But these guys are. And here they go explaining it very carefully. Pay attention.
I have not finished it yet, so we will be watching it together.

I guess that’s like two Jewish Rabbis splitting a religious hair; fortunately I have cows to feed; let’s see what Stuckey and the Preacher say first.
I’ve watched it. Enjoyed it. Am looking forward to discussing it with intellectual equals.
Not. You.
Still displaying your athletical prowess?
And, by the way, at around the one hour point, when the audience started clapping openly for Jordan and the pompous ass he was wiping the floor with was making snide comments about “Jordans’ fans”, I saw immediately why you didn’t return to demonstrate your athletic prowess.
Your champion failed to make his point, didn’t he?
And at the 125:40 point, the audience DEMANDS the host let Jordan speak, in spite of pompous ass trying to belittle him and shut him up.
You should learn to watch these things before posting them while sucking your, um, thumb.
Stucky, if you have time… and I know how busy you are. Jump in around the 130:xx point. The discussion, audience driven, gets interesting then.
At 1:51:xx Jordan responds to a dig and addresses the audience directly. That is priceless.
At 1:54:xx pompous ass tries to minimalize opinions of others with masturbation guilt, which Stucky completely rejects.
Oh, and having just watched the majority of the follow-on discussion between Jordan, Sammie and the host, who has his own Bernaysian agenda he’s trying to control, I will be posting a full post summary of both of these videos with time pointers to parts of the discussion which make my point.
If you are afraid of my viewpoint, you will ignore any and all things I write in the next two days, beating up a frenzy for Trump’s visit to the Show Me Center on Thursday. Hell, I may even link your stories to my 12 hillbilly friends here. They would love watching you squeal like a pig.
Tadpole. That is how it is done.
My professor at OU’s name Deborah Chester. She has a few “how to” books out on scene and structure as well as being dogmatic in her insistence on logical plotting and stimulus and response in all things. She was one of the Lucasfilm’s team of new scifi writers chosen to provide story ideas for the star wars stories. Her books, the Golden One and its sequels were very well written and her characters well received by her own fans, who loved her tightly packed active voice style of writing. She continues to be a successful professor and a successful published author, having, at the time I knew her well, NEVER had a novel turned down. Deborah, you are the best writer I know. Bar none.

Now, since your parents retired to that lovely horse ranch across the Arkansas line, how about you give an old student a call. Or send me an email. But don’t respond here.
Oh, and I see you decided to start spilling your technique secrets. Well, I’m not worried about TBP. These monkeys are too smart to worry about what a couple of twits with twats think.
I’ll be posting my summary of the second discussion very soon. I’ve managed to get through a whole weekend without the wound vacuum losing pressure seal. I think I’m back in business.
Somehow I don’t think so.
Very nice tie in to the Gray Champion buried in this by Jordan.
I agree. Glad you mentioned it. I’m summarizing some of my thoughts and posting as a full article.
Well, with my current notes on the topic, I think I will re-visit here to give my summary of this segment of their discussion. It really is a quite profound meeting of two great minds and I am glad I viewed it. I grudgingly admit I enjoyed this greatly and hope to see you on my new thread bringing some real valuable perspective as Sam Harris did to both sections of this discussion, even though a little hostile to Peterson at first, as you have been to me, Hollywood Rob.
Perhaps you will read my summary of notes three comments down and look at those clips then “rebut” or debate or discuss my comments or observations.
I agree with rhs. While I really have never dealt with a multiple personality person before it can be interesting as long as you don’t have to live with it. My major take away from the discussion so far is that JP does not believe in the same god that you do. The secondary take away is that everybody can see the same video and come to completely different conclusions. Peterson and Harris always came to the same point in their argument and they couldn’t get past it before, but this time, having a good moderator, they could finally come to an agreement. The agreement doesn’t solve the problem, but it does allow the discussion to proceed.
I had to take it in small amounts over the day but that let me think about what each was saying, rather than just standing in front of the fire hose for two hours. In the end, we each must come to our own conclusions. I personally find that Harris’s contentions carried the day. Not just in gotcha moments, though there were some, but on the basis that Peterson finally had to admit that his conception of the god that he uses in his arguments is not in any way similar to the standard conceptions of god. None of the religions of the earth would welcome his interpretation. As such, it is difficult to see then how Peterson expects to tie the significance of writings from thousands of years ago to modern day society. Either god and his religion must evolve, as others have postulated here, or it has to die out as it is replaced with more advanced concepts.
I see that as Harris’s main contention. I see the masturbation thing as comic relief even though it is a very good example of how ancient teachings lose relevance in modern society.
Please see my new post, Summary of Harris/Peterson discussion on TBP today and feel free to address my points of debate or add ones of your own.
What’s it going to be Barnacle Bob?
