Vladimir Putin is expected to triumph in the Russian election on Sunday. In fact, the president’s confidence is so high that he hasn’t even bothered campaigning before Russians go to the polls. The question everyone seems to be asking is whether Putin is going to be in office for his entire life. As both prime minister and president, he the second longest serving Russian leader since Joseph Stalin who was in power for 10,636 days. Putin surpassed Leonid Brezhnev’s 6,601 days in power in September 2017 according to the Washington Post and he has now served for 6,788 days (as of March 16th, 2018).

Putin saved Russia from being completely looted by western corporations and bankers. They’re still pretty pissed off about that as we can still see every day in the news with the media calling him out as the evil dictator, in cahoots with the equally evil Trump. Failing to successfully loot Russia after the collapse of the soviet union sticks very much in the craw of the western ruling class. They were outsmarted and outplayed, they’re not used to that.
Putin is no angel, but he put a stop to the wholesale sellout of his country to the corporate vultures. Ergo; he is the ultimate enemy.
I’ve been smirking at their defeat for years, so satisfying. They never saw it coming. And they haven’t been able to unseat him either, now after more than a decade of trying.
