more stable, yes. Even an investment, since big macs inflate in value over time(unless you already bought it). Of course, you need to consider the utility since it only buys big macs. Might be tradeable. But then there is the negative health effect from eating big macs too. And health costs inflate faster than big macs. Such a conundrum…. might want to ask Mr. Greenspan.

Considering the latest leftist crap simmering, I’m more inclined to hoard those McD’s red & yellow striped drinking straws. Those straws are some of the best, thick & resilient with their only drawback being (if any), that they don’t bend. Slurp, slurp.

It sounds like the guy working at McDonalds knows more about money than the guys that run the Fed, or infest the halls of congress.

The day is coming when that McDonald’s coin will be worth more than $10.

Made me think of this scene from the movie Idiocracy
Doubling down on McD’s. I worked at the Highland California McD’s just off route 66 (and at 5 other stores) when they introduced the big M. It really messed up a simple operation with the extra work to produce it. But it is still one of my favorite gut bombs.
Decades ago they tried to change the straw, no red and yellow stripes. It caused an uproar from the Florida fishing community as the straw made for an excellent cheap fishing lure.
“The straw lure, a simple as it sounds, has been catching Spanish mackerel for years; as well as many other species that like fast moving, semi-topwater bubblers. The straw lure consists of only a few essential ingredients: a straw (many prefer McDonald’s straws), split shot, treble hook, and of course your leader. “”http://www.floridasportsman.com/2011/12/05/the-straw-lure/
Eventually inflation will make that “free” sandwich token increase significantly in value.

Only has value if you can stomach a Big Mac. Which I can’t.

The Big Mac has intrinsic value. Whatever that may be.
The dollar used to have the intrinsic value of the paper. Now since it is electronic, it has no value. People instinctively know that and that is the reason the value of the dollar continues to seek its own level.
