It’s just amazing to believe the sheeple of the nanny state will march ever further to the teat of government…. giving over their lives and ability for self determination & preservation. The ability to defend one’s own life seems like it should be so connected to the innate desire to survive, but I guess facebook, twitter and free corn syrup ladened food will keep the masses willing to walk ever closer to the slaughterhouse.

Tommy….when dealing with PC problems, you have to supply more info, like …….
>what Browser are you using?
>did this just happen or has it been happening for 10 years?
>have you tried system restore to an earlier date?

yada, yada, yada

I’d bet you’re using Firefox, and you have Tracking Protection enabled.

So Firefox blocks images from twimg.com, run by Twitter, presumably because Twitter uses images to track people as they use the Internet, so they can launder vice money . . . . um, I mean ‘sell advertising’ targeting you based on the type of sites you go to.

So, if the Muslim world declared war on the US, like world Jewry did to National Socialist Germany, would you allow them the means to do so?

http://www.wintersonnenwende.com/scriptorium/english/archives/articles/jdecwar.html

That would seem to be… not in the best interests of those that the government is supposed to serve, but what the hell do I know.

Seems there’s a whole lot of things done by the various governing bodies in the US that go against their “constituents'” well-being for some inexplicable reason…

Reiterating my point from an early Brit Knife thread.

The Saxon part of Anglo-Saxon was literally named after the Seax, the form of long knife/short sword/machete type tool that group of people ritualistically and always carried with them as a symbol of adult responsibility.

The people literally named after always carrying a knife are being stripped of their knives by non-Saxons. Saxons having knives is not the problem, and everyone knows it.

Outlaw knives and Outlaws will have knives, and acid and pipes and ice picks and glass shards.
I remember years ago in the Bronx seeing a black guy pushing his kid in a stroller with a Doberman and a Nightstick. Guns and knives were outlawed there back then. A small folding knife up to 2.5 inches was allowed.
Us hoodlums had plenty of guns and .5 in. iron pipes with a tee fitting on the grip because blood is slippery.

Carrying a kife was illegal in the UK 30 years ago when I moved there. I carried two daily and most Brits I knew carried knives as well. They were and remain utilitarian tools for most of us in our daily lives. I doubt any of us EVER thought about hurting someone with our knives and I’ll bet we hurt ourselves with our own knives than anyone else.

Fucking British used to tax Sun light coming in your windows so people bricked in their windows and then govt taxed candles. Then, the sheople found an alternative to candles that grew wild throughout the land and the govt moved on to taxing garden hoses and watching TV and simply being alive.

Taxing people just for being alive? That’s the Obamacare individual mandate. It’s been repealed, but unfortunately John Roberts didn’t declare it unconstitutional. We still don’t know what dirt Obama had on him.

Yeah, well in the UK they instituted the Poll Tax in about 1992 so they beat us to the punch with taxing people just for being alive.

My elderly neighbor came over the day it passed and asked me to take care of her cat if the cops hauled her away for non-payment as she had no intention of paying.

I used to joke with the Brits, who complained incessantly about the govt, that they would never revolt unless the govt taxed their car boot sales. They grudgingly agreed.

I expect some enterprising person will wait until the deposit boxes have wares in them (which, given the state of idiocy in modern Londonistan, shouldn’t take too long), then steal or break into the boxes. Black market knife sales extravaganza!

I just remembered this “knife” related experience while in England.

Since Spain was close by and I had spent four years growing up there I took my wife to Spain in 1992 for vacation. While there we used a friends place in Torrejon de Ardoz near Madrid as our base and took daily excursions to different parts of the country. One place we visited was the ancient sword factory in Toledo. We ended up buying three swords including the Columbus sword in the video below.

On arrival back in the UK we had to clear customs. They wanted the parcels containing the swords opened so we opened them. One cop said you can’t bring these into the country. I said they were wall decorations. Another cop said oh, if you tell me they’re a prop for a theater production of some kind that would be ok. I complimented him on his ability to read minds, packed up our swords and hopped a train for home.

More interesting was the shop owner in Toledo, Spain. I only took enough money on our daily excursions to cover meals and a few small extras but we really liked those swords so the shop owner said take them. When you get home, send me the money. I said no, he insisted so I changed the subject by asking for a good place to eat lunch. He told us of a great place (turned out to be one of the best meals we have ever eaten) and he offered to hold our bags in the back of his store while we went to lunch.

A couple hours later (real meals in Spain are an event, not just a meal) we show back up to collect our bags and ended up taking the swords on our word to pay when we got home. As soon as we got back to Torrejon I wired him the money.

As another aside……. I was Christened as a Catholic shortly after birth. My Christening dress is a magnificent piece of craftsmanship. Made of pure white silk it’s covered with yards of handmade lace and accented by small, natural pearls. It’s about 15 feet long with a little bonnet and everything. My Godfather was a Navy man when I was born and while on shore leave in……Toledo, Spain at the time and he bought the dress for me just a few doors down from the sword factory. The shop where little old ladies were making Christening and Communion dresses by hand was still there when I was there in the 80’s and again in 1992.

That’s what it’s called. At 15 feet long it’s a bit over the top for an infant but Spain is a country filled with hardcore Catholics.
