We’re headed to the Shamrock in another hour or so to see Billy Jack and celebrate the New Year. I need a drink after writing my new article. I depressed myself. It’s been fairly mild, so we’ve been able to walk on the beach and boardwalk, enjoying the serenity and quiet of a nearly deserted town.
Avalon looking for sea treasures.
They still light up the ferris wheel at night.
We even got up in time to see the sunrise from our hotel window.
Now it is pouring rain. But once we have a seat at the bar listening to our favorite tunes, all our worries will subside, until tomorrow.
I wish all TBPers a happy new year. 2019 should be a doozy. But at least we have a place to congregate during the crisis.
Hope y’all have fun..Happy New Years…request nkit from BJ…SALUTE!
You’re the man, Jim. Have a good time and Happy New Years to you and Avalon.
Nice photos. The one at the top is my favorite. A beautiful image that I would mat, frame and put up for all to see.
Happy New Year, Jim and Avalon. Let’s hope for the best and prep for whatever.
Gryffy
Grace and peace to each and all in 2019 and beyond.
Happy New Year TBPers and especially admin
Definitely a rainy New Year’s Eve on an empty Jersey Shore beach is a misanthropist’s dream.
Best wishes for 2019 ….
a rainy day or night on a deserted beach is a great experience, plus it would sure as hell beat the loud cultural enrichment i’m going thru right now–
latins, mostly puerto ricans & cubans, are taking over my neighborhood–mostly good neighbors but no concept that the neighbors have a right not to HEAR THEIR MUSIC !!
And a great big Happy New Year to admin and all TBPers from the great state of Texas!!! We also had a beautiful day today. Clear, sunny and a mild 65 degrees this afternoon. Hope all of you enjoy the New Year celebrations safely.
Happy New Year to all TBPers. Your excellent article also kind of depressed me, Jim, but a little Canadian whiskey and I’m as good as new. Think I’ll need a hundred gallons to get through next year, though.
here bob,all the canadian whiskey you can hold–
Is this guy still there?
I hope you both have a great New Year’s Eve at the Shamrock, a great time and a safe trip back home. Already 1 January 2019 in New Zealand for 17 hours!
Happy New Year, Admin.
Happy New Year to the finest bunch of morans on the planet!
2:00 am. Billy Jack playing LA woman. Avalon still going strong. I’m dead. 4 hours past my normal bed time. Tomorrow will be a challenge. Happy New Year!
Don’t forget – it’s a Holy Day.
Now playing Wish You Were Here. I can’t
leave. Love Pink Floyd.
Now we’re talking. Jim Quinn, liquored-up and going strong at 2:03 a.m. . I can respect that.
Happy New Year Jim, thank for everything!
key West Café is a great cheap place to eat in Wildwood
Happy New Year to all. If SHTF, keep your heads down.
May you find joy in each day even as the darkness descends upon our land.
Depressed… your newest article sent me to the “How to pray a Novena” page. We should see results in about ten days.
Happy New Year from the northern Cascades.
Last day to relax, before climbing back on to the hamster wheel tomorrow, and resuming the grind, to earn, so to be able to pay the bills.
Retirement? No, not yet. Some day. Maybe.
Livin’ the dream. Mmm-hmmm.
– more like a nightmare, tossin’ & turnin’, occasionally waking up to cold sweats.
So to combat the funk, we bought a full body massage, and a hardcover book today.
Pricey indulgences, but WTH.
It could all fall apart this year, so, grab some pleasure while ya still can, was the logic.
Best of Luck, in ’19 & beyond, to all me monkey buds.
Especially to you, Admin, and Mrs. Quinn, and the boys.
Cheers.
Happy New Year Admin and Avalon.
Now I have to play some Floyd!
