Proof that ADHD is a Fake Disease

Via The Daily Bell

Some children are better at paying attention than others. Some can cope with, or even enjoy, a school classroom setting. Some kids have more energy than others. Some are good at following directions, and some are easily distracted.

But just because a classroom is not a good environment for many children does not mean they have a disorder. They may have an Attention Deficit because they are bored. They may he Hyperactive because they are cooped up and forced to sit still at a desk. But this does not constitute a Disorder.

What happened to the belief in the uniqueness of a child? Aren’t they told they don’t have to fit in? And then if the factory school system doesn’t work for them, they have a disorder.

Instead of treating children like individuals, schools and parents act like they have no other choice but to let drugs make the behavioral adjustments. How sad that there is more willingness to drug kids to make them fit in, instead of changing the system, or being attentive to individual needs.

The Tragicomedy of ADHD

An article about ADHD from Healthline would be funny if it weren’t tragic.

Who gets ADHD, a graphic asks? Children living below 2x the poverty line are at an increased risk. Boys are 3x more likely to be afflicted than girls. Children with mild ADHD are usually diagnosed at 8 years old, while children with severe ADHD are diagnosed at 5 years old.

Wow! What genius did this research? Boys run around more than girls? You can tell which kids have more energy at a younger age? Kids with a less stable upbringing are less well behaved? Somebody deserves a Nobel prize.

Girls symptoms are less obvious, the article says. To act withdrawn or have a tendency to daydream constitutes a disorder. Of course, this couldn’t have anything to do with the system! Surely being force-fed boring and irrelevant lessons couldn’t have anything to do with a tendency to daydream.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) says 4% of children have ADHD, while the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) claims the number is closer to 11%.

Raise your hand if you’re surprised the government almost triples the estimate for ADHD affliction compared to a private organization.

But they say it’s not the government schooling system that needs to be changed, that’s out of the question! We just need to pump kids full of drugs to solve these problems. The children have the disorder, not the school system.

The two states with the highest instances of ADHD are Kentucky and Arkansas.

My first thought was that this proves that ADHD is a social construction. My biased brain immediately thinks: duh, kids in those states want to run around outside with their shoes off, catching crawfish and climbing trees. Not stuck in a classroom.

But I don’t want to just base this on stereotypes, so I did a little research.

According to census data, 86% of 6-15-year-old Kentuckians fish and 31% Hunt.

In Arkansas, 89% of 6-15-year-olds fish, and 35% hunt.

Who hunts and fishes by state was readily available information. These were the closest indicators I could think of that Kentucky and Arkansas children are more interested in being outside and active than cooped up in a classroom.

Compare that to the two states with the lowest instances of ADHD, Nevada and New Jersey. Both states did not produce enough data on 6-15-year-old hunters to give an accurate statistic. In Nevada, 44% of children 6-15 fish45% of New Jersey kids fish.

To me, this suggests that the states with the highest instances of ADHD diagnosis are also states where the traditional values of public education are least aligned with the population.

Children have different interests. Why do we need to fit everyone in the same “education” box, especially if it requires drugs? If kids’ brains are more attuned to fishing and hunting than chalkboards and composition, let them be!

There are all different ways to learn and make connections. But drugging kids up robs them of their creativity at an age when brains are still forming. This ensures they never reach their full potential.

Instead of letting them pursue their natural interests, they are forced into a mold. But since that mold comes unnaturally, they will never excel as much as their peers.

This sets them up for a life of “failure.” If the system just let them do their own thing, there is no telling what genius would be produced.

What An ADHD Diagnosis Does to a Kid’s Future

Some schools end up harassing parents who do not comply with their recommendations to drug their kids. Some parents are not well informed and take schools’ advice, wrongly assuming it is scientific.

experts have voiced concerns that students are being diagnosed with ADHD simply as a matter of convenience. Children who display behaviors such as inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity are often singled out for assessments. Some would say these are pretty typical behaviors for young people depending on their personality, but many public schools are quick to tell parents to bring their child to a psychiatrist for a diagnosis in the knowledge that the child will be far less disruptive once they’re medicated. It’s easier and faster than teaching them proper behavior, right?

A UCLA study found that kids with ADHD are more likely than the general population to abuse drugs in the future. But the rate of addiction was the same among children with ADHD who were prescribed medication versus those who were not. So it appears that the drugs themselves do not lead to future addiction if this study can be trusted.

But what if the ADHD diagnosis itself causes the future problems?

Kids are labeled at a young age as having a disorder. They are treated differently by teachers, peers, and even parents. They may develop social isolation from this. And as we discussed the other day, isolation is the main contributor to drug addiction.

So perfectly normal kids are having their lives ruined by a diagnosis of a fake disorder. It is only real in the sense that it is a social disorder. And I would say not fitting into the current public school system is an asset, not a disorder.

Parents Can Change the World

If you’re a parent who wants to change the world, you’re in luck! You have a bigger and more important opportunity than passing legislation or marching in the streets.

And as Voltaire (and later Spiderman’s Uncle) said, “With great power comes great responsibility.”

Give your child an authoritarian upbringing, they will bring those lessons to the world.

Tell them their normal behavior constitutes a disorder, and they will believe you.

But raise them in the philosophy of freedom, and the world will reflect these values.

Absolutely correct. Children are different! From each other! The most intelligent are the most bored. We cater to the dumb ones and leave the smart kids to fend for themselves or worse, we screw with their brain chemistry. Talk about stupid!

When my son was born, an old friend pulled me aside and wispered “never let school stand in the way of his education”. I agree the one-size-fits-all model is unworkable, but we disagree on ADHD.

I could not agree more! Schools and the AMA have continued to produce worse results YoY, despite increased spending in both arenas. Guess what, simply spending more money on something proven not to work, doesn’t change the results, it only changes the salaries of those employed by the institutions, and yes, we can safely refer to them as institutions or concentration camps, and increases the national debt, as well as harming children and the future of our country!
In fact, I would say that if you are a parent that has a kid that doesn’t fit in, you should thank your lucky stars! Mindless conformity is the biggest threat facing our country! It’s how we wound up in this shit-hole!

The ADHD symptoms can be induced by caffeine and similar chemicals contained in chocolate and tea, witch are consumed by children. High carb diet has to be considered too.

As well as medications used for allergies and asthma! Asthma inhalers contain steroids which cause hyperactivity. I cannot take benadryl, because it makes me hyper and causes insomnia for me.

ADHD is such a common diagnoses, 90% of it is bullshit. Interesting stuff physicality disorder was one of the terms used, given the great majority of kids with ADHD label present symptoms only related to school/homework. They can watch TV or play video games for hours on end, and usually do. The worst part of ADHD is that the treatment protocol typically involves giving amphetamines. Long term Amphetamine use causes serious shrinkage of the prefrontal cortex, the very part of the brain that is key in focus/planning.

There is so much vested interest in ADHD by schools b/c they can label the kid and get paid more money with an IEP. Learning disability kids get more state money. Parents can feel like they are victims and soothe any sense of responsibility for their child acting/doing poorly in school. Teachers feel like they “helped”. Yet these kids overall still tend to do very poorly with the medication regime. Of course the amphetamines also create sleep distrubances and poor quality sleep which is likely one of the major drivers of ADHD type symptoms to begin with. These kids generally are playing tons of video games/watching TV and eating high inflammation diets. Yet Big Pharma is happy to have a lifelong consumer of their drugs, and since little progress is ever made, more drugs later on can be used to help with sleep. In the early 2000’s you would see kids get this stuff like candy, sometimes sell their pills for cash in high school and college. A fair amount of psychological labels are suspect from a purely biological point of view, ADHD being one of the worst. It’s amazing to me how much of a pill society we have become that schools/parents so readily get pilled up, especially given the pills have serious longterm negative effects. Some of these kids on high doses of Amphetamines become hyper aggressive and violent as well and highly anxious. Then they can start looking toward anti-anxiety meds as well, since no one can properly relax on high dosages of amphetamines. It’s a sick joke. But hey its led to an easy path to monthly SSI checks, since its easy as hell to get ADHD diagnoses compared to many others.

The only classes as I recall being teachers pet were wood shop & metal shop , mechanical drawing not so much but I had a great teacher that saw that though I sucked at drawing it I could understand the plans and build it ! Like in music , I cannot play the piano but I can repair one and even fabricate a part for it . I was lucky to have a few teachers through my school experience that put a value on vocational training . Not everybody is cut out to be a Doctor Lawyer or Indian Cheif but that doesn’t mean you failed and the rich man uses his wealth and power to make you a beggar man or theif !
Our society has devalued the professional tradesman that can actually build and assyemble from a box of rocks or parts and now we are in short supply and the higher paying salary for people with those talents are to few .
Yes I hear the clamor for mechanically trained and experienced people , fact is the money generally is not there to cover life’s expenses unless you are fortunate to land some government contract of job . Most private sector employers do not pay enough for a trained pro to bother showing up . This is not necessarily the business owners fault entirely the reasons or excuses are a mile long and complex !
So for the boys that won’t sit quietly like the girls let’s Drug the manhood out of them . They will be easier to handle !

Why is it only the boys that act like boys that are diagnosed as having ADHD and never the boys that act like girls?

My oldest daughter (my wife’s daughter) was diagnosed with ADHD and a combative disorder. We started giving her medication. She hated it and refused to take it. When it was suggested we crush the pills and put it in her food, I said FUCK THAT. I’m not doing that.

My daughter had an abusive father and lived in a very bad situation for the first 7 years of her life. THAT is why she had the difficulties she had and still has. Environment and love, support and good morals and values would have been all she needed the first 7 years. I love you my daughter, everything is going to be OK.

Back in the day, these boys could spend time out of school in outdoor physical play with other neighborhood kids. Some were lucky enough to also have chores to do. Now all the moms are working so kids are in after school programs (more group activities requiring cooperative behavior) or other daycare situations. Ones that go home are sedentary, likely watching tv or playing video games. Seeing kids out playing together in a neighborhood is a novelty now, not the norm.

This is just one factor in a very complex cluster. Our natural and social environments have become toxic, and all the kids (and old people) with brain issues are evidence.

Just so I understand the topic, are these kids different from the ones that kids in my schools… and I’m sure other folks schools as well, called retatards? Or is this different?

Giving the children several 45 minute recesses in which the children could get outside and RUN cleared up the ADHD problem for most of the children. The recesses allowed them to burn up some of the energy that was causing them to fidget and the break allowed them to concentrate better.
In the schools around here, they don’t even allow the children to run at any time.

According to tests, I’m a genius (BFD), and late in life (42) was diagnosed with this “disorder”, according to the shrinks as “borderline Aspergers”. Okay, whatever you say. But in large measure, I was a pretty successful misfit and went on to be a bit more than “pretty successful “, financially speaking. Now, in geezerhood, I can do whatever I please within reasonable parameters and am as happy and serene as a “clam boy” as the Brits say.

They tried this one on with my son as well, prescribing ritalin, but I wasn’t having it, given that they’d tried that on me as well. It’s all about structuring one’s life in manageable increments, forget the drugs. Now there are those who want to “diagnose” my nearly-four-year-old grandson as another: ain’t happenin’! Resist this Gramscian lowest-common-denominator garbage at all costs! Tell the pc feminist teachers to take a hike or take your kid out and take a walk to homeschooling or whatever makes it work for your boy (because it’s the boys who are targeted). rather than allow these warped folks impose nonsense on your kids.

Although I no longer live in the USA, nor do my kids or grandkids, nor is it likely they will in the future, I’d like nothing better than to see y’all TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY!
