Socialism Destroys

Socialism is hot.

Famous actors recently made a commercial proclaiming that “democratic socialism” creates some of the best parts of America. It’s “your kids’ public school” (says Susan Sarandon), the “interstate highway system” (Rosario Dawson), “public libraries” (Jay Ferguson), “EMTs” (Ethan Embry), “workers who plow our streets” (Max Carver) and “scientists” (Danny DeVito).

Wow. I guess every popular thing government does is socialism.

The celebrities conclude: “We can do better when we do them together.”

There is sometimes truth to that, but the movie stars don’t know that America’s first highways were built by capitalist contractors. They also probably didn’t notice that the more popular parts of government — public schools, EMTs, snow plowing, libraries, etc. — are largely locally funded.

“They should wake up,” says Gloria Alvarez. She is from Guatemala and says, “I’ve seen the impact of socialism. My father escaped Cuba. My grandfather suffered under Communists in Hungary before escaping.”

This week I turn my video channel over to Alvarez so she can give her perspective on democratic socialism’s new popularity.

“As a child, I was taught to mock socialism,” she says, “but democratic socialism sounded OK. It made sense that government should take care of the economy. Then I watched democratic socialism fail in Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Chile, Nicaragua and Uruguay. I learned that every time a country started down the socialist path, it fails.”

But every time a country tries it, even just a little of it, people applaud.

When Castro came to power, people cheered because he was going to help the poor and make everyone equal.

But governments can’t plan things efficiently without the prices and constant individual decision-making that free markets provide.

The result in Cuba was economic stagnation and horrible loss of freedom.

Cuban refugees who now live in Miami’s “Little Havana” neighborhood warn Americans about socialist promises.

Michel Ibarra told Alvarez, “You don’t see any future. Everything is stagnated. Health care, education — nowadays they’re in ruins.”

Venezuela didn’t learn from Cuba’s problems. They voted in Hugo Chavez when he said that “capitalism is the realm of injustice” and promised wealth would be distributed equally.

But when there was no more money left to take from rich people, he did what many governments (including our own) do: He printed more.

That’s caused inflation approaching 1 million percent.

When business owners raised prices to try to keep up, Chavez and his successor just seized many of them.

Again, Venezuelans applauded. Taking from the rich is popular. Ramon Muchacho, a former mayor in Caracas, told Alvarez that when Chavez seized businesses, people were “clapping so hard. They were like, ‘Oh, finally there is somebody here making social justice!'”

But government grabbing private businesses creates shortages. Governments aren’t good at running supermarkets. One Venezuelan refugee told Alvarez, “It’s like the apocalypse. No food. No medicine.”

But in the U.S., socialism still holds appeal.

“Plenty of (socialist) countries are nothing like Venezuela,” says comedian John Oliver.

“When I talk about democratic socialism, I am not looking at Venezuela,” says Sen. Bernie Sanders, “not looking at Cuba. I’m looking at countries like Denmark, like Sweden.”

So many American politicians now cite Denmark as a socialist paradise that Denmark’s prime minister felt compelled to go on TV to say, “Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy.”

Exactly. Socialism, democratic or tyrannical, means government owns or controls businesses.

In Scandinavia, business is largely left alone. Governments don’t even set a minimum wage. Economic freedom rankings give Scandinavian countries high scores on property rights and business freedom.

Those countries do have big welfare programs, but they are funded by thriving free enterprise.

In addition, many cut back on their welfare programs after they discovered they were unsustainable or discouraged work.

Think about that the next time you hear celebrities saying “Sweden” and praising socialism.

As one Venezuelan refugee told Alvarez, “You don’t need the government to dictate how to live your life, how much money you should make, how your family should be treated.”

Increased government control rarely helps people. It wrecks economies. It wrecks lives.

Saying that governments are not good at running things is an understatement.

The IRS seized a whorehouse in Nevada for unpaid taxes, and it went broke under IRS management in less than 6 months.

I figure it was too many “freebies” being “handed-out” to government friends and co-workers…..

Globullist too! It’s actually just a tax district of the WCCE – the World Corporate Communist Empire.

We all know corporations are remote tax collectors granted their very existence by the Men Pretending To Be A Government. The big.gang.guv can blame the big.gang.biz for all the problems that gang.guv creates. That’s why the USSA outlasted the USSR. USSA.gang.guv had Biz to blame, despite creating them (corps) and regulating them near to death. USSR.gang.guv had to absorb all the blame for natural government stoopidity and corruption itself.

Ever notice the people who think democratic socialism is “the way life should be” are NEVER the people paying for it?

What did the Bible say? “…the sins of the fathers …“?

Looks like it’s forever the children who have to pay for the trusting stupidity of their conformist, non-thinking, live-for-others-approval parents. They pay by growing up to be tax farm livestock, or starving to death to support their rich owners who pretend to be communitarians … errrrr … happy socialists.

The Democrats for Socialism are pushing aside moderate Democrats. Soon there won’t won’t be a moderate Democrat. They will all be fucken Spartacus idiots … the nuttier the better.

The Democrats for Socialism — Sanders, Occasio-whatever, Pocahontas, etc. and ilk — truly want to end Capitalism. They hate Capitalism with a passion.

The Democrats for Socialism control the education of our youth (from grade school through college). They also control the MSM. That’s why today’s youth love the New Democrats, and these utes will one day be the majority. At that point, if The End has not already come then it is surely near.

We need a super-majority of Repubs in both Houses. Then Trump should do everything in his power to utterly crush them over the next two years. I’m talking a Sherman’s March of annihilation. It can be done. Remember the Whig Party? They’re dead too.

‘Democratic Socialism’ is rebranded Bolshevik communism. The choice is between communism and groceries.

All those Hispanics in Florida who have bad experiences with Socialism: why is the guy who wants to turn Florida into Venezuela leading by a landslide margin in the Governors race?

Ethnic solidarity? Probably stupidity plays a role, as well.

It’s sort of funny that the imported brown people the Tribe thought would be their voting base going forward, are electing their own people as soon as it becomes possible rather than the anointed Tribe members.

Feinstein is probably going to lose to DeLeon, in California – for instance.

Actors and actresses only play reasonably bright people in TV and movies.

In real life, most of them are the common citizen here.

Democratic Socialism = Marxism = Communism = Bolshevism = total destruction. Some people think that by adding the adjective “democratic” to “socialism”, the outcome for humanity will be different. Well…no it won’t. But it does raise serious questions about democracy when 51% (and commonly a lot less in first-past the post systems as in Canada) can impose a rotten system on half the population and call it freedom. No…it is not freedom but tyranny of the majority and in many cases a minority. Therefore, “Democratic Socialism” = ecomomic collapse, poverty and tyranny. Words do matter as long as their meaning has not been totally corrupted.

Marx was grasping for solutions when he said workers would become educated, and take over the means of production. Unless there is some Darwinian event that wipes out low IQ individuals AND sociopaths, Communism is impossible.

But he was right about Capitalism eventually destroying itself. Pure Capitalism concentrates power into fewer and fewer hands. Without expanding into new markets, it has to collapse. Where are the new markets today?

I know FDR isn’t popular here (or on any conservative site), but all he really did was restrain American capitalists when we appeared to be reaching the point of collapse.

Has anyone found a new market Germany, China, and the US, can expand into? Do we have a potential leader who can rein in the capitalist excesses?

We either wipe ourselves out life in nuclear war, or our society collapses while we worship at the alter of “free market capitalism”.

On the positive side, at least socialism fixes the obesity problem!

Plus, you will not need the wall, as everyone will stop trying to get in, and instead will be trying to get out. Ask Venezuela’s neighbors about that.

Come on donkeys, we’re already a socialist country and you can bet it WILL go even further.

Good or bad, right or wrong, like it or not, income/wealth inequality (if it gets bad enough) leads to bad things donkey.
