Just last month, Pope Francis lectured President Donald Trump for separating children from their criminal parents (and random child-abusing drug smugglers posing as their “parents”) caught illegal entering America at the border.

Pope Francis has added his voice to those criticizing the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy that has resulted in the separation of families at the Mexican border.
In a wide-ranging interview with Reuters at his Vatican residence published on Wednesday, World Refugee Day, Francis said he supported the statements made by US Catholic bishops who called the separation of children from their parents “immoral” and “contrary to our Catholic values.”
“I am on the side of the Bishops’ Conference,” Francis told Reuters, referring to those statements. “It’s not easy, but populism is not the solution,” he added.
There was no mention of the fact the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops received $176 million in federal contracts for refugee resettlement in 2015 and 2016 alone.
Pope Francis had nothing to say about the allegations some 300 “predator priests” sexually abused more than 1,000 children in Pennsylvania since 1947.

In July, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro wrote a personal letter to Pope Francis, warning him that “a comprehensive investigation” by his office had found “widespread sexual abuse of children and a systemic coverup by leaders of the Catholic Church.”
Shapiro says he never received a response.

My Step father and his brother were both raped as altar boys by Priests, nothing done about it, just called them liars. Both of my Priests during our Catholic years were on the lists. I don’t know how people still support such a corrupt institution, its so far beyond a few bad apples. It was a systematic cover-up and child molestation operation, pretending to provide a Christian Church. I feel bad for the shattered lives and the continued lack of accountability. We still have family that go to the Church, it makes me want to vomit, but they have “tradition”. Fuck tradition, what the fuck good is it if it supported massive corruption. It’s not as if you actually learned jack shit at Sunday mass anyway. The Catholics I know only say Jesus Christ when they are swearing, otherwise you can’t tell they believe jack shit in their religion, unless you call them out on it, then they are all of the sudden Christians.

AS a 4th generation cradle Catholic with a Baptist mother and 4th degree Knight of Columbus I can no longer defend the leaders of the Catholic CHURCH. 15 years ago I stopped tithing to them for numerous reason. 1) the church continued to bully parishioners to tithe to receive Catholic rate school subsidy. Meaning you paid some to the church and get a tax deduction as a charitable gift Andy paid the remaining to the school tuition. In effect paying the full amount one way or another. 2) the school and church continued to increase wrong diversity into schools. Meaning they would only allow scholarships of the most poor, uncontrollable, violent, and disinterested families. These scholarship students dragged the class down in learning, demanded special and enhanced attention by students and teachers. 3) many parishes has zero debt but they kept build new building to plead for more tithe using the proceeds for more wrong diversity. Rather than bringing in underprivileged stuends that “wanted” a chance to succeed they brought in disruptive kids. 4). Numerous sex scandals. Many parents knew of weird priests and many undertones were available to keep your kids and wife away from these weirdos. As there would be a hellstorm against you if anything did actually occur. Better to remove yourself than fight for justice. 5) Sunday Catholics. People shaming. Many would get to Mass 3 minutes before and be gone 3 minutes after. Yet they would tout all week they attend Mass “every” Sunday. Holier than thou comes to mind. 6) my family showing up 4 minutes late was shamed publically by the priest from the pulpit. By a man with no kids nor a wife. My young child got sick all over herself and the car forcing us to return home and quickly bathing her and redressing to return to church only to be shamed publically. Stating “if you cannot show up early or on time one hour a week then don’t come at all”. I took his advice and left immediately allowing the silence of 1200 people watching and knowing me and my family were senior in many organizations, high givers and well known. I never went back and many finally noticed and asked. So I told them why. Many were brainwashed and said I should be forgiving. Wtf! The church and priest don’t have to forgive? Give me a break. My charity today is directly to families as needed via other non denominational places. I have no regrets. WE pulled our kids and went to the he public school and found our straight A kids were struggling to get C’s. The Catholic schools do not have to publish grad rates or test scores keeping everyone’s “believing” their thition Andy hard earned dollars are growing their children. Recently we also left the public schools for online/home schooling because my youngest was becoming a snowflake with brainwashing propaganda. I will take back this your feeble mind and grow it properly to provide a chance of actual success versus a slave to welfare and voting democrat to keep said welfare.
I no longer believe in any religion as they are all man made and man based. God is real and I speak to him daily and know he listens. I do not need a building nor human hierarchy to reach God. All religions were started and allowed by State/government to perpetrate humility and passiveness of the people to control them. The church was their tomprovide in the hardest times and get rich in the good times. All in assistance to government for 2nd in control. The crusades were nothing more than government endorsed killings and self aggrandizement of the church. Taking a new view on history of all religions has made me see howmfalliable humans and their organizations are run. The more people are waking up to this the more I fear we are going back to the dark ages so control by government/churches and be had again. Suppression of the people are soon to happen again. At least me and my family will be able to clearly see it and not caught up in their bullshit any longer. Freedom tastes so good. I encourage you to take a bite!
