Can a Nation Attack a Company?

Guest Post by Scott Adams

North Korea keeps testing missiles that can reach the United States. China could turn off trade with North Korea, and effectively force them to stop, but that isn’t happening. Why the hell not?

A story in Newsweek says the bulk of Chinese trade with North Korea involves just ten Chinese companies. The working assumption is that those ten companies are so “connected” and powerful that even the Chinese government can’t influence them, or might not want to try.

Fair enough. That makes the government of China common observers in this drama. Embarrassing for them.

But those ten companies are certainly our enemies. I’d say those ten companies are fair game for a cyberattack, a financial attack, competitive attack, and any other kind of non-military attack we can mount. My understanding is that only our government knows which ten companies are involved. If we aren’t moving against them, I don’t understand why. The Chinese government would try to stop us, but I’m betting they wouldn’t try that hard, if you catch my drift.

By the way, how do we know ten companies are the villains in this story? Sounds like the sort of thing a clever president would leak to the press to foreshadow what might be happening behind the scenes. I’d hate to be an owner of any of those ten companies.

Keep in mind that none of us has the required knowledge to distinguish a good idea from a bad one in this realm. I offer this sort of blog post to diversify the pool of ideas. That in itself can often be good.

What if we just minded our own F^#king business.

The answer to that question is obvious – if we minded our own business, we would not be able to enrich the rentier class with revenue generated by years of conflict. Peace = no revenue. Conflict = years of residual income, on the backs of gullible families that believe that they are fighting for truth, justice and the murikan way.
What do you suppose would happen if our youth woke up to what all of this conflict was really about, and decided not to volunteer to get their bodies broken, psyche destroyed and get dead for the sake of Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon and BP, and simply told the recruiter in high school to eat it? How long before they would resort to a draft? What do you suppose their justification would be? Would love to see John McCain asked if he would send his daughter to Iraq to fight for “freedom from terrorism” whatever the fuck that even means….
Until I see all of the war hawks sending their own progeny to these god forsaken hell holes for “freedom” and their “cause”, I tell every youngster you are better off learning a trade and staying sane, with all of your limbs and life.

China has not been given any reason to undermine N.Korea. The US deployed X-band radar on the border of NK, despite Chinese protests, so that it could spy into China. No way the Chinese will ever let the US control North Korea, and plant the radar directly on the Chinese border, and probably missiles too….The US could demilitarize S.Korea, but neocons make too much money off the imperial overstretch…

We declared war on a political strategy (terrorism) for crying out loud. When it comes to the warmaking US government, we can do pretty much whatever we want….right up until they all finally gang up and put a stop to the global BS.
