The supposedly superior in intellect like Megan have been dumbed down in matters dealing with reality so well they have fallen into the student loan trap for a tuition that paid professors to convince them to march with Antifa, etc. Contract employment available paid by Soros?

For all my higher education – 2 STEM degrees – I really learned the most from my grandfather who owned a mechanical engineering firm that specialized in HVAC. I can solder / braze / weld, cut pipe, thread pipe, electrical, 3 phase power, control circuits… These skills have helped me my entire life, remodeled several homes, fixed all appliances – saved me a ton of money.

Although we knock unions – I learned a lot from union pipe fitters and electricians – some pretty sharp guys.

My son agrees with you. He has a STEM degree (marine engineering) and spent six years on an offshore oil rig, upon which he found his mentor, an non-degreed Brazilian who could never become an officer but had more practical knowledge than nearly anyone and taught my son all the hands-on knowledge that made it possible for him to launch his own water well drilling firm. He’s out back right now in his work clothes running tests and making monkey-wrench adjustments with the “uneducated” laborer he put through a course in Brazil from which upon completion, holding his certificate, Vicente (a 55 yr old mestizo) said was one of the proudest moments of his life. Vicente doesn’t need any Megans to “stand up” for him because he stands up for himself and earns his way.

Now that I think about it a bit more, nobody needs any Megans and everybody would be better off without them.

A-men.

In propping up every non-white, non-straight, non-Christian, etc etc etc in the world all the left is doing is essentially saying to them “you are too stupid and helpless to help yourselves, so let us take something from someone who can to help you along you poor, poor, schmuck.”

What a bunch of divisive, racist bigots they are…

Priceless. Did pay as you go in 2 year Tech School and never looked back. Landed Microwave Engineering job on experience. No regrets.

I went a similar route as Mark. I got a drafting degree at a community college and landed my first full time job halfway through the program. Immediately I saw that I wanted to become an engineer, so I took the first two years of classes at that same community college before transitioning to university for my bachelor’s. All while working full time. So when I graduated, I had zero college debt; I was able to pay my way through because I had a decent paying job the whole time.

I didn’t get much sleep or a social life during those years though.

Yep, there are trade offs in all choices. Hope you’ve done well.

I have a 17 year old nephew. He just landed his first job. Cleaning kennels at $10/hr. Sucky job. Maybe he’ll realize it and listen to me about the trades. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Earlier this week I talked to some kid who’s last week it was at the coffee place he was working at (not SBUX). He was leaving to go off to college in San Francisco. His dad is covering the entire cost. He proceeded to tell me what tuition and his housing costs were. 60K/yr tuition….and the kicker…$4400/month for his housing or apt. Over 112k/yr for just those two items excluding food, transport, and whatever else.
I believe he is going into some kind of medical thing, doctor…whatever.

Must be nice. My dad would have told me to go fuck myself. In fact he did and off to the navy I went. I managed to get the best interdisciplinary engineering/electronics education the navy can give to an enlisted puke. Courtesy of crazy Adm. Rickover. All it cost was 6 years of my life, my sanity and a good measure of my soul.

I would lay down odds that “dad” is working at a higher level of the FIRE’EM monopoly – (Finance, Real Estate, Medical) and wants his son to join the ranks of the same. What is interesting, is that I suspect we are in the terminal phase of the medical scam, so these kids that are spending all this money (or debt) to get that medical degree, once they actually start working in 10 years, the salaries may have already collapsed, and they will not receive the gains and riches they thought they would. If anything, it is a big gamble. The world will always need doctors, but at what cost?

Just telling it how it was told to me. Is the school in SFO proper or some outlying area??… IDK. He said SFO.

His dad works in some capacity for Apple, not exactly sure the specifics.

I started off as Megan and ended up like Mark. Three years studying Arts and Humanites with minors in partying, dope dealing and bonghits, a brief haitus then returned to study engineering (mechanical). I’ve always enjoyed my career and find as an experienced old guy that I am in greater demand than ever.

I think I benefited from my liberal arts exposure, but in truth a lot of what I was taught was bullshit..coming to that realization, which mostly occurred in the 80’s when I had been out of school for nearly a decade, really pissed me off at the time. Most of my attitudes and beliefs are self-taught and acquired years after college.

PS, I was introduced to Libertarianism in 1980 by a nice Jewish lady so take that, Loopey and Stuck.

Good to know as I’m a programmer at 56 with 11.5 years to go until full social and public sector pension. Anyone want to place bets on whether either one will still be that long?

From the looks of Megan, Mark has a 0% chance of ever getting a blow job.

If Mark is as smart as he seems to be he wouldn’t touch Megan with a twenty-foot pole. He’d wait, find a nice, loyal, conservative girl without a ‘career’ marry her, have five kids and encourage them to have five of their own, then live happily ever after….

I know of a plumbing contractor in Connecticut who claims that he is currently paying journeyman plumbers $350 per hour because there are so few journeyman plumbers to hire.

The smart millenial or Gen Z’er should be able to do quite well on a trade school education.

But then (unfortunately) Megan meets Mark and acts nice and bc of lotttts of practice gives good bj’s, they date and eventually Mark proposes.
They then have kids, Megan complains about getting paid $0.77/1.00 working in HR (or some other unnecessary job) and accuses Mark of oppressing her. Megan is a shitty mom who spends the majority on facebook/twitter/instagram.
Megan then decides she needs to “finally” prioritize herself and sleeps around, gets caught and divorces Mark. She then kicks him out, gets on the cock carousel, saddles Mark with her “education” debt and leverages the kids against him and complains about the patriarchy while drinking wine with friends.

Young men should be very suspicious of girls who are very good at fellating.
But then how do they know the difference?

So I guess it’s a sign of the times, but I was assuming Mark WAS Meghan and all the little white thoughtwerdz were going to explain “something something gender something.”
So I was wrong…

Bull shit , Megan got a degree and screwed herself for not looking past what some wonk in her public school system advised her to do as she was handed over to a shilock at her chosen college finance department . While Mark got a year of training in a trade that did and still should take a 4 year apprenticeship and in the end he past a test and became a licensed journeyman with 4 years of on the job training but that is not what is described . If Mark is lucky he is performing some mechanical service but $70 k a year is the exception not the norm . The norm is he is fighting to stay above water to keep transportation going while still living at home and he has a vehicle that his 2 bit fly by night employer has commandeered as a work vehicle as Mark has to learn spainish because the under the table illegals that get cash per day end up making more than Mark after expenses and taxes while they do the grunt work Mr 2 bit businessman is blowing smoke up Marks ass about what is in store for the future . Mean while he has no benefits no retirement and does not make enough to supply that for himself . Even at $70k a year if Mark is putting away for the future and paying for benefits and rent or mortgage the figures don’t add up . If Mark does not give a shit he will if he gets sick or injured . Get your calculator out and think long and hard before you think the scnerios of Megan or Mark are funny or factual overall . Fact is our young people have been handed an indebted pile of shit for a country and are being poorly advised by those who profit while leading them to the financial slaughter or by those of us who made out ok and don’t think those rigging the game did not fill in the loop holes we got over with ! Maybe Mark is a plumber for the NSA with federal employee status then 70 grand is believable !
