Trump: An Assessment

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Trump the Great?

I supported Trump for president for three reasons:

Trump was the only candidate who recognized the need to normalize relations with Russia and bring a halt to the reckless orchestration of conflict with a major nuclear power.

Trump was the only candidate who recognized the need to restore high productivity, high value added jobs to the American workforce.

Trump was the only candidate who spoke to the American people instead of to the organized interest groups of the ruling elite.

My concern was that Trump did not know Washington and did not know who to appoint to help him achieve these goals.

Trump was unaware of the extent of the threat that his agenda posed to the military/security complex, US global corporations, and the ruling oligarchy. Normalizing relations with Russia would put in question the $1,000 billion annual budget, and the power that goes with it, of the military/security complex. Bringing home the offshored jobs would raise the labor cost of US global corporations and cut the “performance bonuses” of the executive class. Speaking directly to the American people raised the specter of a populist revolt against the ruling oligarchy. These are too many enemies for a president who did not know how to staff his administration, and Trump has paid the price.

The fake charges that comprise “Russiagate,” orchestrated by CIA director John Brennan, implemented by highly partisan Democratic operatives in the FBI and by Trump’s own Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, and ridden hard by the Democrats and the presstitutes, prevented Trump from normalizing relations with Russia.

Bad economic advice, whether innocent or intentional, misfocused Trump’s attention from the problem of jobs offshoring to tarrifs, with the consequence that he has a trade war and rising prices for Americans in place of the return of their jobs.

The ruling oligarchs have decided to make an example of Trump so that no future presidential candidate makes the mistake of speaking directly to the American people.

Trump was our last chance, and it appears that he is going down.

Trump’s Middle Eastern policy is in the hands of Trump’s Zionist son-in-law and Netanyahu. The result is escalated tensions with Russia, with Israel causing the destruction of a Russian Air Force crew and plane, with the Trump regime threatening Syrian and Russian forces with attack if any attempt is made to liberate Syria’s last province occupied by Washington’s army of terrorists, with Trump unilaterally pulling out of the Iran Nuclear Treaty, with Trump abandoning his intent to remove US forces from the Middle East, with Trump’s crazed neoconservative National Security Adviser John Bolton issuing audacious threats to Iran and to Russia, with Trump moving the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and with Trump cutting off all aid to the Palestinians who are in front of our eyes experiencing genocide at the hands of US-supported Israel.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

The Trump regime is either so incompetent or so intent on war that it does not understand that Russia cannot permit the US/Israeli destabilization of Iran any more than Russia can permit the US/Israeli destabilization of Syria. The crazed Bolton’s threats against Iran are direct threats to Russia’s national interests. The president who was going to improve relations with Russia has worsened them beyond the capability of Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Victoria Nuland.

Now I will be my own devil’s advocate. When Trump saw how boxed in he was by the material interests of the ruling oligarchy, he decided to finish off Washington’s already diminishing influence. He appointed Nikki Haley as US ambassador to the UN, where she has done a supurb job of alienating every country in the world. Trump has infuriated Europe with tariffs, sanction threats, and orders to Germany not to go forward with the Russian/German natural gas pipeline. Trump followed up by treating the UN Security Council on September 26 as Washington’s footstool. Trump with threats and sanctions is driving Turkey, Iran, India, China, and North Korea into Russia’s arms, and he is driving Europe into independence. In a stroke of genius, Trump, despite his thoroughly neoconservative regime, is destroying Washington’s hegemony.

We might never know whether this result is an unintended consequence of arrogance and hubris or whether it is a clever strategy. But if it turns out the way it seems to be heading, Trump will go down in history as Trump the Great, the man who saved the world by dismantling American hegemony.

If this is a clever strategy, (which is a long shot) then this is the most false flag, i.e. problem, reaction, solution method yet to be seen. Yet it is thus possible. But also, it could be the inevitable end result of “empire”.

Or a fool that got US into a huge war in the Middle East with Russia, Iran, Syria, China, the BRICS etc, that resulted in the destruction of our military and economy.

I’m concerned along with PCR, however I believe President Trump has a strategy and knows what he’s doing. Right now I think he’s appeasing the neocons because he has more important fish to fry. Namely, getting the wall built, the immigration laws changed, and appointing a SCOTUS judge. What’s more important than that?
I could care less how many countries he pisses off. He’s just doing collections like any businessman would? I can relate.

Maybe… but the elephant in all the rooms of the developed world is the completely phony economic/currency system we have. Nothing but fiat currencies, all printed so as to reduce the faith (an absolute requirement for all fiat systems) that they will retain an trad-able value. Scams perpetrated by every central and large commercial bank in concert, a tiny number of people with 10 or 12 zeros left of the decimal in nominal “wealth”, and it is becoming impossible to keep up the accounting charade. We are closer every day to a co-ordinated global reset, reckoning, repudiation, re-assignment, replacement of the current system with a new one. This new system will be synthetic, and imposed everywhere and all at once, they hope.

It won’t matter too much about Russian motives, or Jared Kirchner’s opinions when the re set comes. What will mater is how in the world they are going to get everyone to go (mostly) along with the new scam. Obviously, the powers-that-be decided that HRC was not the strongest candidate to have as POTUS while planning and preparing to implement the plan. For whatever reasons, Trump was judged to be the safer bet.

Is he in on it? I haven’t a clue. Maybe, maybe not. I am sure that Clinton wnd her crew were rejected because they would have insisted on too large a cut of the action for them and theirs, while Trump is likely to negotiate a more durable deal that just might include working-stiff Americans. Maybe I am wrong about that too.

I do know that all the bullshit in the media is placed and designed to keep our attention away from the global pick-pocket crew that is working everywhere there is a wallet to steal. They are hoping to get the wallets, change out the currency, and get it back to us before we even notice. They might just succeed, for a little while.

So far, if Trump runs again and there is not overt ballot box shenanigans on a large scale, he would win. We shall see how it looks in 2 years. In 2 years, it might not matter.

And then, twenty-five years later, suddenly, you discover they have taken over your child’s mind and sent him into the street to beat up an old displaced factory worker wearing a hat which says, “Make America Great Again.” You have the CIA and FBI spying on the President of the United States to the advantage of change agents. And Congress is dragging its feet on Trump’s cabinet nominees because they’ve been honey-trapped by the Satanic Pedophile communist zombie apocalypse. It is real Satanism, real pedophilia, real undead communists, and a real apocalypse.

Have you ever seen the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers? It’s an allegorical fiction about a communist takeover. Well, we’re living it. In fact, the pod people are attempting to convince the world that they are the ones fighting the alien invasion! This lie is repeated on every news channel. And you might easily believe them: First, because you did not understand who the enemy was. Second, because you don’t believe in pod people. Third, because you voted pod people into the White House in 1992, 1996, 2008 and 2012. And when the pod people finally colonized your government and rotted out your nuclear arsenal, the old pod president didn’t go back to Illinois. He remained in Washington to command the pod-people army inside the federal government, while Mr. Trump erroneously believes himself to be in charge.

So they don’t believe in Marxism-Leninism anymore? So why do we have socialized medicine? And why does Vladimir Lenin, who died in 1924, lie calmly with his eyes closed in his mausoleum on Red Square – not buried in a grave with a stone marker? No doubt, he is kept on display in Moscow because “nobody there believes in him any more”! It’s a funny kind of not-believing in someone, don’t you think?

You can look it up, I said if America didn’t elect Trump, we could get somebody worse down the road. He was the lesser of two evils; the evil of the day or the evil in 2020. I can safely say that – at least he isn’t (whoever the fuck would have tapped into American disgust in 2020).

You look around America today and would probably agree with LLPOH that it has gotten worse. At least we have Trump to push back on the bullshitters with their hand out asking for slave reparations, affirmative action TV and Movie roles, college admissions and respect. Had we gotten Bush or Bernie, neither would have changed course too drastically. They would have continued kissing free-shitter ass; taking a knee.

Thank goodness Hillary’s crew pulled a Lucy Ricardo boner (Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do) and cheated Sanders out of the running. That effectively took care of the Democrats. Now all Trump had to do was defeat the candidates from his own party. That was relatively easy since they had long ago abandoned Republican ideals and turned into RINOs. In order to compete with Trump, they would have had to take off their masks and admit their collusion with Democrats. Trump ended up being the lone candidate.

Where have we seen this before? Oh, yeah, Mexico where the chosen candidate runs for president against, well, nobody. That’s who Trump ran against once he bumped off the main Republican contender, Bush. Trump ran against a Parkinson’s stricken old woman with little sex appeal or religious social credit. Hillary makes Leona Helmsley look like a philanthropist. She appeared to be more gay than Obama. She also seemed to have one foot in the grave politically and health-wise. Paying homage to the previous loser, she picked a running mate whose name sounded like McCain, Tim Kaine. Maybe Stormy Daniels is right and Donald and Hillary did have a secret agreement; throw the election and get immunity from prosecution. The bitch would have been impeached on day one if she had “won”.

Trump takes over and immediately the losers get their panties in a bunch. Russia, Puerto Rico, China, North Korea, Syria, China, Israel…What did Obama do in eight years? He let that grifter Hillary collect ‘charitable’ donations from everybody. He covered the bankster’s asses. Now we have Trump squeezing Xi’s nuts, putting pliers to Pena-Nieto’s pecker. He’s got a finger in every international pie and the prudes worry about pussy he might have palmed.

I read somewhere that rich men are more like poor men than they are like middle class men. Despite what F. Scott Fitzgerald said, he may have been talking to upper middle class folks, the very rich are like you and me. They need money just like we do, they never have enough and we don’t either. Trump treats the free shitters like a poor person treats a beggar, with disgust. Only the comfortably well off think it’s only right to give money to a free-shitter. Folks scraping by resent somebody who gets free housing, free cars and free food without working for those things.

This is the reason Trump is in office, despite his riches, he is one of us. They’re trying hard to turn him into one of them. Now, if he went senile while in office, then, it may be possible that Pence would take over like Bush did for Uncle Ronnie.

Damn, EC, I didn’t know until now that you had it in you. Great post!

Let me add a little. The dollar will outlast all other currencies simply because with a little help from Mexico and Canada we are self-sufficient, or would be if necessary. Food, energy, technology, mining, timber, etc. But then we have oceans on either side of us and a military that ought to be able to defend us if not able to defeat a third world shithole. The Plan has to be to crash the financial system and replace it with something palatable. Trump just needs a little time. People who whine about ever rising debt and interest payments and all that are like the drunk girl at her tenth gang rape party who wants her virginity back at all costs. Get your silver, your gold, your cryptos, your means of living for a month or two while you can, and watch the show.

Don’t try to Kavanaugh me, I have well kept dairies showing I was in church that time.

Your ‘addition’ does not compute. I was not talking about the dollar. I was addressing the reason Trump is in office and the difference between his approach and Obama’s. Trump is trying to run the table on these fuckers while Obama was content to watch them using their cue stick expertly. Obama may have been a good shepherd but Trump wants to lead wolves. It’s time for the sheep to grow a dick. Those who don’t are going to get slaughtered, coin stash or not.

“You look around America today and would probably agree with LLPOH that it has gotten worse. At least we have Trump to push back on the bullshitters . . . ”

That statement led me to think you may believe Trump has nothing planned to replace the hopelessness of the “at least” assessment of his presidency. He and his cohorts have plans for the change. At least that is what I think.

“The crazed Bolton’s threats against Iran are direct threats to Russia’s national interests. ” —article

And therein lies one of the YUGE major flaws of “Make America Great Again” …….. a policy which can be summarized as “Fuck You! You must do as WE want!!”

Now, that “fuck you!!” applies to BOTH friend and foe. We slap sanctions and do other stupid shit to our allies almost as frequently as we do to enemies.

Many people applaud this. “Fuck China … they steal our secrets and jobs!”. “Fuck Germany if they buy Russian gas!!” “Fuck Russia, the commie bastards!!” “Fuck Japan! Let’s tariff their cars, tit for tat, baby!”. How will all that “Fuck you, … America first!” stuff end? I don’t know. But, I suspect pretty badly if all those nations band together at some point and decide to Fuck America, good and hard.

All I know — because I read Sun Tzu once — is that productive negotiation requires both parties to understand what needs/wants drive the OTHER guy. Looking out only for #1 can only produce failure. Trump only gives lip service to wanting a deal both sides agree on. His actual actions show a near total disregard in terms of “giving an inch”, especially on the foreign policy front (where he is largely a failure).

Pretty damned disappointing for a guy who wrote a book “The Art of the Deal”.

All you said presupposes that all those countries have not been fucking us for eons. We now need to be nice? Fuck that. This country doesn’t need those other countries, but they sure has hell have needed us to steal from in order to get their products made and sold. Look at China’s miracle. You think we came out on that deal when it went from shithole poor to selling products all over the world, mostly to us by its own technological prowess? TPTB allowed US corporations to hand over technology like it was candy bars to starving refugees. The US corps could only own 49% of a new company in China based on the giving corp’s tech. Then, later, the corp got squeezed even more or bought out or whatever the hell China wanted to do with its 51%. So then the trade deficit grew like Topsy and the US lost much of it good-paying manufacturing jobs which then led to more welfare recipients and other ills.

But besides all that, no one is shooting at us, least of all Russia or China. What could either possibly gain by being nuked back if either sent nukes here? As far as Bolton et al, doesn’t that Sun guy talk about keeping your enemies close? Did you listen to the UN speech? Trump says he wants everyone to honor individual nations, to cherish their own cultures, and to determine their own destinies without interference. That sounds rather unlike the Trump you described.

PCR and everyone else,it is naive to think in terms of friendship in international relations. Friends are those who see the USA as deep pockets to be picked. Geo Politics is a game of hard ball. Whether “other nations”like us is totally irrelevant
