The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore literally collapsed early this morning after it was struck by a large cargo ship.

The “Save Democracy” Intellectuals

In the summer of 2020, as I was getting into the works of Thomas Sowell, I bought a copy of the second edition of Intellectuals and Society. Ever since, I’ve been convinced that one of the essential drivers of how off the rails everything has become in America, is the contribution to the discourse made by radical intellectuals who are in lockstep with the political and media elites. The “save democracy” mania of 2021 and ’22 that led to the events of ’23 didn’t come from just anywhere and anyone.

I took a good shot at Michael Beschloss last week, and regular viewers of The Generation Report know I have a special disdain for Biden lackey Jon Meacham. In this episode, I profile the contributions of six other intellectuals who everyone should know about. And it’s not because they’re “brilliant.”

Fully Vaccinated

tr4head via wordlyturnings.blog

For the first time in world history, the term “fully vaccinated” is being used.  That novel phrase, like so many from the Left, was adopted uniformly and in perfect unison by the Mainstream Media.  The same lying Mainstream Media says they report “Truth”.   But, what does it mean?

It means that we are now living under a Nazi government because only the unelected Nazis in power can define what the word “fully” means.   If you fail to get the boosters exactly on time, does this mean you are no longer fully vaccinatedtm ?  Of course it does, because then you won’t be able to travel and buy food and stuff because your Vaccine Passport will have expired.

So, this will be a never ending game where people like us, now living against our wills in a Healthocracy, cannot live their lives in freedom unless they either commit suicide or cannot have children – the side effects of being fully vaccinatedtm.

Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions

If you have small children whose interest might be captured and expanded by a different point of view, I highly recommend taking a look at Flatland:A Romance of Many Dimensions.  The PDF of the book and a recently lllustrated movie are available free online, with links provided below.

I think you may enjoy it as well. I have witnessed many kids’ minds piqued at the concepts introduced and have been rewarded by more than one parent thanking me for the recommendation.

I Have to Admit to Some Embarrassment

I started to write for you all in an effort to hon my skills at writing.  I was inspired by HSF and Doug and others who could sit down and explain what they were thinking clearly and concisely with eloquence and beauty.  Beauty in the language.

I Know That It Is Hard

Robert Bronsdon (Hollywood Rob) October 2018

I am asking a lot and I do apologize to you.  It takes a lot of time and quite an effort to collect and view the information that can inform your world view.  That is why many for so long have resorted to MSM.  They don’t have the time or they don’t have the smarts.  They are too drunk or they are too stoned.  But in the end, if you rely on somebody else to do your thinking for you, you will forget how to think for yourself.  And so, having said as much, please take the time to watch these two videos.  I realize that you are busy, but you need to know this.

Hiding in Plain Sight

Robert Bronsdon (Hollywood Rob) September 2018

Sometimes we just don’t pay any attention to what we are being told.  The news stories are out there but we don’t have time to watch them or they are buried under the rubric of fake news.  Movies are made explaining what happened but we don’t see them. Or we see them but fail to understand them.  It is certainly the case that many people have become cynical these days as practically every bit of information available to us has been shown to be modified so as to deceive us.  Perhaps the information was created by a person or group with a very good reason to avoid a particularly damning piece of information.  Perhaps they were just misinformed, or really bad at their job.

OK, Now I Really Apologize for This

I promise to stop this and start writing again.  But…this second part of the discussion addresses at a very deep level some of the points of contention that have been expressed on these pages over the years.

Opinions are all that we have.  That is a statement that is obvious on the face of it, but it is not complete.  Opinions evolve with information.  My opinions have evolved with the opinions expressed by some of the writers on this blog.

So, please take a little time to listen to these two discuss some of the deepest most frightful thoughts that humans need to work through to progress beyond blowing each other up.

Well, that went well

Robert Bronsdon (Hollywood Rob) September 2018

Perhaps it is time to investigate another aspect of our reality, and the quest to understand it.

I am pretty sure that Sean Carroll has left some pretty good sized holes in his argument, but I leave it to you all to address how he may have missed the mark.

I wonder if I should even bother

Robert Bronsdon (Hollywood Rob) September 2018

This video was made some years ago.  Perhaps you have seen it.  If you have, perhaps you have forgotten it as I have.  Be that as it may, I see that many of you struggle with issues surrounding the science of evolutionary biology and rather than rely on videos produced by somebody that I don’t have the background on, Trey Explains, I would like to suggest that you spend an hour listening to these two discussing it.  If your time is too precious, perhaps you can skip the q&a at the end.

I can’t wait to have you all weigh in on the biblical justification for the wasp’s mothering techniques and I love the bit about the nerve that connects the brain to the larynx.
