If you support the government monopoly (aka public) schools, then you support socialism. If you support government parks, government libraries, government police, government firemen, government handouts to the farmers, government handouts to the flood victims, government subsidies to the banking, auto, steel, etc. sectors, then you support socialism. Stop pinning this on Bernie and Alexandria. The problem of socialism and the support for socialism, can be found throughout a vast majority of society. And once you are in on one program, it is pretty hypocritical to start bashing another. Central planning and theft-based funding, impact MOST of our economy in one way or another.

My contention is that capitalism leads to socialism which leads to communism/dictatorships which leads to collapse which leads back to capitalism. Who is going to stop it?

I fail to see how capitalism naturally leads to socialism (true, free market capitalism that is). I certainly see how crony capitalism does. It can be seen all around us. The government gets into the mix on behalf of some crony friend. Their involvement creates a near monopoly position for the crony which is then exploited through abusive prices, poor quality service/products, injured/dead customers, etc. Then the government, who created the problem in the first place, steps in an creates a virtual socialist takeover of the industry to try and correct the problem. Medicine is the greatest example of that. And inequality in wealth/income does not NEED to lead to bad things. It most certainly leads to bad things if government power, violence, etc. can be harnessed on behalf of those trying to “correct” these so-called inequalities without doing the MORAL things that could correct the problem – like working harder, being more creative, being more innovative, etc.
They always over-reach, then get their asses handed to them.

Out of 109 countries did they get kicked and sometimes more than once.
