Do Something

Robert Bronsdon (Hollywood Rob) August 2018

Today’s Quote:

“What is good? All that enhances the feeling of power, the Will to Power, and the power itself in man. What is bad? All that proceeds from weakness. What is happiness? The feeling that power is increasing— that resistance has been overcome. Not contentment, but more power; not peace at any price, but war; not virtue, but competence. The first principle of our humanism is that the weak and the failures shall perish. And they ought to be helped to perish.”

Friedrich Nietzsche, The Antichrist

You don’t have to agree with Nietzsche here.  Perhaps you might want to conclude that he is, in fact, misguided.  What he says does not comport with your own personal version of the word of god.  Whichever version of god you ascribe to.  But let’s take a minute to dig a little deeper into this quote.

What is good?  All that enhances the feeling of power.

What is bad?  All that proceeds from weakness.

What is happiness?  The feeling that resistance has been overcome.

This is a direct statement of the Darwinian view of politics.  The strong displace the weak.  So it is; So it shall ever be.  For you, it is good that Trump won.  For the awful other, it is bad that Trump won.  For you, it appears that Clinton is weakness.  She is falling down.  She is drunk.  She is weak.  For the awful other, she is woman hear her roar.  You choose to ignore the obvious flaws that he exhibits daily.  For the awful other, those flaws are all that they can see.  None of that matters according to old Fred.  He clearly states that it is all about power and if you have it your are right and happy and if you don’t you are wrong and unhappy.  And I claim that he is correct in this assessment, and that the people who rule over you and make the petty stupid rules that drive you to write articles about cars and laws know that power is more important than smarts.

In the end, however, Nietzsche tells us that whichever view is the most powerful will dominate.  It does not matter how you feel about Trump.  It does not matter how they feel about Trump.  What matters is the power of the ideas in the minds of those who have the power to exercise their beliefs.  You do not have that power.

You can only “win” by doing the work required to expand the power of your own ideas in opposition to those who hold differing views.  If your religion has less appeal to people than Islam, then you will become Islamic or die.  Sure, you can choose to die.  Millions have over the arch of mans existence on this beautiful blue dot in the vast eternity of space.  But that won’t change the final outcome.

You cannot choose to be left alone.  Well of course you can but by doing so you are choosing to lose.  You cannot choose to remain silent.  Well of course you can but by doing so you are ceding the victory to your opponent.  You can only choose to seek power or die under the oppression of “the awful other.”  Either you do something to seek power or expand the power of your ideas or you doom yourself to failure in the Darwinian struggle for dominance.  Either you are powerful and stand before the ideas of the awful other and convert them to your thinking or you are weak and shrink before the awful other.  It is your choice.  Each person in any civilization that has ever existed on this planet has had to make this exact same choice.  Most have been weak; most have diminished and been absorbed by more powerful ideologies.  You too may be doomed in such a way.  But to fail to stand and to fight for your ideology is the surest way to ensure that you will be the loser.  You cannot win by choosing to avoid the confrontation.  You can only win by being the most persuasive person in the conversation.

You’re Choice.

Do Something.

Isn’t this an obituary for democracy itself? Can one not say that democracy is only a fleeting event in history? Or that it possibly never existed at all, but is an elaborate hologram of the elite to give the unwashed plebiscites the illusion of power?

Could there be a view more powerful than truth? Lies perhaps? But only in the short term.

The power of truth always prevails in the end, because it is the only real power.

It is what it is and, in the meantime, all else is just trial and error.

This is why history really is the best teacher. Unfortunately, most don’t show up for class.

Pulp’s good. But if you hit it too seriously, leads to root canals. “Serious” is optional. From the factory. If yours came with it, you’re prolly stuck. Like super uber Noochee was. One long Tallahatchie plummet, that.

A disturbing post. Sounds like a quote taken from the Donald Clinton playbook. I can see it now, vodka bottle in hand, drunk on self, shrieking the above to no one, anyone, in particular.

And the cry continues…

“Do something.”

While the answer still lingers…

“It’s been done.”

Everything. Humanity. Requires.

Done. But the train is still heading off the cliff. It’s what the world as a whole has chosen. There is no stopping the train. We can only try and get some people off before it falls.

Nietzsche, Darwin, Marx… the 3 have many things in common. All destroyed God in their own minds and elevated themselves above Him. Most salient is the fact that they were used by the (((learned elders of zion))) to diminish humanity to brutishness in its own sight. And we’ve become brutes as the quote so accurately attests. Render the “goyim” insignificant unto ourselves that we’d be easily controlled. To view one another as accidentally advanced “apes” hurtling through the vast emptiness of space/time on a somehow Cinderella-like though insignificant small blue dot. An infinite quantum carnival ride void of meaning, accountability and consequence. Except what matters to ME of course as I and MINE are all that is important. 2001: A Space Odyssey come to life as I evolve toward godhood through my own selfish worldly conquests.

Seek. Dominate. Destroy… if it betters ME.

You write: “And I claim that he is correct in this assessment…”

Mission clearly accomplished. He is (you are) correct. This is the way of the world. Welcome to the world YOU helped assemble. What you see and fear is a direct consequence of YOUR (Godless, evolutionary) way of thinking. Karma’s a bitch as some like to say and it’s about to rear its ugly head and bite you on the ass. Hard.

For those with willing eyes and ears…

Eph 5:14-16… “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Evil wins. Until it doesn’t.

By the way, not being an expert existentialist, if old dead Fred was actually correct after all, does not his clear acknowledgement of anti-christ (man) presume Christ (God) as actually real from whom he rebels? Or was he THAT stupid? Just a thought.

Look carefully at what you have in common with “the daily satanist”. Read his ramblings.

https://thedailysatanist.wordpress.com/

Surprised? Is this really what you want? Because this is what Nietzsche, Darwin, Marx and all the (((learned elders))) have worked for centuries to construct. Humanity has reaped what it has sewn. The coming 4’th or 8’th or 16’th or whatever turning seems about around the corner yet again as all here will likely attest.

And still, gracefully, there remains a way out… far, far different than that which old dead Fred supposes.

Rom 12:17-21… “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

If you believe the above to be a show of weakness as Nietzsche would, you’d be very, very wrong. The above requires strength way beyond mortal strength. (I’m not claiming to possess such strength either. But it’s in my head hopefully moving toward my heart.)

When we meet the enemy on his terms, we become him. These words of Nietzsche are the seeds of discord sewn since Cain murdered his brother Abel. They are the utter failure of humanity as a whole, boldly, pridefully, fatefully displayed and lived day to day by most.

You write: “Either you do something to seek power or expand the power of your ideas or you doom yourself to failure in the Darwinian struggle for dominance.”

No matter what net effect my thoughts here either have or fail to have, the last thing I am is doomed in some “Darwinian” struggle. Expounding Gods offer of free grace is the exact opposite of “struggling for dominance”. It is rather an entreating. Nothing more, nothing less. It is not the way of Nietzsche’s world. Do with it what you will. I’m not looking to win. I’ve already won.

Your choice.

Excellent post.

Sadly, I find HR’s continuing protestations almost tragic and comical in equal measure. The thinly veiled hope, which is ever apparent in his diatribes, that someone could somehow prove to him logically, bookishly and empirically, that there is a Creator God who loves each part and person of His creation.

Such obvious desire to want to be convinced yet steadfast in his refusal to reach out to ( or even openly acknowledge the possibility of) the very One who could touch his heart and clarify Truth. Of such as Rob, Shakespeare wrote his masterful insights on humanity.

IMO, you are more right than wrong, Hollywood. If one would win in this world, one must fight tooth and nail, because in the final analysis, no one will give you any quarter. To hope for salvation from some dream realm is just too tempting for most. It is so much easier to grasp that as opposed to the intestinal fortitude required to face reality; the reality that individually and collectively, we are alone. We have ourselves and the ones we love, but beyond that, we have nothing. Fight for what you value and die without regret. It is the best we can do, we who have been cursed with the ability to reason.

That’s a lotta hate ya got there, Rob. GCP just need to figure out you don’t want to hear it and leave it at that.

BTW, I still talk to my nephew about politics and such. It’s just best for us to do it one on one, not at the family dinner. He’s a reasonable person. I was just ticked that my sis in law kinda ruined the jovial dinner. It didn’t last long and I will keep trying.

With respect Mary Christine, I was just taking what HR said seriously only the day before on Uncola’s post, “The Persistence of Their Delusion is Despicable”.

To quote… “If Doug changed any minds, even slightly, then things got just that little bit better. If he didn’t change any minds then it has to be his fault and he has to come up with better arguments. But he can’t stop trying. You can’t stop trying. You have to seek out the confrontation. You have to revel in the confrontation.”

Perhaps he is just a bit more hypocritical than he credits himself?

A nice little double entendre, if you like that sort of thing.
