Watching The Arctic Sea Ice Scam Unravel

Via The Deplorable Climate Science Blog

The Arctic sea ice scam began to rapidly unravel last March, when all records for Arctic sea ice volume gain were blown away.

Spreadsheet    Data

So far this month, ice volume gain has also been a record high.

And January 9 Arctic sea ice volume has been increasing for over a decade.

Spreadsheet    Data

The area of the Arctic covered with thick sea ice has greatly expanded over the past eleven years.

2008   2019

Ice extent is very close to the 1981-2010 median, and rapidly increasing.

My Northwest Passage cruise had to be cancelled last year, because of too much ice.

Climate experts describe these record large increases in ice as an unprecedented meltdown.

you know, ICE IS NOT MONEY.

so, a record gain is just as alarming as a record loss.

Wait.. Shrinking Arctic Ice was a harbinger of Global Warming. Now the increase of ice is a (wait for it) harbinger of Global Warming. WTF??

you DO realize that cyclical systems can have massive destabilizations which start from quite small oscillations which just happen to be at the right resonance to initiate a cascade effect…

Why does that evoke a Carlos Santana feedback scream? So, yeah, I DO get that. So??

you DO realize that not everyone you talk to is a “Global Warming” shill, right?

Yes. It’s called weather

Very interesting. I assume veracity floats somewhere. Salinity levels affect the temperature of freezing point. I wonder if melting ice changes the salinity; making it easier to freeze on the return of winter? Offshore fishing websites display maps of salinity. Or how it is factored into these observations?

“In water in which the concentration of salt is high, the freezing point can be as low as −6°C. Simply put, the salinity of water and its freezing point have an inverse relationship.”

So…there is apparently negative feedback. Less ice decreases salinity which increases freezing temperature which leads to more ice again.

I thought the libs wanted to do away with ICE.

Still no talk from the Global warming cult, about the solar minimum and the cooling that is going on. I bet they blame the cooling on GW. The sun isn’t mentioned because it does away with the ability to tax and control people.

Funny how the solar cycle is the weakest in awhile, said differently “less energy output” and the ice is growing at record levels.
I’m guessing these “scientists” or “journalists” never made the connection as children of not touching a red hot stove element. Cause the former example is just the inverse of the latter.

“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
― George Orwell

Sadly, the western world is built on lies and fake news as far as the eye can see. First the EPA and now Justin Trudeau has stated that carbon dioxide which sustains life on this planet through photosynthesis is a pollutant that must be taxed. The latest MSM and Democrat big fat lie is that walls at borders do nor work. The good news is that the MSM and the Democratic Party are viewed as sick jokes that have no place in a free and democratic country by a growing number of Americans.

Da earth gonna do what da earth gonna do, baby. And you’re a damn fool if you believe humans can do anything to stop it or “fix” it.

Doesn’t water expand when it’s frozen, and most of the ice is under water. So when Ice melts the water levels will go down, not cause coastal flooding.

Melting sea ice has negligible impact on sea levels. The volume floating ice displaces is identical to the volume it would occupy if it were fully melted.

Thanks for that. So sea water, when frozen doesn’t expand like fresh water, got it.

Hey Genius, the fact water expands when freezing doesn’t mean it gains more mass. Try this: place a frozen block of fresh water ice and a block of salt water ice in separate buckets of water. Measure the water level before and after the ice melts. Your partisan, unscientific little mind will be blown!
