SUDDEN VIOLENT EMERGENCY

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. As usual, timing is amazing.

I just watched Joe Rogan/Ted Nugent piece on gun control.

Worth watching, if just to reinforce why being defenseless is not a plan.

9mm -> do you have a full mag? – yes? -> you’ll be fine. No? -> Consider headshots.

While I appreciate the tone and humor of the piece, the simple truth of the matter is this:
If you find yourself in a “sudden violent emergency” and you have a pistol, you fucked up.
Not as bad as the morons without a pistol, but still, you fucked up. You should never find yourself needing a gun “suddenly”, it is going to go bad for you. Master your environment, choose the conditions, and for god sakes, if there is going to be gunfire, get a fuckin rifle.

Read “The Talk” in Taki Magazine and avoid areas with high concentrations of people who hate you.

Otto, when I try to put my Harrington Richardson Garand in a holster it makes my pants fall down.

Mount the Garand from a sling on your suspenders.

You forgot .44 & dont forget that revolvers are also good things to have mastery of in close quarters.

I personally subscribe to Herschel’s Dictum: “There are very few interpersonal problems that cannot be successfully resolved by a .45 ACP 230 grain fat boy.” To which I would add “hollow point.”

All joking aside, what kind of iron/polymer appeals to the average TBP gunslinger? Because of Shitcago we have to keep mag capacity to 10 if we travel that direction. So, when I am going to be in Cook County I carry a .45 with a 10 round mag loaded with 230 grain fmj. Everywhere else I opt for a high capacity 9 sillimeter loaded with 124 grain fmj NATO Ball. Depending on which pistol there are 17 -21 rounds loaded.

I dont carry anymore, lost all my firearms in a boating mishap while moving across the lake.

Why jacketed RN? Just because they feed easily in almost anything that goes bang & are cheap? Do they expand? Do they penetrate deeply? Do they cause maximum disruption? Do they perform as well as premium bullets? There is no Geneva Convention for civilians.

Check it out, a great resource that’s updated fairly regularly.

DRT, dynamic research tech, ie dead right there, are bullets with powder, no fear of pass through in small combat and disintegrates organ instantly killing. No fear of killing an innocent behind the bad guy. Fully jacketed hollowpoint so it opens up even on an apple no pass through……no lawsuit worries either….dead men tell no lies

I like the reliability and penetration of fmj from an autoloader. I have 200 grain hollow points for the .45’s and some +P+ 124’s for the 9’s but if I wanted to really whomp something I would get out one of the .357 wheel guns which I only carry with 158 jhp’s.
Back in the day I saw the aftermath of a shootout in which the state troopers emptied their 9’s into a car and all the hollow points stuck in the windshield! Penetration is what I’m more concerned with in a 9mm.

Since fake news is such a problem maybe congress should make all rights licensable. Maybe make everyone that wants free speech get a license. They must submit to psych exams, training and use of any open forum and maintain a pleasant persona. Why all the dems talk of licensing gunnowners when they also have the rights to free speech and guns. Why just stop at gun owners licensing? Maybe we need to take instruction and get a license to store our possessions in safekeeping (4th amendment) too. Or the 5th, we need to have a license to utilize all our rights, like not to speak or incriminate ones self. You license something that is illegal not a right. If the private sector did this it would be blackmail or extortion or both. Imagine, you must be a grocery store paid membership in order to buy food. You need a license to buy food or you die. Eating is no longer a right you must have a license. Because fat people eat more than their fair share and are a menace and threat to skinny society. Where does it stop, where does this insanity begin? Why just focus on guns? Because the few in power know even with pitchforks they are doomed when millions revolt……when they find out the elite have been whoring us all out selling us to the highest bidder for their own greed, thats when.
