the manhunt. Because of their tireless efforts, the public is safe.””
Wake up, guv. Your beloved ossifers were fucking off in the nearest Dunkin Donuts while some unsung tax victim took these assholes down. What the fuck is wrong with you, anyway?
EXACTLY!
“My sincere thanks to our local, state and federal law enforcement officers who assisted in the manhunt. Because of their tireless efforts, the public is safe.”
How about the “tireless efforts” of the citizens with the guns?
Oh, yeah, we are supposed to be victims waiting for the PD to save us. Wouldn’t want to give the proles any ideas.
Yeah this is pretty messed up…

“The entire GDC family is infinitely grateful for all the support and assistance by law enforcement agencies from across the country. They, too, put their own lives in danger to help protect our citizens.”
No mention of the person who actually was at the point of real capture.
Fuck these rabbits.
No shit. I was thinking ‘feel good story’ but the end just pissed me off. Thanking the LE community, who let these two escape, and were completely useless in finding them, and not the random citizen that actually stopped them. There is no telling how many lives that guy saved, and its the dickless cops that get the thank you, after they not only let them escape from the prison bus, but failed to pursue them into the woods after running them off a road. Someone should get fired over that last part – allowing them to wander off into the woods and into a residential area.
Yeah, the gov fails to mention that it was LE dickheads who fucked around there and let these two loose to start with. Fucking politicians. if you don’t put a penny in their pocket when you bury them, you can’t say you buried anything.
A shame the homeowner didn’t kill them, wasn’t it?
I think they more than earned their death sentences. Too bad the didn’t “resist” the homeowner. I might have just went…oppps…they lunged at me.
Better this way. He might have had to spend more than 130 grand on a criminal and civil trial.
Never fail to consider the mendacity and inimical nature of a DA.
Maybe in some places, but I highly doubt he’d have that problem in TN. On his property, escaped inmates, already killed two people. This was certainly a case where the gene pool could have used a healthy dose of bleach.
Look mama, there’s 130 grand trying to steal my truck!!!
HA!
Oh yeah, that’s a good one!
Sadly, it’s probably about 70 grand by the time the tax man is done.
What a douchebag of a governor! “Tireless efforts” indeed, and apparently no mention of who actually collared these pricks. Unbelievable. Also, no mention of the guys who captured them in the AP story I just read.
The corrections officers were probably embarrassed by their utter incompetence at their escaping. And the police were even more embarrassed by not even being able to capture them.
The homeowner should have considered the SSS philosophy.
No really, I coughed twice officers. Damned finger on the trigger just followed suit. after all, I was nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Those little pu….. were so stupid it’s incredible.
If you killed 2 cops in front of multiple witnesses, would you take a chance and try to get away from the homeowner?
When seconds count , police are minutes away !
This is America and the second amendment is the right that secures all the others . Sadly if these escaped pos were shot on site by a citizen , today’s system would grind them up and spit them out !
When I lived in North Carolina, there was some escapee on the loose and the governor declared him an outlaw. Somebody explained to me that under NC law, the governor can do that and it makes it legal for any citizen to shoot him on sight.
Maybe they were just fucking with me because I asked about it, but I thought that it probably would make an escaped convict turn themselves in.
Do you think this citizen is really going to get the reward?
It will be interesting to see if he does. He will probably get screwed out of it somehow. And I wonder if the cops took his gun away from him, which usually happens so they can “safely” investigate the incident. If they did, he may never get it back.
