Too tough for me to pick a favorite song.. I have grown to love many of his solo songs too… No way out of here, murder…cruise …

It’s a shame that they never worked with Alan Parsons, to my knowledge, ever again. The first Alan Parsons project was the best,
Tales Of Mystery And Imagination.
Clare Tory, who was ninteen at the time, did the vocals for Great Gig In The Sky and finally got song writing credits in 2005.

A genuine guitar God! Shares my top five list with Prince, Clapton, Hendrix, and Page, in no particular order.
I’m a big fan of PF’s later work, Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell.
Division Bell is a very underrated album. One of those rare ones that you can just start at the beginning and play all the way through, so well put together that the songs just seem to run together. A favorite standby of mine on long car trips, Ill play it from beginning to end without ever touching the radio.

Great guitar player. I still think the leads in the song “Dogs” are to die for.

The Wall was the very first album I ever purchased- I was 13 years old at the time in February of 1980. While Waters wrote the vast majority of the album, it is Gilmour’s work that really makes the album truly great, even on the songs that list Waters as the writer. The guitar solo at the end of Another Brick in the Wall Part II is all David Gilmour.

About to fire up Crazy Diamond.

Love Gilmour! Won a radio contest in Madrid Spain and got to have breakfast with him. His more obscure stuff is my favorite. I always wished he’d play more blues tunes because he’s damn good at it.

This one takes a minute to get going but give it a chance. One of his best.
MakeMKV will allow you to pull out the video (with audio) to a matroska (.mkv) file, then MKVtoolnix will let you pull out the audio from the .mkv file. From there you’re on your own.
Well, just one more, for my sister Pam who died officially about an hour ago when they turned off the machines. Thank you for everything. I miss you and truly wish you were here.
IS, sorry about your sister. What a perfectly fitting song.

I see some of you disagree with my take on the ” pop singer”. I ask all you how many minds did those Liberals Losers corrupt in the process. You don’t get to be your own little rock god without selling your own soul to Satan.Think about it ?
My condolences on your loss, and may she rest in eternal peace.

C’mon B, guitarist…. David Gilmour is the guitarist !
My first exposure late ’79 or early ’80 was “The Wall” walking down the hall at school with a boom box the size of a suitcase blaring “Another Brick In The Wall pt.II”
then I began to discover the older stuff. I’m pretty sure it was my fault boom boxes were banned !
Still a huge fan of PF ! Some music is timeless….
Great Gig in the Sky IS !

I appreciate it monkeys. I’m gonna try to not let it get me down as Pam would have none of that.
To top off this fine day my wife and I made the decision to put down the pup in my avatar….Rori on Saturday afternoon. She just turned 15 and has been the best dog I’ve ever had. We’ll have a day in the park to threaten the ducks one last time, maybe play a little ball if she’s up for it then a juicy, grass fed rib-eye steak and an orange Popsicle for lunch then off to whatever comes next.

Prefer this over the official vid.
I could do this all day!
An impromptu, acoustic version of Echoes:
Does anybody know of a way to strip audio files out of DVD’s?
