Congrats Eagles fans…I was a bit neutral in this game but was sick and tired of NE Patriots/Brady always winning the big one. However, as a Redskins fan, it was impossible to root for the Eagles. I just wanted it to be a good game and it was! Loved that trick pass play to QB Foles.
One positive of this Eagles win is that the NFC East is now the ONLY division to have all 4 teams win at least one Super Bowl. Division of Champions!
P.S. The best commercial was the Dodge Ram truck with a bunch of Vikings. Hilarious!

Judging by players’ comments, apparently the Lord Jesus Christ wanted the Eagles, which is weird since they are a Jew-owned team.

Then later in 2nd qtr, Pats have ball on about Eagles 45 with 4th and 6 – I’m open-mouthed as they go for it, Fuckin stupid. Of course they didn’t make it.

I just don’t see how anyone can get excited over “their” NFL team winning anything these days. Most teams are staffed with sports mercenaries from everywhere but the city they play for. The entire league is chock full of criminals, drug addicts and dealers, narcissistic buffoons, and wife beaters with a few murderers mixed in for good measure.
American football is just another example of mass marketed distraction aimed at keeping the population from waking up to the fact that the country is metaphorically burning down around them. Of course, this excludes Philadelphia, which is, in fact, burning down around them.
I tried watching some of the game. I really did, but I find it boring, repetitive, and lame. The pace is glacial, everything gets reviewed and dissected ad nauseum. The players are tattooed freaks, any one of which is on the field in actual motion for only a fraction of the entire game. It’s a joke. Athletes my ass. Put any one of these “superstars” in a full regulation rugby match and they’d be sucking air after the first ten minutes of continuous play. The capper is when they all stop playing for the last two minutes of the game and spend it congratulating each other.
How about that half-time show though! I’m sure all but the 30 seconds I managed to stomach was just an entertainment extravaganza. Watching all these people hip-hopping around disgusts me. American popular music and entertainment is a blighted wasteland of deviancy, corruption and irresponsibility. It was all on full display at the “super” bowl.
With apologies to Admin and all the others TBP’ers who find enjoyment in what’s left of what was once a pretty decent game, I have to say that the whole thing has become a spectacularly overdone, mind-numbing bore!
