It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science.

Regardless of what is or is not going on with the climate, whether it is caused by human activity, solar activity, volcanic activity or a combination of all of them, one thing is absolutely certain – NOT ONE PENNY, NOR ONE OUNCE OF ADDITIONAL POWER must be given to worthless government in order to try and “solve” the “problem.” All that will result is a decrease in overall freedom, a decrease in overall wealth, and a decrease in the options available for anyone attempting to address their own issues. Government “solutions” are always political. Al Gore and Elon Musk have made billions from the “carbon credit” scheme that has done absolutely NOTHING to address anything other than a lack of funds in their bank accounts.
If government is to have a role in anything, it should be restricted to enforcing private property rights. They have allowed massive amounts of pollution through “acceptable levels” defined by their “regulatory” agencies, have engaged in some of the worst pollution imaginable with no consequences, and continue to be among the largest consumers of fossil fuel on earth, from military machinery that has virtually no pollution controls. People and businesses being held accountable for their pollution (a trespass and property crime), would go a lot farther to cleaning up our planet (a real issue), than handing over our economy, our future, and our freedom to a bunch of lobbyist-controlled bullies with no accountability for their actions or their failures.

That old-school version of science is so quaint. In today’s science you don’t compare your experimental results to nature or reality. You compare the results to your feelings. If you feel good about the result, then it is now science.
I can’t wait until we start building bridges, pipelines, and nuclear power plants based on feelings.

Reminds me of all the theories on planetary formation. The “consensus” among scientists was that giant gas planets formed far away from the star and stayed there, like Jupiter and Saturn. Once they started finding exo-planets, they were seeing a whole lot of the opposite. Huge gas giants orbiting their star like a satellite. They modified their theories, but in all reality, scientists have no clue how planets form.
