It’s about time. At one time (just after WWII) these countries needed help. Both with defense and their economies. WWII ended almost 75 years ago. It’s time the European countries stepped up to the plate and contributed to their own defense. Same for tariffs. If they want free trade – it has to work both ways.

As an aside, people should read up on the role of trade tariffs during the most prosperous period in US history and why the trade tariffs were incrementally done away with and what event this coincided with in our history. I’ve never seen it mentioned here on TBP.

NATO is supposedly a mutual defense pact. We’ve been getting invaded for years, but I don’t see any fucking Estonian troops helping out on the Mexican border.

The only reason European countries are able to fund their lavish social programs is that we provide not only their defense, but have to pay “rent” on the military bases located in their respective countries.
It is long overdue to cut off the “money spigot” to ALL countries, (yes, that includes parasitic Israel) not just European countries.

I used to carry an A2 and drive heavy ordnance like this gem around small town Germany for a few years back in the 90s. Those were the days- just after the fall of the Berlin Wall and during the Soviet collapse. It was still the days of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell fag policy, before the military went all soft or rubbery.
